The Power Of Giving

“가이사랴에 고넬료라 하는 사람이 있으니 이탈리아 부대라 하는 군대의 백부장이라 그가 경건하여 온 지방과 더불어 하나님을 경외하며 백성을 많이 구제하고 하나님께 항상 기도하더니”(행 10:1-2)

하나님은 분명히 이기심을 반대하십니다. 반대로, 그분은 주는 자를 구원하고, 축복하고, 높이기 위한 기회를 활용하실 것입니다. “구원하다”라는 단어에 주목하십시오. 주는 자, 즉 자유롭고 관대한 사람인 비그리스도인들도 하나님의 관심을 받으며, 하나님은 그들을 구원하기를 원하십니다. 만일 하나님이 그들을 위해 기도하는 사람을 찾으신다면, 그분은 그분의 합법적인 권리를 행사하여 그들을 구원으로 인도하실 것입니다.
사도행전 10장에 나오는 고넬료의 이야기는 이 진리를 아름답게 보여줍니다. 고넬료는 로마의 백부장이자 이방인이었고, 유대인 공동체의 일원이 아니었습니다. 그러나 고넬료는 하나님을 경외하는 경건한 사람이었고, 그의 관대함은 널리 알려져 있었습니다. 고넬료는 사람들을 구제하고 끊임없이 기도했습니다.
고넬료의 헌금과 기도는 주목받지 못한 것이 아니었습니다. 그것들은 하나님 앞에 기념물로 올라갔습니다. 고넬료의 관대함으로 인해 하나님께서는 천사를 보내셔서 고넬료에게 신성한 지시를 내리시고, 베드로에게 구원의 메시지를 전하게 하셨습니다. 생각해 보십시오. 고넬료의 헌금으로 인해 천사가 나타났습니다!

THE POWER OF GIVING

“There was a certain man in Caesarea called Cornelius, a centurion of the band called the Italian band, a devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway” (Acts 10:1-2).

God is plainly against selfishness. Conversely, He’ll seize any opportunity to save, bless, and uplift a giver. Notice the word “save”; even non-Christians who are givers—who are liberal and generous—get God’s attention, and He seeks to save them. If He can find someone to pray for them, He will exercise His legal right to act and guide them into salvation.
The story of Cornelius in Acts 10 beautifully illustrates this truth. Cornelius was a Roman centurion, a Gentile, and not part of the Jewish community. Yet, he was a devout man who feared God and was known for his generosity. He gave alms to the people and prayed continually.
His giving and prayers did not go unnoticed; they ascended as a memorial before God. Because of his generosity, God sent an angel to Cornelius with a divine instruction to send for Peter who would bring him the message of salvation. Think about it; an angel appeared to Cornelius because of his giving!
God orchestrated an entire salvation plan for Cornelius, his family, and his household because of his generosity. As Peter preached about Jesus Christ, the Holy Spirit fell upon everyone present. They began speaking in tongues and praising God. This moment was a pivotal point in the Early Church, highlighting the universal vision of the Gospel.
God despises stinginess; it is contrary to His nature and reflects the nature of the devil. So, every time God looks at a stingy person, He sees the enemy. But when He sees a giver, He sees something of Himself in that person and He’s drawn to that one in love. 2 Corinthians 9:7 AMPC says, “…God loves (He takes pleasure in, prizes above other things, and is unwilling to abandon or to do without) a cheerful (joyous, “prompt to do it”) giver [whose heart is in his giving].” Let this be your description, and your experience of God’s love will be overwhelming.

CONFESSION
I’m a cheerful giver, and through my giving, I position myself in alignment with God’s divine purpose, experiencing His abundant grace. I function in supernatural blessings, favours, and increase. Thank you Lord for making me a channel and a conduit of blessings to my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

그리스도인으로서 우리가 예수 그리스도가 우리 삶의 주님이라고 말할 때, 이는 그분이 우리의 구원자라는 의미보다 더 많은 것을 포함합니다. 히브리어와 그리스어로 “주님”이라는 단어는 주인, 돌보는 자, 양식 제공자, 유지하는 자, 상사, 선생님을 포함하는 의미를 가집니다. 이것이 예수님이 주님이라는 의미의 본질입니다. 그분은 당신의 유지자, 주인, 돌보는 자, 양식 제공자, 선생님이십니다.

