영혼의 발전
Soul Development
“지혜 있는 자는 궁창의 빛과 같이 빛날 것이요 많은 사람을 옳은 데로 돌아오게 한 자는 별과 같이 영원토록 빛나리라” (단 12:3)
몇 년 전 어떤 사람이 저에게 “어떤 일을 하십니까?”라고 물었던 일이 생각납니다. 저는 “영혼을 발전시키고 있습니다.”라고 대답했습니다. 그는 깜짝 놀랐고 제가 한 말이 무슨 뜻인지 이해하지 못했습니다. 하지만 “영혼의 발전”이라는 단어는 우리가 하는 일을 정확하게 나타냅니다. 그리스도인, 특히 영혼 구원자로서 그 누구도 당신을 깎아내리거나 당신이 직업이 없다고 말하게 하지 마십시오.
당신은 세상에서 가장 위대하고 중요한 일을 하고 있습니다. 바로 사람들을 어둠에서 빛으로 돌이키게 하고 의 안에서 훈련시키는 일입니다. 이것이 영혼의 발전의 진정한 의미입니다. 성경은 “많은 사람을 옳은 데로 돌아오게 한 자는 별과 같이 영원토록 빛나리라”고 말합니다. 왜 그렇습니까? 당신이 얻은 영혼들이 의의 나무가 되기 때문입니다. 성경은 그들을 “여호와께서 심으신 그 영광을 나타낼 자라 일컬음을 받게 하려 하심이라”(사 61:3)고 말합니다.
세상에는 온갖 종류의 나무가 있지만, 당신이 영혼들을 그리스도께로 인도할 때, 당신은 의의 나무를 키우는 것입니다. 이것이 바로 우리의 사역이 너무나 영광스러운 이유입니다. 우리의 사역은 신성합니다! 우리의 사역보다 더 높은 부르심은 없습니다. 하나님의 가장 중요한 일은 영혼 구원입니다. 그래서 하나님께서는 주 예수님을 보내셨습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “하나님이 세상을 이처럼 사랑하사 독생자를 주셨으니…”(요 3:16) 하나님께서는 온 세상을 구원하기 위해 그분의 가장 귀한 것을 주셨습니다.
영혼 구원에 관해 당신이 더 할 수 있는 일이 무엇인지 항상 생각하고 성령님과 함께 전략을 세우십시오. 당신의 매일 품는 열정과 목표는 어떻게 더 많은 영혼들에게 다가갈 수 있을지에 관한 것이어야 합니다. 당신이 하는 모든 일, 탁월함, 아이디어, 혁신은 이 한 가지, 즉 영혼 구원에 집중되어야 합니다. 이것이 당신의 부르심, 목적, 사역입니다. 하나님을 찬양합니다!
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 나를 영혼 구원자로 삼아 주신 특별한 축복에 감사드립니다. 나는 품위와 탁월함을 지니고 다니며, 어디를 가든지 그리스도를 나타냅니다. 하나님의 지혜가 나를 통해 흐르고, 내가 복음을 전하며 죄인들을 어둠에서 하나님의 아들들의 영광스러운 자유로 인도할 때 하나님의 영광이 내 삶에서 빛납니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

SOUL DEVELOPMENT
“And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever” (Daniel 12:3).
I recall someone asking me many years ago, “What job do you do?” Very quickly, I answered, “I’m into soul development.” He was startled and didn’t know what that meant. But that term, “soul development,” is exactly what we do. As a Christian, especially a soul winner, don’t ever let anyone talk you down or suggest you’re without a job.
You’re doing the greatest, most important work in the world: turning men from darkness to light and training them in righteousness. That’s the true meaning of soul development. The Bible says, “They that turn many to righteousness shall shine as the stars forever.” Why? Because those you win become trees of righteousness, which the Bible calls “the planting of the Lord, that He might be glorified” (Isaiah 61:3).
There are all kinds of trees, but when you win souls to Christ, you raise trees of righteousness. This is why our work is so glorious. It’s divine! There’s no higher calling. God’s number one job is soul winning. That’s why He sent the Lord Jesus. The Bible says, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son…” (John 3:16). He gave His best to win the whole world.
Always think and strategize with the Spirit on what more you can do with regards to soul winning. Your daily passion and pursuit should be about how else you can reach more souls. Everything you do, your excellence, ideas, and innovations should revolve around this one thing: soul development. This is your calling, your purpose, and your ministry. Praise God!
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the extraordinary blessing of making me a soul winner. I carry myself with dignity and excellence, representing Christ in every place. Your wisdom flows through me, and your glory radiates from my life as I minister the Gospel and lead sinners out of darkness into the glorious liberty of the sons of God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
