구별된 생명을 가진 새로운 종류의 사람들
A New Class Of Men With A Distinct Life
“또 증거는 이것이니 하나님이 우리에게 영생을 주신 것과 이 생명이 그의 아들 안에 있는 그것이니라”(요일 5:11)
고린도후서 5장 17절은 말합니다. “그런즉 누구든지 그리스도 안에 있으면 새로운 피조물이라 이전 것은 지나갔으니 보라 새 것이 되었도다” 당신은 그리스도 안에서 부활 생명을 가진 새로운 사람입니다. “그러므로 우리가 그의 죽으심과 합하여 침례를 받음으로 그와 함께 장사되었나니 이는 아버지의 영광으로 말미암아 그리스도를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리심과 같이 우리로 또한 새 생명 가운데서 행하게 하려 함이라”(롬 6:4)
우리는 새로운 종류의 사람, 새로운 종입니다. 이것이 그리스도 안에 있는 우리의 생명에 대해 당신이 이해해야 할 것입니다. 우리가 가진 생명은 하나님으로부터 온 것이지 사람에게서 온 것이 아닙니다. 사도 요한은 신중하게 그가 사용할 단어를 선택했습니다. 그는 “생명이 그의 아들 안에 있다”고 말하지 않았습니다. 오히려 “이 생명이 그의 아들 안에 있는 그것이니라”라고 말했습니다. 그는 특정한 생명, 바로 하나님의 생명 그 자체에 대해 말했습니다.
요한일서 1장 2절에서 사도 요한은 영생을 “이는 아버지와 함께 계시다가 우리에게 나타내신 바 된 이시니라”라고 말합니다. 이 생명은 다른 모든 생명과 다릅니다. 이것이 우리를 신성하게 만드는 생명입니다. 이것이 우리를 신들로 만드는 생명입니다. “내가 말하기를 너희는 신들이며 다 지존자의 아들들이라 하였으나”(시 82:6) 성경은 주께서 그러하심과 같이 우리도 이 세상에서 그러하다고 말합니다(요일 4:17).
사도행전의 천사조차도 그리스도 안에 있는 우리의 생명의 특별함과 분류학적 차이를 이해했습니다. 천사는 사도들에게 “가서 성전에 서서 이 생명의 말씀을 다 백성에게 말하라”(행 5:20)라고 말했습니다. 이 생명은 구별되고, 신성하며, 우월합니다. 당신이 거듭났을 때 받은 그 생명입니다.
거듭난다는 것은 교회에 등록하는 것이 아닙니다. 거듭난다는 것은 영생, 즉 하나님의 생명과 본성을 받는 것입니다. 거듭난다는 것은 하나님이 당신의 아버지가 되셨다는 뜻입니다. 거듭난다는 것은 당신이 새로운 존재의 질서 안으로 들어왔다는 뜻입니다. 바울은 이를 다음과 같이 표현했습니다. “내가 그리스도와 함께 십자가에 못 박혔나니 그런즉 이제는 내가 사는 것이 아니요 오직 내 안에 그리스도께서 사시는 것이라…”(갈 2:20) 이어서 말합니다. “…이제 내가 육체 가운데 사는 것은 나를 사랑하사 나를 위하여 자기 자신을 버리신 하나님의 아들을 믿는 믿음 안에서 사는 것이라…” 이것이 그리스도 안에 있는 새로운 사람의 구별되고 신성한 생명입니다.

사랑하는 아버지, 내 안에 있는 하나님의 신성한 생명에 감사드립니다. 나는 내가 새로운 종류의 사람이며, 하나님의 영으로 태어나고 하나님의 영광으로 충만하다는 것을 인식합니다. 나는 의 안에서 행하고 하나님의 영으로 살아가며, 하나님의 신성한 본성을 나타내고, 나의 세상에 그리스도를 나타냅니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

A NEW CLASS OF MEN WITH A DISTINCT LIFE
“And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son” (1 John 5:11).
2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” You’re a new man in Christ, with the resurrection life: “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4).
We’re a new class of men, a new species. This is what you must understand about our life in Christ. The life we have is from God and not from man. The Apostle John was deliberate with his language. He didn’t say, “Life is in His Son”; rather, he said, “This life is in his Son.” He’s talking about a specific life, the very life of God.
In 1 John 1:2, he calls it “…that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us.” This life is different from all others. It’s what makes us divine. It’s what makes us gods: “I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High” (Psalms 82:6). The Bible says as He is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).
Even the angel in the Book of Acts understood the peculiarity and taxonomic difference of our life in Christ when he said to the apostles in Acts 5:20, “Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life” (Acts 5:20). This life is distinct, divine and superior. That’s what you received when you were born again.
Being born again is not about joining a church; it’s about receiving eternal life—the life and nature of God. It means God is your Father. It means you’ve been brought into a new order of existence. Paul captures it this way: “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me…” (Galatians 2:20). The concluding portion says, “…the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God….” This is the distinct, divine life of the new man in Christ.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for your divine life in me. I’m conscious that I’m a new kind of man, born of your Spirit and filled with your glory. I walk in righteousness and live by your Spirit; I express your divine nature, revealing Christ to my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