THE LORD—YOUR SUSTAINER AND PROVIDER

“But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19).

As Christians, when we say Jesus Christ is Lord of our lives it means more than He being our saviour. The Hebrew and Greek words for “Lord” carry the same meaning, which includes master, caretaker, bread provider, sustainer, boss, and teacher. This is the essence of what it means for Jesus to be Lord; it means He’s your sustainer, your master, your caretaker, your bread provider, and your teacher.
If this is true, and thank God it is, then it means He’s more than capable of taking care of you. You don’t have to beg Him to take care of you or plead with Him to provide your needs with a sense of desperation, as if He’s reluctant to do so. This kind of prayer reflects a lack of understanding of who Jesus is as your Lord and Sustainer.
Read His words in Matthew 7:11, “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” Ponder this for a moment. You have to learn to trust the Lord and rely solely on His Word. Act on His Word. The world’s systems are failing.
In the days of Joseph, the Bible records that “money failed.” Inflation was rampant, and the currency became worthless. But in the midst of that failure, God’s people experienced supernatural prosperity. Why? Their trust was in the Lord, their sustainer.
The Lord Jesus is more than able to sustain you through every season of life. Read Matthew 6:25-33 where He stresses your value, and then tells you what to do and what not to do. So, act on His Word today. The triumphant life is for those who act on God’s Word.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for being my Lord and Sustainer. I refuse to be anxious about anything because I know that you are my Caretaker, Provider, Teacher, Source and Sustainer. My trust is in you, and I function in supernatural prosperity as I live by your Word in victory every day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Understanding The Power Of His Matchless Name

“너희가 내 이름으로 무엇을 구하든지 내가 그것을 행하리니 이것은 아버지께서 아들 안에서 영광을 받게 하려 함이라. 너희가 내 이름으로 무엇이든지 구하면 내가 그것을 행하리라.”(요 14:13-14, 한글 흠정역)

예수 이름은 비길 수 없는 중요성을 가지고 있습니다. 그러므로 그분의 비길 수 없는 이름의 능력을 이해하는 것은 모든 그리스도인에게 매우 중요합니다. 사도 바울은 골로새서 1:16-19에서 주 예수님의 탁월하심을 강조합니다. “만물이 그에게서 창조되되 하늘과 땅에서 보이는 것들과 보이지 않는 것들과 혹은 왕권들이나 주권들이나 통치자들이나 권세들이나 만물이 다 그로 말미암고 그를 위하여 창조되었고 또한 그가 만물보다 먼저 계시고 만물이 그 안에 함께 섰느니라 그는 몸인 교회의 머리시라 그가 근본이시요 죽은 자들 가운데서 먼저 나신 이시니 이는 친히 만물의 으뜸이 되려 하심이요 아버지께서는 모든 충만으로 예수 안에 거하게 하시고”
모든 것이 그분으로 말미암아 그분을 위하여 창조되었다고 말한 것에 주목하십시오. 이는 보이는 것이든 보이지 않는 것이든, 왕좌든, 통치권이든, 정사든, 권세든, 존재하는 모든 것이 주 예수님께 그들의 존재를 빚지고 있음을 의미합니다. 또한 에베소서 1:21(확대번역본)은 주 예수님이 “모든 통치와 권세와 능력과 주권과 이 시대와 이 세상뿐 아니라 오는 시대와 세상에 [일컫는 모든 이름 위에 뛰어나게] 하시고”라고 분명하게 선포합니다.

UNDERSTANDING THE POWER OF HIS MATCHLESS NAME

“And whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If ye shall ask any thing in My name, I will do it” (John 14:13-14).

