Don’t Lose The Moment
“내가 금식하며 베옷을 입고 재를 덮어쓰고 주 하나님께 기도하며 간구하기를 결심하고”(단 9:3)
당신의 영 깊은 곳에서 무언가가 바뀌어야 한다고 느끼는 순간이 있습니다. 그것은 당신의 가정, 재정, 일, 또는 하나님과의 동행에 관한 것일 수도 있습니다. 새로운 단계가 시작될 때가 되었다는 것을 당신 안에서 분명히 알지만, 외적인 환경은 그것을 반영하지 않는 것처럼 보입니다. 그러한 순간을 무시하지 마십시오.
하나님의 영은 당신의 심령을 움직여 신성한 타이밍을 인식하게 하실 수 있습니다. 만약 그 감동에 반응하지 않는다면, 하나님과의 동행에서 다음 단계 혹은 더 높은 차원으로 나아갈 기회를 놓칠 수 있습니다. 다니엘은 그러한 영적 타이밍을 인식했을 때 어떻게 반응해야 하는 지에 대한 놀라운 본을 보여줍니다.
예레미야의 글을 연구하던 중, 다니엘은 이스라엘의 70년 포로 생활이 끝나가고 있음을 발견했지만, 구원의 눈에 보이는 징조는 없었습니다. 다니엘은 말씀을 통해 알게 된 것을 무시하지 않고 주님을 찾기로 결단했습니다. 그는 기도하고 금식하며 당면한 문제에 진지하게 집중했습니다.
3주 동안 그는 천사가 하늘로부터의 메시지를 가지고 나타날 때까지 계속 기도했습니다. 천사는 그가 기도하기 시작한 첫날부터 그의 기도가 응답되었다고 말했습니다. 다니엘은 자신의 영 안에서 알고 있는 것을 포기하지 않았고, 하늘의 응답이 나타날 때까지 계속 기도했습니다.
이것은 중요한 교훈을 가르쳐 줍니다. 때로는 하나님의 영이 당신의 영을 움직여 변화의 때가 왔음을 알게 하십니다. 그런 일이 일어나면, 그 순간을 붙잡으십시오. 기도하고 금식하십시오. 상황이 즉시 바뀌지 않는 것처럼 보이더라도, 꾸준히 기도를 계속하십시오.
그러한 때에 기도의 끈기는 중요합니다. 성경은 말합니다. “의인의 간절한(진심 어린, 지속적인) 기도는 막강한 능력을 발휘한다[역동적으로 역사한다]”(약 5:16, 확대 번역본) 당신이 영적인 때를 인식하고 기도로 반응할 때, 당신은 하나님의 뜻과 목적의 성취에 참여할 수 있는 위치에 서게 됩니다.
다니엘의 기도는 예언적 사건의 전개와 연결되어 있었습니다. 그가 받은 메시지는 페르시아 제국이 무너지고 다른 왕국으로 대체될 것을 보여주었습니다. 하나님의 때를 인식하고 하나님의 말씀에 맞추어 기도하는 순간을 붙잡은 한 사람으로부터 시작된 일이 하나님의 백성을 향한 하나님의 영원한 계획의 일부가 되었습니다.

사랑하는 아버지, 내 삶의 때와 시기를 분별하도록 도와주시는 성령님의 인도에 감사드립니다. 나는 믿음과 순종으로 하나님의 말씀에 반응하며, 내 삶과 열방에서 하나님의 뜻이 이루어지는 것을 보기 위해 말씀에 따라 기도하는 삶에 나를 맞춥니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

DON’T LOSE THE MOMENT
“And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting…” (Daniel 9:3).
There’re moments when, deep within your spirit, you sense that something ought to change. It may concern your family, your finances, your work, or even your walk with God. You simply know within that the time has come for a new phase, yet the outward circumstances don’t seem to reflect it. Don’t ignore such moments.
The Spirit of God can stir your heart to recognize divine timing. If you fail to respond to that prompting, you may lose the opportunity to step into the next phase or higher level of your walk with God. Daniel gives us a remarkable example of how to respond when you recognize such spiritual timing.
While studying the writings of Jeremiah, he discovered that the seventy years of Israel’s captivity were coming to an end, yet there were no visible signs of deliverance. Instead of ignoring what he knew from the Word, Daniel set his heart to seek the Lord. He prayed and fasted, giving earnest attention to the matter at hand.
For three weeks he continued in prayer until an angel appeared to him with a message from heaven. The angel told him that from the first day he began to pray, his prayers were answered. Daniel refused to abandon what he knew in his spirit and continued to pray until heaven’s response manifested.
This teaches an important lesson: sometimes the Spirit of God stirs your spirit to know that it’s time for a change; when that happens, seize the moment. Pray and fast. If the situation doesn’t seem to have changed immediately, continue steadfastly in prayer.
Persistence in prayer at such times is important for the Bible says, “…The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working] (James 5:16 AMPC). When you recognize spiritual timing and respond with prayer, you position yourself to participate in the fulfillment of God’s will and purpose.
Daniel’s prayers were connected to the unfolding of prophetic events. The message he received revealed that the Persian Empire would fall and be replaced by another kingdom. What began with a man recognizing God’s timing and seizing the moment to pray in alignment with God’s Word became part of the unfolding of God’s eternal plan for His people.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the guidance of your Spirit who helps me recognize the times and seasons of my life. I respond with faith and obedience to your Word, aligning myself to pray in accordance to your Word to see your will fulfilled in my life and in the nations, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
