Separated By The Spirit

“그가 또한 우리에게 인치시고 보증으로 우리 마음에 성령을 주셨느니라” (고후 1:22)

고린도전서 6장 11절은 새로운 피조물에 대한 특별한 사실을 알려줍니다. “너희 중에 이와 같은 자들이 있더니 주 예수 그리스도의 이름과 우리 하나님의 성령 안에서 씻음과 거룩함과 의롭다 하심을 받았느니라” 저는 당신이 밑줄 친 “거룩함”이라는 단어에 주목하기 바랍니다. 이 단어는 당신이 성령으로 말미암아 분리되거나 구별되었다는 뜻입니다.
당신은 약속의 성령으로 인치심을 받았습니다. 그 인침은 당신을 하나님의 소유로 확인하는 영적인 표시입니다. 영적인 영역에서 당신은 신성한 서명을 가지고 있습니다. 이 성령님은 또한 우리의 유업의 보증금(계약금 또는 예치금)으로 묘사됩니다.
이는 하나님께서 그리스도 안에서 약속하신 모든 것이 이미 당신의 것임을 증명으로, 당신에게 성령님을 주셨다는 뜻입니다. 하나님께서 그분의 영을 주셨다면, 그 밖의 모든 것에 대한 접근도 이미 주신 것입니다. 당신의 삶에 있는 성령님의 임재는 하나님께서 “너는 내 것이다. 너는 구별되었다. 너는 하늘에서 인정받는다.”고 말씀하시는 것입니다. 천사들은 그 표식을 봅니다. 마귀들도 그 표식을 압니다. 할렐루야!
고린도후서 1장 21-22절은 말합니다. “우리를 너희와 함께 그리스도 안에서 굳건하게 하시고 우리에게 기름을 부으신 이는 하나님이시니 그가 또한 우리에게 인치시고 보증으로 우리 마음에 성령을 주셨느니라” 이 구별은 고립을 의미하는 것이 아니라, 분리를 통한 구별을 뜻합니다. 당신이 하나님의 인정, 그분의 권세, 그분의 보호를 받았다는 의미입니다.
당신은 죄, 두려움, 질병, 가난으로부터 구별되어 의, 평안, 다스림의 새로운 생명으로 옮겨졌습니다. 당신은 세상과 같지 않습니다. 당신은 그리스도 안에 있고, 그리스도는 당신 안에 계십니다. 당신 안에 있는 그분의 임재는 이 세상에서 당신의 승리를 보장하며, 당신의 영원한 영광을 보장합니다. “하나님이 그들로 하여금 이 비밀의 영광이 이방인 가운데 얼마나 풍성한지를 알게 하려 하심이라 이 비밀은 너희 안에 계신 그리스도시니 곧 영광의 소망이니라”(골 1:27) 할렐루야! 이 진리를 의식하며 사십시오.

SEPARATED BY THE SPIRIT

“…Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts” (2 Corinthians 1:22).

1 Corinthians 6:11 reveals something extraordinary about the new creation; it says, “And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.” I want you to notice the underlined word “sanctified”: it means you’ve been separated or set apart by the Spirit.
You’ve been sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. That seal is a spiritual mark that identifies you as God’s own possession. In the realm of the spirit, you carry a divine signature. This Holy Spirit is also described as the earnest (the down payment or deposit) of our inheritance.
That means God has given you the Holy Spirit as proof that everything He promised in Christ is already yours. If He gave you His Spirit, He has given you access to everything else. The presence of the Holy Spirit in your life is God saying, “You’re mine. You’re distinguished. You’re recognized in the heavens.” Angels see that mark. Demons recognize it. Hallelujah!
2 Corinthians 1:21-22 says, “Now he which stablisheth us with you in Christ, and hath anointed us, is God; Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.” This separation is not one of isolation but of distinction. It means you have God’s approval, His authority, and His protection.
You’re set apart from sin, fear, sickness and poverty into a new life of righteousness, peace, and dominion. You’re not like the world. You’re in Christ, and Christ is in you. His presence in you is your assurance of victory in this world and your guarantee of eternal glory: “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27) Hallelujah! Live in the consciousness of this truth.