The Name of Jesus holds unparalleled significance, and so, understanding the power behind His matchless Name is crucial for every Christian. In Colossians 1:16-19, the Apostle Paul emphasizes the pre-eminence of the Lord Jesus: “For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him: And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist. And He is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things He might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in Him should all fullness dwell.”
Observe that it says: All things were created by Him and for Him—Jesus. This means everything in existence, whether visible or invisible, whether thrones, dominions, principalities, or powers, owe their existence to the Lord Jesus. Also, Ephesians 1:21 (AMPC) unequivocally declares that the Lord Jesus is “Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come.”
Therefore, praying in the Name of Jesus is not a religious formality; it’s a privilege, an honour beyond description. His Name is the greatest name in heaven, on earth, and under the earth. The Bible tells us in Philippians 2:9-11, “Wherefore God also hath highly exalted Him, and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow….”
Using the Name of Jesus in prayer means you have access to all that He is and all that He has. It means you’re operating with His authority and divine power. When you pray in His Name, you’re aligning yourself with the One who created all things and holds all things together. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the authority of the Name of Jesus and the privilege to pray in that name and receive answers. I’m grateful for the opportunity to use the Name of Jesus to effect changes, and establish your will in the earth and in men’s lives; I walk in the fullness of this power and provision, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

“이는 주께서 내 영혼을 스올에 버리지 아니하시며 주의 거룩한 자를 멸망시키지 않으실 것임이니이다”(시 16:10)

주 예수님에 관한 모든 것이 미리 예언되었습니다. 그분의 탄생, 삶, 죽음, 장사됨, 부활, 그리고 영광스러운 승천까지 모두 예언되었습니다. 예수님이 “… 하나님이여 보시옵소서 두루마리 책에 나를 가리켜 기록된 것과 같이 하나님의 뜻을 행하러 왔나이다 하셨느니라”(히 10:7)고 말씀하신 것은 당연합니다. 예를 들어, 예수님의 십자가에서 죽으심은 천 년 전에 예언되었습니다. 시편 기자는 시편 22편에서 이에 대해 아름답게 묘사했습니다.(전체 내용을 읽어보십시오.)
선지자 스가랴도 스가랴 12:10에서 예수님의 죽음에 대해 예언했습니다. “… 그들이 그 찌른 바를 바라보고 그를 위하여 애통하기를…” 이 예언은 예수님이 십자가에 못 박히실 때 손과 발이 찔릴 것을 예고했습니다.

그러나 지옥에서 그분은 마귀와 어둠의 귀신들을 물리치시고 승리의 부활을 이루셨습니다. 요나의 경험은 예수님의 부활을 예표하기도 했습니다. 요나 1:17은 말합니다. “…요나는 삼 일 삼 야를 물고기 뱃속에 있으니라” 주 예수님은 마태복음 12:40에서 이를 언급하시며 다음과 같이 선포하셨습니다. “요나가 밤낮으로 사흘 동안 큰 물고기 뱃속에 있었던 것 같이 인자도 밤낮으로 사흘 동안 땅 속에 있으리라”

이 예언들과 그 성취는 예수님이 그분의 죽음과 부활에 대해 말씀하신 내용을 이해하는 데 필수적입니다. 그 예언들은 예수님이 참으로 하나님의 아들이시며 로마서 1:4이 말하는 대로 인간의 육신을 입고 오신 하나님이라는 진리를 입증합니다. 로마서 1:4은 예수님이 죽은 자 가운데서 부활하심으로 성결의 영으로 말미암아 능력으로 하나님의 아들로 선포되셨다고 말합니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!

기도
사랑하는 아버지, 나는 예수 그리스도의 죽음, 장사됨, 부활을 통해 나타난 부인할 수 없는 하나님의 사랑을 인정합니다. 예수님께서 우리를 위해 이루신 승리에 감사드리며, 그분 안에서 우리를 승리하게 하심에 감사드립니다. 나는 예수님의 완성된 사역의 실재 안에 살며, 땅 끝까지 그분의 주되심과 의를 선포합니다. 할렐루야!

HIS CRUCIFIXION AND RESURRECTION

“For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption” (Psalm 16:10).

