Don’t Delay To Apply God’s Word
“… 마귀를 대적하라 그리하면 너희를 피하리라”(약 4:7)
안타깝게도 어떤 그리스도인들은 무관심하거나 영적 훈련이 부족하여 자신의 삶에 관한 하나님의 말씀을 고백하는 것을 소홀히 하며, 나중에 언제든지 할 수 있다고 생각합니다. 그러나 영적인 일은 그렇게 되지 않습니다.
대적에게 하나님의 말씀을 적용하는 것을 지체하면 그의 활동이 지속될 여지를 만들게 됩니다. 그것을 허용하지 마십시오. 즉각적이고 단호하게 대적을 다루며 그에게 어떤 자리도 내어주지 마십시오. 성경은 분명히 말씀합니다. “마귀에게 틈을 주지 말라”(엡 4:27)
오늘의 본문 구절의 교훈도 마찬가지로 분명합니다. “마귀를 대적하라 그리하면 너희를 피하리라” 이 대적함은 나중을 위한 것이 아닙니다. 마귀가 당신의 몸을 괴롭히거나 당신의 상황을 방해하려는 바로 그 순간을 위한 것입니다. 미루지 마십시오. 말씀으로 즉시 맞서십시오. 지체하는 것은 자리를 내주는 것이지만, 말씀대로 행하는 것은 당신의 통치권을 행사하는 것입니다.
말씀을 선포하고 성경이 가르치는 대로 당신의 믿음을 행사하십시오. “모든 것 위에 믿음의 방패를 가지고 이로써 능히 악한 자의 모든 불화살을 소멸하고… 성령의 검 곧 하나님의 말씀을 가지라”(엡 6:16-17)
하나님께서 당신에 대해 말씀하신 것과 반대되는 어떤 것도 받아들이기를 거부하십시오. 이것이 믿음의 삶입니다. 즉각 말씀으로 반응하고 당신이 받은 진리에 행동을 일치시키십시오.
사탄은 패배한 적이라는 것을 항상 기억하십시오. 당신은 사탄보다 우월합니다. 당신은 이미 사탄과 그의 모든 귀신들을 이겼습니다. 사탄을 그들이 있어야 할 곳, 즉 당신의 발 아래에 두십시오. 할렐루야!

DON’T DELAY TO APPLY GOD’S WORD
“…Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).
It’s unfortunate that, out of indifference or lack of spiritual discipline, some Christians neglect to confess God’s Word concerning their lives, assuming they can always do so later. But spiritual things don’t work that way.
When you delay to apply God’s Word against the adversary you create room for his operations to persist. Don’t allow it. Deal with him promptly and decisively, giving him no place. The Scripture is clear: “Neither give place to the devil” (Ephesians 4:27).
The instruction in our opening verse is equally clear: “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” That resistance is not for a later time; it is for the very moment he attempts to afflict your body or interfere with your circumstances. You don’t postpone it; you confront it immediately with the Word. To delay is to yield ground, but to act on the Word is to enforce your dominion.
Speak the Word and exercise your faith as the Scripture instructs: “Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked…and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (Ephesians 6:16–17).
Refuse to accommodate anything contrary to what God has said about you. This is the life of faith. You respond with the Word at once and align your actions with the truth you have received.
Always remember that Satan is a defeated foe; you’re superior to him. You’ve already overcome him and all his demons. Keep them where they belong—under your feet. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the power of your Word in my life. I respond immediately to every situation with your Word, enforcing my dominion and walking in the reality of all that you’ve made available to me in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
