Acknowledge The Good In You
“이로써 네 믿음의 교제가 우리 가운데 있는 선을 알게 하고 그리스도께 이르도록 역사하느니라”(몬 1:6)
어제 말씀의 실재에서 저는 사도 바울이 로마 교회를 방문하려는 의도를 밝힌 로마서 15:29의 통찰력 있는 말씀을 설명해 드렸습니다. “내가 너희에게 나아갈 때에 그리스도의 충만한 복을 가지고 갈 줄을 아노라” 바울이 복음의 충만한 축복 가운데 행할 수 있었다면, 당신도 그렇게 할 수 있습니다! 이것이 당신의 부르심입니다. 그러나 많은 사람들은 이 실재 가운데 어떻게 행해야 하는지 모르고 있습니다. 그리스도의 복음의 충만한 축복 가운데 어떻게 행해야 하는지 모릅니다.
그러나 오늘의 본문 구절은 매우 중요한 진리를 알려줍니다. “이로써 네 믿음의 교제가 우리 가운데 있는 선을 알게 하고 그리스도께 이르도록 역사하느니라.” 이는 곧 당신의 믿음을 나누고, 참여하고, 행하는 것이 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 당신 안에 있는 모든 선한 것을 인식함으로써 효과적이게 된다는 뜻입니다. 다시 말해, 당신의 믿음을 효과적으로 만드는 방법은 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 당신 안에 있는 선한 것들을 인식하는 것입니다.
바울이 사용한 “인식하다”라는 단어는 그리스어 “에피그노시스(epignosis)”에서 번역되었습니다. 이 단어는 완전한 분별력과 인식을 의미합니다. 이는 어떤 사람이 실제로 알고 있는 지식이며, 지식의 대상과의 관계를 포함하는 지식입니다. 하나님께서 복음을 통해 당신을 어떻게 만드셨는지, 당신 안에 무엇을 두셨는지에 대한 정확하고 올바른 이해입니다.
이제 당신은 거듭나서 그리스도 예수 안에 있기 때문에 하나님께서 당신이 알기 원하시는 선한 것들이 당신 안에 있습니다. 하나님의 말씀과 성령님의 사역만이 이러한 지식을 얻을 수 있는 유일하게 신뢰할 수 있는 원천입니다. 골로새서 1:9-10에서 바울은 동일한 단어 에피그노시스를 사용합니다. “이로써 우리도 듣던 날부터 너희를 위하여 기도하기를 그치지 아니하고 구하노니 너희로 하여금 모든 신령한 지혜와 총명에 하나님의 뜻을 아는 것(그리스어: 에피그노시스)으로 채우게 하시고.”
복음의 축복의 충만함 가운데 행하기 위해서는 그리스도 안에 있는 당신 안의 선한 것들에 대한 능동적인 인식과 완전하고 정확한 지식이 필요합니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!

사랑하는 아버지, 내 안에 있는 좋은 것들에 감사드립니다. 나는 이 축복의 충만함을 인식하고 그 안에서 행하며, 내 삶에서 결과를 맺고 다른 사람들에게 축복이 됩니다. 나는 말씀과 성령을 통해 그리스도 안에 있는 나의 유업에 대한 정확한 지식을 얻고 그 실재 안에 삽니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

ACKNOWLEDGE THE GOOD IN YOU
“That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus” (Philemon 1:6).
In our previous study, I explained the insightful words of the Apostle Paul in Romans 15:29, where he expressed his intentions regarding his visit to the Roman church: “And I am sure that, when I come unto you, I shall come in the fulness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ.” If Paul could walk in the fullness of the blessings of the Gospel, so can you! It’s your calling. Many are however at sea as to how to walk in this reality; how to walk in the fulness of the blessing of the Gospel of Christ!
But our theme verse reveals an important truth that’s very key. It says, “That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.” That means the sharing or participation of your faith, the exercise of your faith will become effectual through the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. In other words, the way to make your faith effectual is by acknowledging the good things in you in Christ Jesus.
The word, “acknowledge,” as used by Paul is translated from the Greek “epignōsis.” It means to have full discernment, a recognition. It is the knowledge in which the knower relates to that which is known; it’s a knowledge that involves a relationship with the object of knowledge. It is a precise, accurate and correct understanding of what God has made you and what He has deposited in you through the Gospel.
Now that you’re born again and in Christ Jesus, there are certain good things within you that He wants you to take knowledge of. The Word of God and the ministry of the Spirit remain the only reliable source for you to acquire this kind of knowledge. Again, in Colossians 1:9-10, Paul uses the same word, epignosis: “For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge, (Greek: epignosis) of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.”
Walking in the fullness of the blessings of the Gospel requires active acknowledgement, full and precise knowledge of the good things within you in Christ. Blessed be God!
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the good things that are in me. I acknowledge and walk in the fullness of these blessings, producing results in my life and being a blessing to others. Through the Word and the Spirit, I gain accurate knowledge of my inheritance in Christ and live in the reality of it, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