Everything about the Lord Jesus was prophesied ahead of time: His birth, His life, His death, burial, resurrection, and His glorious ascension to heaven. No wonder He said, “… Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God” (Hebrews 10:7). His crucifixion, for example, was prophesied a thousand years beforehand. The psalmist gave such a beautiful description of it in Psalm 22 (read the entire reference).
The Prophet Zachariah also prophesied about His death in Zechariah 12:10, saying, “…and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him….” This prophecy foretold the piercing of Jesus’ hands and feet, which happened during His crucifixion.
Furthermore, Psalm 16:10 tells us about His resurrection, saying, “For thou wilt not leave my soul in hell; neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.” When Jesus died on the Cross, He went to hell because every sinner who died was supposed to go to hell, and Jesus bore the sins of the whole world.
However, in hell, He defeated the devil and the demons of darkness, and came triumphantly back to life. Jonah’s experience also foreshadowed His resurrection. Jonah 1:17 says, “… And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.” The Lord Jesus referenced this in Matthew 12:40, declaring, “For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth” (NIV).
Psalm 110:1 is prophetic of His exaltation; it says, “The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.” The Lord Jesus affirmed that this prophecy referred to Himself: “While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them, Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David. He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool? If David then call him Lord, how is he his son? (Matthew 22:41-45).
These prophecies and their fulfilment are essential to understanding the things Jesus said about His death and resurrection. They authenticate the truth that He’s indeed the Son of God—God in human flesh as Romans 1:4 tells us. It says Jesus is declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead. Blessed be God!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I acknowledge the undeniable proof of your love demonstrated through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Thank you for the victory He wrought for us, and for making us triumphant in Him. I live in the reality of His finished works, proclaiming His Lordship and righteousness to the ends of the earth. Hallelujah!

삼키는 자는 사탄 혹은 사탄이 당신의 자원과 재정을 소모하거나 없애버리기 위해 사용하는 모든 것입니다. 예를 들어, 피해, 수리, 손실 등으로 인해 높은 유지비가 드는 것입니다. 성경은 말합니다. “여호와께서 주시는 복은 사람을 부하게 하고 근심을 겸하여 주지 아니하시느니라”(잠 10:22)

GOD’S IDEA FOR YOUR PROSPERITY

“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work” (2 Corinthians 9:8).

When you align your life with God’s instructions, for example, in the area of finances, one of the immediate blessings you’re likely to observe is that your expenditure keeps getting lower. It’s another facet of God’s blessing. He doesn’t just bless you by increasing your income, He also blesses you by reducing your expenditure. Why is that so?
It’s part of the result of the grace of God at work in your life; recall what we read in our opening scripture. Furthermore, He also made provision to keep the devourer away from you: “I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts” (Malachi 3:10-11).
The devourer is Satan or whatever he uses to consume or eat away your resources and your finances. Examples are, damages, repairs and losses leading to high cost of maintenance. The Bible says, “The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it” (Proverbs 10:22).
God won’t bless you and then have you toil, struggle and spend so much to keep or maintain what He’s given you. His idea for your prosperity is addition or multiplication and abundance, not replacements. But you must act on His Word. He instructs you to bring your tithes, offerings and oblations, and challenges you to prove Him. He says, not only will you receive an abundance, but the devourer will have no access to what belongs to you. In other words, you won’t have a car that constantly needs repairs. You’ll suffer no damage or losses requiring costly fixes.
Consider yourself so blessed that everything that comes to you works perfectly, lasts long, and serves its purpose. Just as you’re God’s excellent handiwork, fashioned for good works, He has also ordained for your possessions to last, your resources to be preserved, and your finances to be supernaturally sustained. This is your reality in Christ. The key is speaking and doing His Word.

CONFESSION
The devourer has no place in my life, my finances, or my possessions, because I’m a doer of the Word. Therefore, I walk in supernatural prosperity, where my income increases and my expenditure is divinely reduced. I live in perpetual abundance, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

YOUR LIFE IS DIFFERENT

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

Many today have been conditioned to expect certain ailments or health challenges when they get to a certain age in life. They’ve been told that between ages 45 and 50 their bodies will begin to slow down, certain pains will set in, and at age 60, heart problems may arise. These conclusions have been drawn from mere human wisdom and experience, not divine truth.
As a child of God, your life is different; you’re not an ordinary person. You’re not subject to the limitations and corrupting influences of this world. Never accept the verdict from man’s limited knowledge stemming from the wisdom of this world with respect to your health. Your body is not subject to the elements of this world and the vagaries of nature. You’re in Christ and from Christ where divinity rules.
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” This means no inherited sickness or weakness, because you’re born of God, inundated with eternal life. Your identity is not in your earthly lineage.
It doesn’t matter what ran in your biological family—heart problems, diabetes, high blood pressure, etc.—those things have no hold on you! You’re a new creation in Christ, born into a new family—the family of God. If sickness tries to attach itself to your body, you say, “In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I rebuke this sickness. I remove it from my body!”
Your words have power; use them to establish your divine health. Take charge of your body. Speak in tongues and charge your spirit and then give the Word concerning your health. Your body will respond to the Word of God. You belong to the divine class, full of the life of God! Even now, say, “I refuse to be sick. I live above age-related or environment-related conditions. My blood pressure is normal, my heart is perfect, and all my organs function perfectly. I walk in divine health and strength all my days, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.”

