Pray In Tongues Consistently
“방언을 말하는 자는 자기의 덕을 세우고 예언하는 자는 교회의 덕을 세우나니” (고전 14:4)
영 안에서 기도하는 것은 당신 안에서 놀라운 결과를 만들어내는 강력한 영적 운동입니다. 하나님께서 당신을 건강하고, 온전하고, 강하게 유지하기 위해 설계하신 것 중 하나는 기도, 특히 영 안에서 기도하는 것입니다. 당신은 방언으로 기도할 때 자신을 세우는 것입니다. 이는 배터리를 충전하는 것과 같습니다. 당신의 영이 충전되고, 활력을 얻고, 강건해져서 진정으로 하나님을 섬길 수 있게 됩니다.
사도 바울은 로마서 1:9에서 심오한 진리를 밝혔습니다. “내가 그의 아들의 복음 안에서 내 심령으로 섬기는 하나님이 나의 증인이 되시거니와…” 이는 우리가 영으로 하나님을 섬긴다는 뜻입니다. 그러므로 당신의 영이 효과적으로 기능하려면 충전되고, 강건해지고, 지속적으로 새로워져야 합니다. 방언 기도가 그 일을 성취합니다.
인간의 영은 약할 수도 있고 강할 수도 있습니다. 당신의 영을 강건하게 하려면 성령 안에서 기도하는 시간을 가져야 합니다. 그렇게 할 때 당신의 영은 세워지고 강해집니다. “사랑하는 자들아 너희는 너희의 지극히 거룩한 믿음 위에 자신을 세우며 성령으로 기도하며”(유 1:20)
하나님께는 그분의 역할이 있고, 당신에게도 당신의 역할이 있습니다. 성령님은 당신을 돕는 분이십니다. 그분은 당신을 대신하여 일하지 않으시고 당신을 통해 일하십니다. 바울은 에베소서 3:14-16에서 말합니다. “이러므로 내가 하늘과 땅에 있는 각 족속에게 이름을 주신 아버지 앞에 무릎을 꿇고 비노니 그의 영광의 풍성함을 따라 그의 성령으로 말미암아 너희 속사람을 능력으로 강건하게 하시오며”
“능력으로 강건하게 하시오며”라는 표현은 당신의 속사람이 성령으로 말미암아 기적을 행하는 능력으로 충만해진다는 뜻입니다. 바울은 이 진리를 깊이 이해했기 때문에 고린도전서 14:18에서 다음과 같이 놀라운 고백을 했습니다. “내가 너희 모든 사람보다 방언을 더 말하므로 하나님께 감사하노라” 고린도 교회는 방언을 말하는 것에 대한 열정으로 유명했지만, 바울은 자신이 그들 모두보다 더 많이 방언을 말한다고 말했습니다.
방언으로 기도하는 것에 대한 바울의 일관성은 그의 지속적인 발전, 승리, 비범한 성취의 열쇠였습니다. 바울은 방언으로 기도하는 것을 가끔 하는 것이 아니라 삶의 방식으로 삼았습니다. 만일 당신이 지속적인 성장, 성공, 발전을 원한다면, 성령 안에서 기도하는 것은 지속적으로 해야 하는 일이 되어야 합니다. 성령 안에서 기도하는 것은 당신이 은혜의 지속적인 증가와 승리 후의 승리를 경험하며 지속적인 발전을 이루도록 도울 것입니다. 할렐루야!
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 성령 안에서 기도하는 축복에 감사드립니다. 나는 성령 안에서 기도함으로써 하나님을 효과적으로 섬길 수 있도록 내 영을 세우고 강건케 합니다. 지금도 내 영은 하나님의 인도와 방향에 맞춰져 있습니다. 나는 영원한 승리와 전진과 증가하는 은혜 가운데 삽니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

PRAY IN TONGUES CONSISTENTLY
“He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church” (1 Corinthians 14:4).
Praying in the Spirit is a powerful spiritual exercise that produces remarkable results within you. One of the things God designed to keep you healthy, sound, and strong is prayer, especially praying in the Spirit. When you speak in tongues, you edify yourself; it’s like charging a battery. Your spirit is charged, energized and strengthened, enabling you to truly serve God.
The Apostle Paul revealed something profound in Romans 1:9, saying, “For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of his Son.” This means we serve God with our spirits. Therefore, for your spirit to function effectively, it must be charged, strengthened, and continually refreshed. Praying in tongues achieves this.
The human spirit can be weak or strong. To strengthen your spirit, you must spend time praying in the Holy Ghost. As you do, your spirit is built up and fortified: “But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit” (Jude 1:20).
God has His role, but you also have yours. The Holy Spirit is your Helper; He doesn’t do the work for you but works through you. Paul, in Ephesians 3:14-16 tells us, “For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might by his Spirit in the inner man.”
The term “strengthened with might” refers to being infused with miracle-working ability by the Holy Spirit in your inner man. Paul understood this truth deeply, which is why he made a remarkable statement in 1 Corinthians 14:18, “I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all.” The Corinthian church was known for their enthusiasm for speaking in tongues, yet Paul stated that he spoke in tongues more than all of them.
Paul’s consistency in praying in tongues was key to his continuous progress, victories, and extraordinary accomplishments. It wasn’t something he did occasionally; it was a lifestyle. If you desire consistent growth, success, and advancement, then praying in the Spirit must be something you do consistently. It’ll help you make consistent progress as you experience continuous increase in grace, and victory after victory. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the blessing of praying in the Spirit, through which I build up and strengthen my spirit to serve you effectively. Even now, my spirit is attuned to your guidance and direction, and I walk in perpetual victory, progress, and ever-increasing grace, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