CONFESSION
I am sealed and separated by the Holy Spirit from sin, danger and death unto righteousness, peace, prosperity, victory, glory and immortality. I live in the consciousness of His presence, guidance, and power. I’m distinguished for greatness and walk in the fullness of my inheritance, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

“너희 염려를 다 주께 맡기라 이는 그가 너희를 돌보심이라” (벧전 5:7)

하나님의 말씀은 우리에게 삶에 대한 분명한 지침을 줍니다. 예를 들어, 베드로전서 5장 6-7절은 말합니다. “그러므로 하나님의 능하신 손 아래에서 겸손하라 때가 되면 너희를 높이시리라 너희 염려를 다 주께 맡기라 이는 그가 너희를 돌보심이라” 얼마나 놀라운 진리입니까! 하나님은 당신이 이 세상의 염려로 짐을 지는 것을 원하지 않으십니다. 그분은 당신의 모든 걱정, 불안, 근심을 그분께 맡기라고 말씀하십니다.

LIVING BEYOND ANXIETY

“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you” (1 Peter 5:7).

The Word of God gives us clear instructions for living. For example, 1 Peter 5:6–7 says, “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” What a truth this is! God doesn’t want you burdened with the cares of this life. He tells you to cast every one of them on Him: your worries, anxieties, and concerns.
The Amplified Classic makes this even clearer. It says, “Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.” Act on the Word; refuse to worry about your children, your family, your job, your finances, or your future.
There’re people who, if they’re not anxious, they think something is wrong. They’ve made worry a lifestyle and even bear worry wrinkles as proof. But that’s not God’s plan. The life He’s given you is a tranquil life, established in peace and anchored in prosperity. He cares for you affectionately and watches over you diligently. He’s not watching you to judge or condemn you, but to do you good.
The Bible says He rejoices over you with singing (Zephaniah 3:17). He daily loads you with benefits (Psalm 68:19). It should help you understand why He said, “…Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them (Matthew 6:25-26).
Live free from anxiety, and enjoy the peace and rest that comes from knowing, serving, and trusting the Lord.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for your unfailing love and care for me. I refuse to worry about anything, for in you I have everything. I live in joy and rest, knowing that you watch over me affectionately, loading me daily with blessings and benefits. My life is full of peace, progress, and victory always, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THERE’S GLORY IN YOU

“Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him” (Isaiah 43:7).

Did you know that you’re in this earth to manifest the glory of God? You’re the first and the best of you to come into this world. You’re God’s best. He’s never had anybody like you, and He will never have another like you. That’s how special you are. So, refuse to fail. It wasn’t a mistake or an accident that you came from the family you came from. There’s glory in your life.
Inside you is something big, big enough to change the world. The Bible says, “…we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.” You may not have money for clothes right now, or even enough to pay your rent. You may be living in a little room with hardly anything to your name. But it makes no difference; all things are yours (1 Corinthians 1:21).
God has already blessed you with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus (Ephesians 1:3). Heaven is in your heart. Eternity is in your heart: “He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart” (Ecclesiastes 3:11). Look inwards and let the Word of God build you from within.
You carry something precious. A land that contains gold requires a miner to help uncover it. That’s what the Word of God does for you. It reveals who you are, shows what’s inside you, and empowers you to live to your fullest potential in Christ. You’re the glory of God, so arise and shine.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for creating me for your glory. I am unique, chosen, and set apart for your divine purpose. Your Word brings out the treasures within me, and by your Spirit, I manifest excellence, beauty, and power everywhere I go. I refuse to fail; I shine ever brightly for your glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

말씀은 씨앗입니다
The Word Is Seed

“너희가 거듭난 것은 썩어질 씨로 된 것이 아니요 썩지 아니할 씨로 된 것이니 살아 있고 항상 있는 하나님의 말씀으로 되었느니라” (벧전 1:23)