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the reality of my divine nature in Christ. I refuse to accept the limitations, sicknesses, and conditions that the world prescribes. My body is full of life, health, and strength. No infirmity can thrive in me because the Spirit of God quickens my body. I live victoriously, walking in divine health and supernatural vitality, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

WORDS—YOUR MOST VALUABLE ASSET

“For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned” (Matthew 12:37).

Not realizing its value and power, many misuse words. They don’t speak correctly. Speaking correctly means speaking in consonance with the Word of God; saying what God has said. Hebrews 13:5-6 says, “…for he hath said…So that we may boldly say….” Words are “things”; they’re living; they’re powerful; they’re creative. Words shape destinies, define realities, and determine outcomes.
If you want to understand why your life is the way it is, review your words; listen to yourself. The words you speak determine your health, your appearance, and even your future. Your thoughts and words shape not just your life but even your physical appearance. That’s because words are thoughts clothed in vocabulary, and every person is a reflection of their thoughts.
Therefore, if words are an expression of thoughts, then your words reveal your character. No one can live beyond the character of their words; your words define you. Have you seen people who constantly look worried, even when they’re not frowning? Their faces carry the imprint of their thoughts and words. Their health, their emotions, and even their physical features are affected by what they’ve been saying and thinking. That’s because your words are the forces that mould your life.
When you speak words of faith, victory, power, success, and divine health, your life will align with those words. Proverbs 15:4 says, “A wholesome tongue is a tree of life….” Proverbs 18:21 declares, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” 1 Peter 3:10 takes it to a climax; it says, “For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile.” Speak the right words, for you’re what you say. What you say is what you get (Mark 11:23). Praise God!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the power of words and the ability to speak and shape my future in line with your perfect will. My words are filled with faith, strength, and divine wisdom, bringing health to my body, joy to my spirit, and success to my path. I walk in victory always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

HE KNOWS THE DETAILS

“Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered” (Romans 8:26 NKJV).

Life is full of decisions—some simple, others life-changing. At times, you may find yourself at a crossroads, unsure of what to do. There’s an opportunity open to you, and you’re wondering, should I take it? What’s the best step forward? The good news is this: the Holy Spirit knows the details! Consult with Him and He’ll give you the perfect guidance you need.
Ponder again Paul’s beautiful and inspired words in Romans 8:26 as quoted in the theme verse. The Holy Spirit, knowing all things, knowing the will of God and the mind of the Father, makes intercession for us—not from outside but from within. He prays in you and through you, helping you when you don’t know what to pray for or how to pray.
There’s so much you don’t know about situations, people, and even about your own future. But the Holy Spirit knows and understands the fine details; things about your life, the things beyond human perception, and He intercedes for you accordingly. Imagine having someone who knows exactly what you need and praying in your behalf with divine accuracy. That’s the ministry of the Holy Spirit!
But here’s the key: if you don’t pray in the Spirit, you won’t experience this divine help. You can’t just sit around, sighing and waiting for life to happen; crossing your legs, shifting in your seat, or even shedding tears; that won’t change anything! Someone might even pray, “Dear Father, my case is dire, please pity me.” The Lord has already pitied you—that’s why He sent Jesus and gave you the Holy Spirit!
Look at what the Bible says: “Once you were not a people [at all], but now you are God’s people; once you were unpitied, but now you are pitied and have received mercy” (1 Peter 2:10 AMPC). Did you see that? He’s done everything necessary for your success. The question is, will you take advantage of it now that you have the Intercessor within you?
When you pray in the Spirit, you align yourself with God’s perfect plan. Instead of confusion, you receive clarity. Instead of struggling in uncertainty, you walk in divine precision. Even now, take some time to pray in the Spirit; speak in tongues and stir up the Spirit within you. Glory to God!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the intercessory ministry of the Holy Spirit, who enables me to pray effectively and accurately. I am never helpless or confused because the Holy Spirit guides me in all things. I function with divine wisdom and supernatural ability, effecting changes in my life and circumstances. I walk in the fullness of your provision and live triumphantly every day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

