하나님은 안으로부터 당신에게 힘을 주십니다
He Energizes You From Within
“너희 안에서 행하시는 이는 하나님이시니 자기의 기쁘신 뜻을 위하여 너희에게 소원을 두고 행하게 하시나니”(빌 2:13)
어떤 그리스도인들은 자신들의 영적인 어리석은 행동을 변명하고자 주 예수님께서 마태복음 26:41에서 베드로에게 하신 말씀을 인용하며 “마음(영)에는 원이로되 육신이 약하도다”라고 말하기도 하지만, 그 말씀은 칭찬이 아니었습니다. 더구나 그 당시에는 아직 성령님도 오시지 않았습니다.
성령 받기 전의 베드로는 무슨 일이 있어도 예수님과 함께 있겠다고 말했지만 그러지 못했습니다. 그는 “주님, 저는 결코 주님을 부인하지 않을 것입니다”(마 26:35)라고 말했습니다. 하지만 예수님이 체포되신 후 어떤 여종이 그를 가리켜 “이 사람이 나사렛 예수와 함께 있었다”고 말하자 베드로는 이를 부인했습니다(마 26:69-70). 그는 병사도 아닌 어린 여종을 두려워했습니다. 베드로는 아직 성령을 받지 않았기 때문에 “영은 원했지만, 육신이 약했습니다”
성령을 받은 후, 베드로는 아주 담대하고 열정적으로 많은 이들에게 예수님을 전했습니다. 그의 말은 강력했고 확신으로 가득해서 사람들은 “구원 받으려면 우리가 무엇을 해야 합니까?”라고 외쳤습니다(행 2:37). 성경은 3천 명의 사람들이 그 날 그리스도께 심령을 드렸다고 기록합니다.
당신이 성령을 받으면, 상황은 바뀝니다. 그분이 안으로부터 당신에게 힘을 주시기 때문입니다. 그분은 당신이 기꺼이 그분의 뜻을 행할 수 있게 해 주십니다. 새로운 피조물인 우리 안에서 일하시는 성령님의 사역이 얼마나 영광스럽습니까!
오늘의 본문구절을 확대번역본(AMP)으로 다시 읽어봅시다. “…너희 안에서 [힘을 주시고 능력과 갈망을 일으키시며] 항상 효과적으로 행하시는 이는 하나님이시니 그분은 자기의 기쁘신 뜻과 만족과 즐거움을 위해 뜻을 두고 행하게 하신다.” 성령을 통해서 하나님은 당신 안에서 효과적으로 일하시며, 자극을 주시며, 그분의 선한 기쁘심을 행하려는 뜻을 당신 안에서 일으키시고, 그것을 실행하도록 당신에게 힘을 주십니다. 할렐루야!
고백
내가 하나님 안에서 나의 운명을 성취하며 그분의 완벽한 뜻 안에서 걸을 때, 하나님은 내 안에서 효과적으로 일하시며, 나에게 힘을 주시고, 모든 면에서 그분을 기쁘시게 하기 위한 힘과 갈망을 내 안에서 창조하십니다. 나는 선한 일을 하기 위해 그리스도 예수 안에서 창조된 그분의 탁월한 작품입니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!

HE ENERGISES YOU FROM WITHIN
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure (Philippians 2:13).
Some Christians, in trying to excuse their spiritual ineptitude will say, “The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak,” quoting the Lord Jesus’ statement to Peter in Matthew 26:41, and Mark 14:38. But it wasn’t a commendation; moreover, it was before the Holy Ghost came. Prior to receiving the Holy Spirit, Peter, though willing to stand with Jesus at all cost, couldn’t. He had said, “Master, I’ll never deny you” (Matthew 26:35). But after Jesus was arrested, when a servant girl challenged him saying, “I know you, you’re with Jesus of Galilee,” Peter denied (Matthew 26:69-70). He was intimidated, not even by the soldiers, but by a young girl. “The spirit was willing, but the flesh was weak,” because Peter hadn’t yet received the Holy Spirit. After he received the Holy Spirit, the same Peter spoke so boldly and passionately about Jesus to the multitude. His words were so full of power and conviction that the people exclaimed, “…what shall we do to be saved?” (Acts 2:37). The Bible records that three thousand of them gave their hearts to Christ on that occasion. When you receive the Holy Spirit, things change, because He energises you from within. He makes you willing and able to do His will. What a glorious ministry of the Holy Spirit in us as new creations! Let’s read the opening verse again, this time, in the Amplified Translation: “…for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.” Wow! God, through the Holy Spirit, is effectually at work in you, prompting you, stirring up in you the willingness to do of His good pleasure, and energising you to perform it. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
God is effectually at work in me, energising me, and creating in me the power and desire to please Him in all things, as I walk in His perfect will, fulfilling my destiny in Him. I’m His excellent workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works. Blessed be His Name forever!