주 예수님이 동정녀에게서 태어나셨다고 성경이 말한 것을 기억하십시오. 인간적으로는 불가능하지만, 이는 첫째로 그분의 신성을 증명하고, 둘째로 하나님의 말씀이 씨앗임을 증명합니다. 인간적으로는 인간의 정자 없이 아이를 잉태할 수 없습니다. 인간의 생명은 거기서부터 시작됩니다. 그러나 하나님은 놀라운 사실을 증명하셨습니다. 그분이 하신 말씀이 씨앗이 되어 예수님이 되셨습니다(요 1:14).

하나님께서 마리아에게 말씀하셨을 때, 마리아는 그 말씀을 받아들였고 그 말씀은 육신이 되어 예수 그리스도가 되었습니다. 이제 복음을 통해 동일한 기적이 우리 안에서 일어납니다. 당신이 말씀을 듣고 믿을 때, 당신은 하나님의 말씀의 씨앗을 영 안에 받아들이고, 그 씨앗은 말씀에 담긴 내용을 당신 안에서 생산합니다. 그 씨앗은 당신 안에 하나님의 생명을 만들어냅니다.
성경이 “주께서 그러하심과 같이 우리도 이 세상에서 그러하니라”(요일 4:17)고 말한 것은 당연합니다. 예수님 안에 있던 동일한 생명이 우리에게 주어졌습니다. 우리가 동일한 말씀(씨)으로 태어났기 때문입니다. “그가 그 피조물 중에 우리로 한 첫 열매가 되게 하시려고 자기의 뜻을 따라 진리의 말씀으로 우리를 낳으셨느니라”(약 1:18) 또한 베드로전서 1장 23절은 말합니다. “너희가 거듭난 것은 썩어질 씨로 된 것이 아니요 썩지 아니할 씨로 된 것이니 살아 있고 항상 있는 하나님의 말씀으로 되었느니라”
우리는 예수님을 낳은 그 동일한 씨, 곧 말씀의 씨에서 난 자입니다. 우리는 그분의 신성한 본성을 운반하고, 그분의 영광을 나누고, 그분의 의를 지닌 자입니다. 실패는 당신의 삶의 일부가 아닙니다. 당신은 생명을 주는 자입니다. 당신은 생명인 하나님의 말씀으로 태어났기 때문입니다. 따라서 당신의 말은 영이며 생명입니다. 오늘 당신의 건강, 재정, 사역 또는 가족에 대해 바라는 것이 무엇입니까? 생명을 말하십시오. 말씀을 말하십시오. 그러면 말씀은 말씀이 말한 대로 생산할 것입니다. 할렐루야!

기도

THE WORD IS SEED

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever” (1 Peter 1:23).

Recall that the Bible says the Lord Jesus was born of a virgin. That’s humanly impossible but it proved, first, His divinity, and then that the Word of God is seed. Humanly speaking, a child cannot be conceived without the agency of a human sperm; that’s where the human life comes from. But God proved something remarkable: the Word He spoke became seed—the Lord Jesus. John 1:14, “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
In Luke 8:11, the Bible tells us that the Word of God is seed: “Now the parable is this: The seed is the word of God.” The Greek word for seed is “sperma,” from which the English word sperm is derived. The Word of God is therefore the life-giving force or faculty, the divine material that carries the life of God.
When God spoke His Word to Mary, she received that Word and it became flesh—Jesus Christ. Now, through the Gospel, that same miracle takes place in us. When you hear the Word and believe it, you receive the seed of God’s Word into your spirit, and that seed produces in you what it talks about. It produces the life of God in you.
No wonder the Bible says, “As he is, so are we in this world” (1 John 4:17). The same life that was in Jesus has been imparted to us because we’re born of the same Word (seed): “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures” (James 1:18). 1 Peter 1:23 says, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”
We’re offsprings of the Word, of the same seed that brought forth Jesus. We’re carriers of His divine nature, sharers of His glory and bearers of His righteousness. Failure is not part of your life. You’re a life-giver because you’re born of the Word of God, which is life. Therefore, your words are spirit and they are life. What is it you desire today in your health, finances, ministry, or family? Speak life. Speak the Word, and it will produce what it talks about. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you that I am born of your incorruptible Word. Your life is at work in me, producing excellence, victory, and glory. I speak words of life, and I see the Word manifest in every area of my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