“오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고 예루살렘과 온 유대와 사마리아와 땅 끝까지 이르러 내 증인이 되리라 하시니라” (행 1:8)

성령님이 당신에게 임하시는 것과 당신 안에 거하시는 것은 차이가 있습니다. 사도행전 2장에 나오는 오순절부터 성령님이 임하신 이유는 그들 안에 거처를 삼으시기 위함이었습니다. 그리고 이것이 우리에게 일어난 일입니다. 구약에서 성령님은 특정한 시기에 특정한 목적을 성취할 수 있도록 사람들에게 임하셨습니다.
엘리사벳을 포함한 여러 사람이 이 일을 경험했습니다. 성령님이 임하시자 그녀는 성령으로 충만해졌습니다. “엘리사벳이 마리아의 무난함을 들으매 아이가 복중에서 뛰노는지라 엘리사벳이 성령의 충만함을 받아”(눅 1:41) 성령님은 삼손에게도 임하셔서 그가 위대한 일을 할 수 있도록 힘을 주셨지만, 삼손은 성령으로 충만하지 않았습니다. “여호와의 영이 삼손에게 갑자기 임하시니 삼손이 손에 아무 것도 없이 그 사자를 염소 새끼를 찢음 같이 찢었으나…”(삿 14:6)
이제 성령을 받은 당신은 특별한 일들을 성취할 수 있는 능력을 받았습니다. 성경은 “오직 성령이 너희에게 임하시면 너희가 권능을 받고…”(행 1:8) 라고 선포합니다. 여기서 권능은 그리스어 “두나미스(dunamis)”에서 유래되었으며, 이는 변화를 일으키는 역동적인 능력을 의미합니다.
이 말의 중요성을 생각해 보십시오. 하나님은 당신이 변화를 일으킬 수 있는 능력을 받았다고 말씀하십니다. 그렇다면 왜 당신은 바람직하지 않은 상황에 머물면서 하나님께 개입해 달라고 울며 애원해야 합니까? 아닙니다! 당신은 그 상황을 바꿀 수 있습니다. 그러므로 앞으로 나아가 변화를 일으키십시오.
사도들은 성령을 받은 후 그분의 내주하시는 임재의 실재 안에 살았습니다. 그들 모두 초자연적인 일들을 행했습니다. 그분께서 당신에게 주신 생명도 동일합니다. 성령으로 충만해진 당신은 변화를 일으키고 날마다 초자연적인 일들을 행할 수 있는 신성한 능력을 받았습니다.

사랑하는 아버지, 나를 성령으로 충만케 하시고 내 세상에 변화를 일으키는 신성한 능력을 주시니 감사합니다. 나는 내 안에 거하시는 하나님의 임재를 의식하며 당신의 지혜, 능력, 영광을 나타냅니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

EQUIPPED AND ENDUED WITH DIVINE ABILITY

“But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

There’s a difference between the Holy Spirit coming upon you and the Holy Spirit dwelling in you. From the day of Pentecost in Acts chapter 2, the reason for the Holy Spirit coming upon anyone was to take up residence within them. And that’s what has happened with us. In the Old Testament, He came upon people to enable them to fulfil a specific purpose for a particular time.
Various individuals experienced this, including Elizabeth, upon whom the Holy Spirit came, and she was filled with the Holy Ghost: “And it came to pass, that when Elizabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost” (Luke 1:41). The Holy Spirit also came upon Samson, empowering him to accomplish mighty feats, but he was not filled with the Holy Ghost: “And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid; and he had nothing in his hand” (Judges 14:6).
Now, as one who has received the Holy Spirit, you have been endowed with power to accomplish extraordinary things. The Bible declares, “But ye shall receive power…” (Acts 1:8). The word power here is from the Greek “dunamis,” meaning the dynamic ability to cause changes.
Consider the significance of this: God says you have received the ability to effect changes. Why then should you remain in an undesirable situation, crying and pleading with God to intervene? No! You can change it. So, go ahead and effect a change.
After receiving the Holy Spirit, the apostles lived in the reality of His indwelling presence. Each one of them operated in the supernatural. That’s the same life He’s given you. Being filled with the Holy Spirit, you’ve been endued and equipped with divine ability to effect changes and walk in the supernatural every day.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for filling me with the Holy Spirit and empowering me with divine ability to effect changes in my world. I walk in the consciousness of your indwelling presence, manifesting your wisdom, power, and glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

