Rejuvenated By The Holy Ghost

킹제임스 성경은 잘 번역된 성경이지만 사본에 누락된 부분이 있어서 이탈릭체로 단어가 쓰여져 있는 경우가 종종 있습니다. 결과적으로 오늘의 본문 구절의 바른 번역은 “또 그리스도께서 너희 안에 계시면, 너희 몸은 죄로 인해 죽었으나 성령은 의로 인해 생명이 되시느니라” 입니다. 업데이트된 NIV 번역본이 이 구절을 비슷하게 번역합니다.

그 다음 로마서 8:11은 이렇게 말합니다. “그러나 만일 예수님을 죽은 자들로부터 일으키신 분의 영께서 너희 안에 거하시면 그리스도를 죽은 자들로부터 일으키신 분께서 너희 안에 거하시는 자신의 영을 통해 너희의 죽을 몸도 살리시리라.”(한글 흠정역) 여기서 “그러나”로 번역된 부분은 사실 ‘그러나’일 필요는 없습니다. 가장 적합한 번역은 ‘그리고’, ‘이제’, ‘그리고 나서’ 혹은 ‘그래서’입니다. 이런 단어들이 10절과 더 나은 연결고리를 만들어줍니다.

그러므로 이제 이 구절들을 바른 문맥 가운데 두고 읽어보십시오. “또 그리스도께서 너희 안에 계시면 몸은 죄로 인해 죽었으나 성령은 의로 인해 생명이 되시느니라. 이제 만일 예수님을 죽은 자들로부터 일으키신 분의 영께서 너희 안에 거하시면 그리스도를 죽은 자들로부터 일으키신 분께서 너희 안에 거하시는 자신의 영을 통해 너희의 죽을 몸도 살리시리라.”(롬 8:10-11, 한글 흠정역)

이 글을 읽고 있는 지금도 당신의 몸이 아픔이나 질병으로 인해 쳐지고, 멍들고, 상하고, 파괴되었다면, 변화가 일어날 수 있습니다. 당신의 몸이 마비되어 있다면, 성령님께서 당신의 몸에 생명을 주시고 완전한 건강으로 당신을 회복시켜주실 수 있습니다!

바로 이것이 우리가 방언으로 기도하는 이유 중 하나입니다. 성경은 말합니다. “방언을 말하는 자는 자기의 덕을 세우고…”(고전 14:4) 여기서 “세우다”로 번역된 그리스어 단어는 “오이코도미오(oikodomeo)”로, 건축하거나 강력하게 만들고, 마치 배터리를 충전하는 것처럼 당신을 강하게 하거나 충전하는 것을 의미합니다.

그러므로 방언을 말하는 사람은 자신을 세우고, 충전하고, 살아나게 합니다. 방언으로 말할 때 일어나는 일은 당신 안에 있는 하나님의 능력이 당신의 존재를 통해 역사하여 당신의 육신에 활력을 주는 것입니다.

지금 당장 시간을 내서 방언으로 기도하십시오. 지금 당신 안에서 역사하고 있는 그 능력이 당신의 몸이나 당신이 필요로 하는 모든 곳을 소생시키고, 활력을 주고, 생명을 만들어낼 것입니다.

REJUVENATED BY THE HOLY GHOST

“And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness” (Romans 8:10).

Often in a well-translated King James Version of the Bible, you’d observe some italicized words due to missing links in the manuscripts. Consequently, the correct rendering of our opening verse ought to have been, “And if Christ be in you, though your body is dead because of sin, the Spirit gives it life because of righteousness.” The updated New International Version actually renders it similarly.

Then we come to the 11th verse of the same Romans 8; it says, “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” The word translated as “but” doesn’t necessarily have to be ‘but’. It’s best rendered as ‘and’, ‘now’, ‘then’ or ‘so’. Either of these forgoing words provides a more fitting connection.

So, let’s now put these in the right context and read: “And if Christ be in you, though your body is dead because of sin, the Spirit gives it life because of righteousness. Now, if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Romans 8:10-11).

Even now, as you read this, if your physical body has already been so battered, bruised, damaged and ravaged by sickness and disease, there can be a change. If it had been paralyzed, the Holy Spirit can give life to your physical body and restore you to perfect health!

It’s one of the reasons we speak in tongues. The Bible says, “He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself…” (1 Corinthians 14:4). The Greek word translated “edifieth” is “oikodomeo,” which means to construct or build up, to embolden or charge up like you’d charge a battery.

Thus, the one who speaks in tongues builds himself up, charges himself, and rejuvenates himself. What happens when you do this is that the power of God within you courses through your being, vitalizing your physical body.