주 예수님께서는 “목숨을 위하여 무엇을 먹을까 무엇을 마실까 몸을 위하여 무엇을 입을까 염려하지 말라”(마 6:25)고 말씀하셨습니다. 왜 예수님은 당신이 자신의 삶에 대해 생각하거나 걱정하기를 원하지 않으십니까? 그분께서 이미 당신의 삶에 관한 모든 것을 정리하고 해결하셨기 때문입니다. 예수님은 “공중의 새를 보라 심지도 않고 거두지도 않고 창고에 모아들이지도 아니하되 너희 하늘 아버지께서 기르시나니 너희는 이것들보다 귀하지 아니하냐”(마 6:26)고 말씀하셨습니다.
당신은 하나님의 보물이며, 가장 귀중하고 소중한 소유물입니다. 성경은 하나님께서 당신이 구하기 전에 이미 당신의 마음에 무엇이 있는지 아신다고 말합니다(마 6:8). 하나님은 당신에게 그분의 생명, 이름, 본성, 왕국을 주셨습니다. 그분은 당신에게 모든 것을 주셨습니다(고전 3:21, 벧후 1:3).
이제 하나님은 당신에게 모든 것을 주셨고, 당신이 구하거나 생각할 수 있는 것보다 넘치도록 더 행하셨습니다. 그리고 간단한 지시를 주셨습니다. “먼저 그의 나라와 그의 의를 구하라”(마 6:33) 당신이 오직 하나님의 왕국만을 구할 때, 그분께서 이미 당신을 위해 행하신 모든 일과 당신이 갈망할 수 있는 모든 것이 나타날 것입니다. 이것이 성령의 방식입니다.

SEEK ONLY THE KINGDOM

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33).

The Lord Jesus said, “Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink.” (Matthew 6:25). Why doesn’t He want you to think or worry about your life? It’s because He already sorted and settled everything about your life. He said, “Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?” (Matthew 6:26).
You’re God’s treasure, His most valuable and cherished possession. The Bible says He already knows what’s in your heart before you ask Him (Matthew 6:8). He’s given you His life, His Name, His nature and His Kingdom. He’s given you all things (1 Corinthians 3:21, 2 Peter 1:3).
Now, having given you all things, and done exceeding, abundantly more than you can ask or think, He gave a simple instruction: “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness….” The key is for you to seek only the Kingdom and then everything else He’s already done for you, or that you could ever desire, will manifest. That’s the way of the Spirit.
Refuse to chase after material possessions, thinking life is about what you own. The Lord Jesus said, “…Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth” (Luke 12:15). What are your pursuits in life? What gets your attention? You already have everything in Christ Jesus, therefore focus on expanding the Kingdom of God. Focus on the Gospel and the spread of righteousness in the nations.
Houses, lands, influence, wealth, etc., they’re already yours. Don’t run after them; set your gaze on God’s Kingdom only. Make the promotion of His righteousness your passion, your life’s pursuit. As you do, all the things others are desperately chasing will come to you without struggle. That’s the life of faith; that’s the life of the Spirit.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for making me an heir of the Kingdom. Christ is my all, and in Him, I have all things. I refuse to be anxious over material possessions, for I live in your Word and by your Spirit. My only pursuit is the expansion of your Kingdom and promotion of your righteousness to all nations, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

느헤미야 시대에 백성들이 예루살렘 성벽을 쌓을 때, 그들은 손에 무기를 들고 있었습니다. 그들은 단순한 건설자가 아니라 전사이기도 했습니다. 한 손으로는 건설을 하고, 다른 한 손으로는 전투 준비를 했습니다. 오늘날 하나님의 백성은 이렇게 살아야 합니다.

