교회는 전진하는 힘입니다
The Church Is The Advancing Force
“또 내가 네게 이르노니 너는 베드로라 내가 이 반석 위에 내 교회를 세우리니 음부의 권세가 이기지 못하리라”(마 16:18)
많은 사람이 음부의 권세에 대한 주 예수님의 말씀을 교회가 어둠의 세력으로부터 끊임없이 공격을 받고 있는 것처럼 해석합니다. 그러나 그것은 주님께서 보여주신 그림이 아닙니다. 성문은 권세와 다스림을 나타냅니다. 고대 사회에서 성문은 중요한 결정이 내려지고 권세가 행사되는 곳이었습니다.
그러므로 “음부의 권세”는 어둠의 왕국의 권세를 의미합니다. 주님께서 “내가 내 교회를 세우리니 음부의 권세가 이기지 못하리라”고 말씀하셨을 때, 그분은 교회를 어둠의 공격이나 맹공을 견디며 살아남으려는 희생자로 묘사하신 것이 아닙니다. 오히려 교회가 전진하는 힘이라는 것을 보여주십니다.
예수님께서 그 말씀을 하셨을 때 어둠의 왕국은 이미 존재하고 있었습니다. 교회는 이 땅에 새롭게 도입되는 존재였습니다. 그러므로 이 그림은 지옥이 교회를 공격하는 것이 아니라, 교회가 어둠의 권세에 맞서 전진하는 것입니다. 그들은 교회를 당해낼 수 없으며 우리의 전진을 막을 수 없습니다.
우리는 그리스도의 권세로 전진하며, 어둠이 있는 곳에 빛을 가져오고 이 땅에 하나님의 뜻을 세웁니다. 복음을 통해 하나님 나라의 영향력이 확장되며, 어둠의 권세를 물러가게 합니다.
말씀이 전파될 때마다 삶이 변화되고, 하나님의 능력이 나타나며, 주님께서 구원받을 사람들을 교회에 더하십니다. 할렐루야! 당신이 승리하며 전진하는 예수 그리스도의 교회, 오늘날 악을 막는 힘의 일부임을 기뻐하십시오.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 나를 하나님의 승리하는 교회의 일원으로 삼아 주시니 감사합니다. 나는 그리스도의 권세 안에서 행하며 모든 곳에서 하나님의 왕국의 영향력을 확장합니다. 어둠의 권세는 나를 통해 역사하는 복음의 빛을 당해낼 수 없습니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THE CHURCH IS THE ADVANCING FORCE
“And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it” (Matthew 16:18).
Many people interpret the Lord Jesus’ statement about the gates of hell as though the Church were under constant attack from the powers of darkness. But that’s not the picture the Lord gave. Gates represent authority and control. In ancient times, the gate of a city was the place where decisions were made and authority was exercised.
So, the “gates of hell” refers to the authority of the kingdom of darkness. When the Master said: “I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it,” He wasn’t portraying the Church as a victim trying to survive the attacks or onslaughts of darkness. Rather, it reveals the Church as an advancing force.
The kingdom of darkness already existed when Jesus spoke those words. The Church was the new entity being introduced into the earth. Therefore, the picture is not of hell attacking the Church; rather, it’s the Church advancing against the authority of darkness. They can’t withstand the Church or hold out against our advancement.
We’re advancing with the authority of Christ, bringing light where there’s darkness and establishing God’s will on the earth. Through the Gospel, the influence of the Kingdom of God expands, pushing back the authority of darkness.
Every time the Word is preached, lives are transformed, the power of God is manifested, and the Lord adds to the Church such as should be saved. Hallelujah! Rejoice that you’re a part of the triumphant and advancing Church of Jesus Christ, the restraining force against evil in our day.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for making me a part of your victorious Church. I walk in the authority of Christ and advance the influence of your Kingdom everywhere. The powers of darkness cannot withstand the light of the Gospel working through me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
