Look Beyond Your Past
“너희는 이전 일을 기억하지 말며 옛날 일을 생각하지 말라 보라 내가 새 일을 행하리니 이제 나타낼 것이라 너희가 그것을 알지 못하겠느냐 반드시 내가 광야에 길을 사막에 강을 내리니”(사 43:18-19)
많은 사람들이 미래를 더 위대한 성공을 위한 소망과 기회로 바라보기보다는 어제의 실수에 짓눌려서 과거에 대해 불평하거나 투덜거립니다. 어제 당신이 어떤 적대적인 말을 들었든지, 일이 일어났든지, 쓰여 졌든지 상관없습니다. 당신의 밝고 영광스러운 미래를 보십시오. 현재와 미래에 집중하십시오.
지나가 버린 어제에 사는 사람들은 때때로 좌절할 뿐만 아니라 진정한 기쁨을 경험할 수 없습니다. 당신과 관련된 것들에서 어제의 실수와 오해에 초점을 맞추는 것을 거절하십시오. 어제에는 그 어떤 아름다움이나 영광이 없습니다. 그러므로 어제의 경험에 근거해서 삶을 살아가지 마십시오.
어떤 사람은 이렇게 말할지도 모릅니다. “이제 새로운 직장을 갖게 되었으니 과거에 일어났던 일이 다시 발생하지 않기를 원해요. 나는 정말 조심할 거예요.” 그러고 나서, 과거의 부정적인 경험을 피하기 위해 너무 조심한 나머지 그들의 실제 능력보다 생산성이 저하됩니다. 그들은 과거의 경험이 자신들의 삶을 이끌게 두었기 때문에 그들의 최고를 보거나 듣지 못합니다.
과거의 경험이 아니라 하나님의 말씀이 당신을 인도하게 하십시오. 더 좋고 영광스러운 미래의 기쁨과 영감으로 고무되십시오. 오늘의 본문 구절은 “너희는 이전 일을 기억하지 말며 옛날 일을 생각하지 말라”고 말합니다. 당신의 생각에서 떠나지 않는 끔찍한 경험은 무엇입니까? 그 기억을 놓아주십시오!
어제의 성취나 실패가 당신을 과거의 포로로 만들어서는 안됩니다. 오히려 말씀과 당신의 심령에 있는 믿음으로 무장되어 주님께서 당신에게 예정하신 영광스러운 미래를 보십시오. 그분은 당신을 통해 새롭고 더 위대한 일을 행하실 것입니다.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 당신의 말씀으로 내 마음을 새롭게 하셔서 영광스러운 미래를 보고 그 안에서 행하도록 영에 계시해 주시니 감사드립니다. 나는 어제의 경험으로 인해 방해 받기를 거절합니다. 당신의 영광을 위해 내 길은 빛나는 빛 같이 점점 더 빛납니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

LOOK BEYOND YOUR PAST
Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing… (Isaiah 43:18-19).
Many gripe and grumble about their past, weighed down by the mistakes of yesterday, instead of looking at the future with the hope and opportunities it presents for greater success. It makes no difference what was said, done or written against you yesterday; see your bright and glorious future ahead.
Focus on the present and the future. Those who live in yesterday are often frustrated and can’t experience true joy. In your relationships, refuse to focus on the mistakes and misgivings of yesterday. There’s no beauty or glory in yesterday; therefore, refuse to live your life on the basis of yesterday’s experiences.
Someone may say, “Now that I have this new job, I don’t want what happened to me in the past to happen again. I’m going to be very careful.” Then, as a result of being too careful to avoid whatever negative experience they might have had in the past, their productivity falls short of their actual capacity. Their best is unseen and unheard because they’ve allowed their past experiences to guide their lives.
Let the Word of God, not your past experiences, guide you. Be inspired by the joy and inspiration of a better and more glorious tomorrow. Our theme verse says, “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old….” What’s that terrible experience that wouldn’t leave your mind? Let it go!
Neither the accomplishments nor failures of yesterday should make you a captive of your past. Rather, armed with the Word and with faith in your heart, apprehend the glorious future the Lord has ordained for you, and He’ll do new and greater things through you.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for renewing my mind through your Word and enlightening my spirit to see and walk in my glorious future. I refuse to be held back by yesterday’s experiences, for my path is as a shining light, shining brighter and brighter, for your glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