BUILDERS AND WARRIORS

“They which builded on the wall, and they that bare burdens, with those that laded, every one with one of his hands wrought in the work, and with the other hand held a weapon” (Nehemiah 4:17).

In Nehemiah’s day, as the people built the wall of Jerusalem, they also held their weapons in their hands. They were not just builders but also warriors. With one hand, they built, and with the other hand, they were battle-ready. That’s how God’s people must be today.
As pastors, leaders, and Christians, we are building the Kingdom of God, but at the same time, engaging in spiritual warfare—battling for the souls of men. This warfare is not fought with guns or swords but with effectual prayer, watchfulness, and the power of words. We must pray and keep praying with fervency, intercede with passion, and make declarations of faith.
Joel 2:15-17 says, “Blow the trumpet in Zion, sanctify a fast, call a solemn assembly: gather the people, sanctify the congregation, assemble the elders, gather the children, and those that suck the breasts: let the bridegroom go forth of his chamber, and the bride out of her closet. Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they say among the people, Where is their God?”
Notice, it involves everybody, young and old, bride and bridegroom, children and elders; all must be engaged in the Spirit. And then, the ministers of the Lord must cry out, interceding for God’s people. We must stand in the gap so the enemy does not triumph and the nations do not say, “Where is their God?”
We must pray against men or institutions that set themselves to foster persecution of Christians and hinder the spread of the Gospel in the nations of the world. We must thwart such forces and insist that they proceed no further; render their efforts futile, and declare that despite their opposition, the Gospel will continue to spread and prevail.
Don’t be silent or passive. The Gospel must be preached in all nations, and it takes watchful builders who are also warriors to make it happen. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for making me a builder and a warrior in your Kingdom. I labour in the Gospel, steadfast in prayer, watchful in the Spirit, and bold in declarations. I refuse to give ground to the adversary; instead, I stand strong, interceding for nations, for leaders, and for the Church. Your Word prevails mightily, and the Gospel spreads unhindered in every nation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

An Affirmation Of Triumph

AN AFFIRMATION OF TRIUMPH

“I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting” (1 Timothy 2:8).

The Bible enjoins us to pray with our hands lifted. This isn’t a mere gesture; it’s a spiritual signal of victory, an affirmation of victory. Something happens when you lift your hands in prayer, praise and worship to the Lord.
Think about Moses, when he lifted his hands during Israel’s battle with Amalek; Israel prevailed. But when his hands grew weary and came down, the enemy prevailed (Exodus 17:11).
But Aron and Hur had to wisely improvise to make his hands stay perpetually lifted (Read the whole account in Exodus 17). When the hands were lifted, victory was assured. They discovered something spiritual that worked; something not even commanded in the Law. Then over in the New Testament, Paul reaffirms the same truth as read in our opening scripture.
Lifting your hands in prayer opens your spirit to divine inspiration, strength and power. It makes no difference the challenges you might be facing right now; perhaps this is what you haven’t done consistently yet. Every so often, lift your hands as you pray. Lift them in faith as a sign that you’ve prevailed.
Sometimes, as you pray, the Spirit of God may even move you to stretch your hand in a particular direction; this is spiritual. Remember Elisha told the king, “Open the window eastward…and shoot” (2 Kings 13:17). It was a prophetic action with spiritual significance.
In the same way, when you lift your hands in prayer, you’re enacting victory in the realm of the Spirit; it’s an affirmation of triumph. As you pray with lifted hands, utter words by the Spirit, knowing that in Christ Jesus, you’re victorious forever. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the power of prayer and the blessing of lifting my hands to you in faith, signalling victory and dominion. By the Spirit, I prevail always; I walk in strength, boldness, and endless triumph, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Gospel Of Deliverance

THE GOSPEL OF DELIVERANCE

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved” (Romans 10:9).

