The Unity Of The Faith
“우리가 다 하나님의 아들을 믿는 것과 아는 일에 하나가 되어 온전한 사람을 이루어 그리스도의 장성한 분량이 충만한 데까지 이르리니” (엡 4:13)
전 세계에 있는 예수 그리스도의 교회는 휴거 전에 도달해야 할 성숙의 수준이 있습니다. 우리가 여전히 영혼을 구원하고 있기 때문에 모든 사람이 하룻밤 사이에 성숙해진다는 뜻은 아닙니다. 그러므로 어린 그리스도인들이 있을 것이고, 그들을 말씀 안에서 훈련하고 양육하는 데 시간이 걸릴 것입니다. 그러나 하나님의 백성들은 성장하고 있으며, 믿음 안에서 더 많은 것을 인식하고 더 연합하고 있습니다.
이는 영 안에서 연합이 이루어질 때까지 계속될 것입니다. 하나님의 백성을 이 방식으로 연합시키는 것은 말씀에 대한 지식과 성령의 사역입니다.
오늘의 본문 구절은 우리가 천국에서 성취할 것이 아닌 이 땅에서 성취할 것에 대해 말합니다. “우리가 다 하나님의 아들을 믿는 것과 아는 일에 하나가 되어…”라는 부분을 주목하십시오. 우리 중 일부가 아닌 온 교회가 연합하여 움직이는 것입니다. 그리스도 안에서 아직 많은 것을 알지 못하는 어린아이들도 주님과 더 오래 동행한 사람들의 인도를 따라야 합니다.
그래서 바울은 “내가 그리스도를 본받는 자가 된 것 같이 너희는 나를 본받는 자가 되라”(고전 11:1)고 담대하게 말할 수 있었습니다. 바울은 주님을 따르고 있었기 때문에 “나를 따라오라”고 말할 수 있었습니다. 이는 높은 수준의 계시가 있는 도시에서 사는 것과 같습니다. 누군가 학교에 다닌 적이 없더라도 그 환경에 있는 것만으로도 교양을 갖출 수 있습니다. 그리스도 안에서 우리 모두는 하나님의 영적인 도시에 살고 있습니다. “그러나 너희가 이른 곳은 시온 산과 살아 계신 하나님의 도성인 하늘의 예루살렘과 천만 천사와”(히 12:22)
우리 모두는 그리스도의 몸의 성숙에 참여하고 있습니다. 말씀을 배우고, 주님의 인도를 따르고, 교회가 말씀이 묘사하는 성숙과 깨어지지 않는 연합의 자리에 도달할 때까지 다른 사람들이 그분 안에서 성장하도록 돕습니다. 당신의 역할을 다하십시오.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 우리를 그리스도 안에서 하나로 만들고 성숙하게 하는 성령님의 사역과 말씀의 지식에 감사드립니다. 나는 양 떼 안으로 들어오는 사람들에게 좋은 본이 되도록 나 자신을 내어드립니다. 내가 그리스도를 따를 때, 나는 나의 말과 행동, 하나님에 대한 헌신으로 다른 사람들을 인도합니다. 내가 날마다 하나님의 지혜와 진리 안에서 행할 수 있도록 나에게 주신 은혜에 감사드립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THE UNITY OF THE FAITH
“Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:13).
There’s a level of maturity that the Church of Jesus Christ all over the world is expected to come to before the Rapture of the Church. This doesn’t mean every individual will become mature overnight because we’re still winning souls. Therefore, there’ll be baby Christians, and it’ll take time to train and raise them in the Word. But God’s people are growing, becoming more aware and more united in the faith.
This will continue until such a time that there’ll be unity in the spirit. What unifies God’s people in this manner is the knowledge of the Word and the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
What the opening verse tells us isn’t something to be achieved in heaven, but here on earth. Notice it says, “Till we all come…,” not just some of us, but the whole Church moving in unity. Even the babes in Christ who don’t know much are expected to follow the guidance of those who have walked with the Lord longer.
That’s why Paul could confidently say, “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ” (1 Corinthians 11:1). He said, “Copy me,” because he was following the Master. It’s like living in a city with a high level of enlightenment; even if someone never went to school, he or she would be cultured likewise by simply being in that environment. In Christ, we all live in God’s spiritual city: “But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels” (Hebrews 12:22).
We all are involved in this maturing of the Body of Christ: learning the Word, following the Lord’s guidance, and helping others to grow in Him, until we, the Church, arrive at that place of maturity and unbroken unity that the Word describes. Ensure to play your role.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the ministry of the Holy Spirit and the knowledge of your Word that unifies and matures us in Christ. I yield myself to be a worthy example to those who are coming into the fold. As I follow Christ, I guide others by my words, actions, and devotion to you. Thank you for your grace that enables me to walk in your wisdom and truth every day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