그리스도인의 삶은 단순히 예배를 드리거나 성경을 소설처럼 배우는 것이 아닙니다. 그리스도인의 삶은 하루 24시간, 주 7일 살아가는 우리에게 주어진 삶입니다. 신성한 생명입니다. 하나님의 생명과 본성이 사람의 영에 부어졌습니다.
많은 사람들이 기독교가 무엇인지, 그리스도인이 진정 누구인지에 대한 하나님의 말씀에 있는 근본적인 진리를 접하지 못한 채 살아갑니다. 그들이 성경을 공부하지 않기 때문입니다. 그러나 예수님은 우리에게 성경을 연구하라고 명령하셨습니다.
우리에게 발견할 귀중한 보물이 없었다면 하나님은 우리에게 성경을 공부하고 찾으라고 지시하지 않으셨을 것입니다. 또한 바울은 우리에게 말씀을 읽기만 하지 말고 공부하라고 권면했습니다. 공부하지 않으면 접근할 수 없는 깊은 계시가 있기 때문입니다. 성경을 공부하다 보면 그리스도인으로서 우리가 하나님과 실제적이고 살아있는 관계를 맺고 있음을 발견하게 될 것입니다. 그것은 종교가 아닙니다!
기도, 헌금, 성경 공부, 교제 모임 등 모든 외적인 행동이 기독교를 정의하지 않습니다. 참된 기독교는 하나님과의 실제 관계이며, 그분으로부터 태어나 그분의 신성한 본성을 받는 것입니다. 이는 특정 시점에 발생하는 확실한 경험입니다.
사람은 거듭남이 언제 일어났는지 불확실할 수 없습니다. 이는 살아 계신 하나님과의 의식적이고 변혁적인 만남이기 때문입니다. 이 만남이 없다면 모든 외적인 행동은 공허합니다. 그러나 당신이 주님과 이 중요한 관계 안에 있을 때, 모든 경배와 헌신은 엄청난 능력을 발휘하고 영원한 의미를 갖습니다.

CHRISTIANITY: A DIVINE RELATIONSHIP

“Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me” (John 5:39).

The Christian life is not merely about worshipping or learning the Bible as a storybook. It is a life given to us to live, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week; it’s a divine life. It is the very life and nature of God imparted into the human spirit.
Many go through life without ever encountering the fundamental truths in the Word of God of what Christianity is and who the Christian really is. That’s because they don’t study their Bibles. Yet, Jesus commanded us to search the Scriptures.
He wouldn’t have instructed us to study and search the scriptures if there weren’t valuable treasures for us to discover. Paul also exhorted us to study, not just read, the Word, for there’re depths of revelation that can’t be accessed without study. In studying the Scriptures you’d discover that as Christians, we have a real and living relationship with God. That’s no religion!
All our outward actions, such as praying, giving offerings, studying the Bible, and gathering in fellowships are not what define Christianity. True Christianity is the actual relationship with God, where one is born of Him, receiving His divine nature. This is a definite experience that occurs at a particular moment in time.
One cannot be uncertain about when it happened, for it’s a conscious and transformative encounter with the living God, without which all the outward actions are empty. But when you’re in this vital relationship with the Lord, each act of worship and devotion releases tremendous power and holds eternal significance.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for bringing me into an actual, real, tangible, and living relationship with you. I am born of you, filled with your Spirit, and I walk daily in the reality of my oneness with you, conscious of my divine nature, and manifesting your love, wisdom, and power to my world. Thank you for the privilege of knowing and living in this truth, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