Someone once asked why I don’t preach on “deliverance”; I actually do, but not in the way you might think. I believe the Word of God brings true deliverance, and the moment you receive Christ, you’re delivered. The Gospel itself is the Gospel of deliverance.
Salvation comes by confessing Jesus as Lord and believing in His resurrection. That confession of His Lordship is deliverance in itself, because the Lordship of Jesus Christ over your life completely broke the dominion of Satan. You can’t have Jesus as Lord of your life and, at the same time, have Satan ruling over you; that’s impossible.
Now, some worry about what they call generational bondage or curses. But the Bible already gives the answer to that in 2 Corinthians 5:17. It says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” That means the problem some Christians have is not bondage but ignorance. There’s a mentality some still carry that has kept them defeated, oppressed and in satanic strongholds. But what did the Lord Jesus say, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32). The truth is that in Christ, you’ve been begotten into a new life, a living hope by His resurrection. Hallelujah!
When He died, you died with Him. When He was buried, you were buried with Him. When God raised Him from the dead, you were raised together with Him. Now the Bible says, “Giving thanks unto the Father… Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son” (Colossians 1:12-13).
Thus, the true deliverance is the lordship of Jesus Christ over your life. Now that you’re in Him, you’re seated in the highest place of authority, dominion and power. Ephesians 2:6 says you’ve been raised up together, and made to sit together with Christ in heavenly places.
Ephesians 1:20-21 describes this seat of power as “…Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.” You’re superior to Satan; you therefore don’t need any deliverance from him.

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for my glorious life in Christ and the blessed liberty of the Spirit to love you, fellowship with you, serve you and live for you. Thank you for the victory and dominion I have over Satan and the powers of darkness. I live free, bold, and triumphant every day, walking in the truth of your Word, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

성경은 우리에게 모든 아픔과 질병이 마귀로 인해 발생한다고 말하지 않습니다. 그러나 사탄은 질병과 관련이 있습니다. 그는 태초부터 죄의 원인이었고, 성경은 죄로 인해 사망이 세상에 들어왔다고 말하기 때문입니다. 질병은 단순히 초기 단계의 죽음입니다.

DOMINION OVER SATAN AND HIS WORKS

“Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned” (Romans 5:12).

The Scriptures don’t give us the impression that all sicknesses and diseases are caused by demons. However, Satan does have a remote connection to sickness because he was the cause of sin from the very beginning, and the Bible tells us that through sin, death entered into the world. Sickness is simply, incipient death.
Without sin, there would have been no sickness at all. But some have asked, “If Satan has something to do with sickness, how come doctors are able to cure them?” The answer is simple: Satan is not omnipotent. He doesn’t have all the power. He cannot control all of nature, nor can he totally dominate human life. Man still has a will, and man still has authority.
For example, consider the story of the demon-possessed man of Gadara (Mark 5:1–15). The Bible says he had a legion of demons, yet when the Lord Jesus came by, he ran toward Him. If the demons had their way, they would have prevented the man from approaching the Master. But they couldn’t stop him, because even a demon-possessed man is not 100% controlled by Satan; his will still functions.
This shows that human beings, made in the image of God, are of a higher order than fallen angels. So, any evil or damage caused by Satan can often be undone. If, for example, someone had an accident through satanic manipulation and the car was wrecked, you can repair the car, and Satan cannot stop it.
If Satan had all the power people imagine he has, he would have destroyed everyone long ago. But he hasn’t because he can’t. Yes, Satan does cause trouble, but as already stated, much of what he does can be undone through human effort. But where human ability stops, the Name of Jesus takes over. The Lord Jesus came to destroy the works of the devil and give us dominion over him and his cohorts of darkness. You have power far beyond human strength, far beyond this world. It’s the power of the Holy Spirit. It’s the power of the Name of Jesus. Therefore, your authority in Christ Jesus is greater than every force of darkness.

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for giving me authority in the Name of Jesus. I exercise that authority over sickness, disease, and every work of darkness. I live in the victory of Christ, knowing that Satan is under my feet; His schemes are futile in and around me, and in the lives of those in my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

“예수 그리스도는 어제나 오늘이나 영원토록 동일하시니라” (히 13:8)

어떤 사람들은 환생을 전파하며 죽은 후에 다른 몸으로 돌아온다고 주장합니다. 그 몸은 동물, 새, 곤충, 심지어 다른 사람일 수도 있다고 말합니다. 그러나 이런 가르침은 성경적이지 않습니다. 성경은 환생이 아닌 부활을 가르칩니다. 부활은 죽음 이후의 삶이지만, 하나님의 능력으로 다시 살아난 동일한 사람입니다. 이것이 진리입니다.
환생은 거짓말이며, 거짓 교리입니다. 그러나 부활은 하나님의 실재입니다. 많은 사람들이 자신이 증명할 수 없는 것을 믿는 것은 흥미롭습니다. 기독교는 증명될 수 있습니다. 그리스도의 부활은 그분의 신성을 증명합니다. 로마서 1장 4절은 그분이 죽은 자 가운데서 부활하심으로 거룩한 영을 따라 능력으로 하나님의 아들로 선포되셨다고 말합니다.

부활은 예수님이 정해진 심판자라는 부인할 수 없는 증거입니다. 이 진리를 믿는 것은 환생의 개념을 배제합니다. 어떤 사람들은 침례 요한을 “엘리야”라고 부르신 주님의 말씀을 오해합니다. 주님은 엘리야가 환생하여 침례 요한이 되었다는 뜻으로 말씀하신 것이 아닙니다. 오히려 침례 요한이 엘리야의 능력과 영으로 왔다는 뜻입니다(눅 1:13-17). 만약 엘리야 자신이 다시 나타난다면, 그는 여전히 엘리야이지 요한이 아닐 것입니다.

THE REALITY OF RESURRECTION

“Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever” (Hebrews 13:8).

There are those who preach reincarnation, claiming that after death, a person returns in another body, perhaps as an animal, bird, insect, or even another human. But this teaching is unscriptural. The Bible teaches resurrection, not reincarnation. Resurrection is life after death, but it’s the same person who’s brought back to life by God’s power. That is the truth.
Reincarnation is a lie, a false doctrine, but resurrection is God’s reality. It’s interesting how many believe in what they can’t prove. Christianity can be proven. The resurrection of Christ proves His deity. Romans 1:4 says He was declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.
That’s why His Name still has power today. Whatever He accomplished before He died, His Name continues to do today. The Bible says, “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever” (Hebrews 13:8). Furthermore, the Bible says God has appointed a day of judgment, confirmed by the resurrection of Jesus Christ (read Acts 17:29–31).
The resurrection is the undeniable proof that Jesus is the appointed Judge. Believing in this truth excludes the idea of reincarnation. Some misunderstand the words of the Master about John the Baptist, calling him “Elijah.” He didn’t mean Elijah reincarnated as John the Baptist; rather, He meant that John the Baptist came in the power and spirit of Elijah (Luke 1:13-17). If Elijah himself were to appear again, he would still be Elijah, not John.
The Bible also speaks of two witnesses who will minister in Israel during the last days, and many believe one of them will be Elijah, since he never died but was taken alive to heaven (2 Kings 2:11). When he appears, it will not be a reincarnation, but Elijah himself, manifesting again according to God’s plan.
How about Moses? The Bible says he died and God Himself buried him (Deuteronomy 34:5–6). Yet, he appeared with Elijah on the Mount of Transfiguration with Jesus (Matthew 17:1–3). That wasn’t reincarnation either; it was Moses in a glorified, transfigured body, demonstrating the resurrection power of God. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the assurance of eternal life through Jesus Christ. I live in the reality of His resurrection power and look forward with joy to the glorious rapture of the Church and resurrection of the saints. Thank you for the truth of your Word that has made me free to live joyfully in the love, joy, peace, and dominion of your righteousness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