Spend some time right now to speak in tongues; the power that’s at work in you even now will revive, vitalize and produce life in your body or wherever you require it.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the impact of the Holy Spirit in my life and on my physical body. I activate the power by speaking in tongues, therefore, I’m invigorated, refreshed, energized and vitalized; health courses through my being, and sickness and all that hurts and binds are dispelled, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Perfect Without Defects

“그 이름을 믿으므로 그 이름이 너희가 보고 아는 이 사람을 성하게 하였나니 예수로 말미암아 난 믿음이 너희 모든 사람 앞에서 이같이 완전히 낫게 하였느니라”(행 3:16)

오늘의 본문 구절에서 “완전히 나음(perfectly soundness)”이라는 표현을 주목하시기 바랍니다. 이는 완전한 건강 상태를 의미하는 그리스어 “홀로클레리아(holokleria)”에서 번역된 것입니다. 아무런 문제가 없는 건강한 상태입니다. 이것이 바로 당신을 향한 하나님의 뜻이며, 예수 이름 안에서 그리고 예수 이름으로 살아가는 수많은 축복 중 하나입니다.

야고보서 1:4도 비슷한 내용을 말합니다. “… 완전하고 완벽하여 아무것도 부족함이 없게…”(한글 흠정역) 여기 나오는 “완벽”이라는 단어는 “홀로클레리아(holokleria)”의 동사 형태인 “홀로클레로스(holokleros)”에서 번역되었습니다. 이는 완벽하게 건강한, 흠 없이 온전한 것을 의미합니다. 얼마나 멋진 삶입니까!

이것이 가능하기 위해서 하나님께서 생명의 영이신 성령님을 보내주셔서 우리를 완벽히 건강하게 하셨습니다. 로마서 8:11은 말합니다. “예수를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 이의 영이 너희 안에 거하시면 그리스도 예수를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 이가 너희 안에 거하시는 그의 영으로 말미암아 너희 죽을 몸도 살리시리라” 할렐루야!

로마서 8:10은 말합니다. “또 그리스도께서 너희 안에 계시면 몸은 죄로 말미암아 죽은 것이나 영은 의로 말미암아 살아 있는 것이니라” 당신 안에 계신 그리스도, 당신 안에 계신 성령님께서 당신의 영과 혼과 육의 완전한 건강을 보장해 주십니다.

이는 베드로가 8년 동안 앉은뱅이였던 애니아를 만난 일을 생각나게 합니다. 베드로가 그에게 “애니아야 예수 그리스도께서 너를 낫게 하시니 일어나 네 자리를 정돈하라”(행 9:34)고 말했습니다. 애니아는 완전히 건강한 상태로 회복되었습니다. 베드로가 예수 이름과 우리 안에 살아 계시는 그리스도의 초월적인 능력을 이해했기 때문입니다.

PERFECT WITHOUT DEFECTS

“And his name through faith in his name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all” (Acts 3:16).

I want you to notice the expression, “perfect soundness” in our opening verse. It’s rendered from the Greek word “holoklēria” which means a perfect state of health; a condition of health with no problems whatsoever. This is God’s desire for you, and it’s one of the many blessings of living in and by the Name of Jesus.

James 1:4 expresses a similar thought; it talks about being “perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” The term translated “entire” is “holoklēros,” the verb form of “holoklēria.” It implies being perfectly sound, complete without blemish. What a life!

Then to make this happen, God gave us the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of life, to keep us perfectly sound. Romans 8:11 says, “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” Hallelujah!

In the previous verse 10, it says, “But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness” (Romans 8:10 NIV). Christ in you, the Holy Spirit in you, guarantees you perfect soundness of spirit, soul and body.

It brings to mind Peter’s encounter with Aeneas who had been crippled for 8 years. All that Peter said to him was, “…Aeneas, Jesus Christ maketh thee whole: arise, and make thy bed. And he arose immediately” (Acts 9:34). Aeneas was restored to a perfect state of health because Peter understood the transcendent power of the Name of Jesus and Christ living in us.

As a Christian, Christ lives in you, and you live in Him. Your faith in His Name and consciousness of His indwelling presence will keep you in perfect soundness. Glory to God!

PRAYER

Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for making me perfect and entire, wanting nothing. I’m righteous, holy, unblameable and unreproveable in your sight, to the glory and praise of your Name. Amen.

Boldness And Access

“이것은 곧 그분께서 그리스도 예수 우리 주 안에서 작정하신 영원한 목적에 따른 것이라. 그리스도 안에서 우리가 그분을 믿는 믿음을 통해 담대함을 가지고 확신 있게 나아감을 얻느니라.”(엡 3:11-12, 한글 흠정역)

오늘의 본문 구절을 다른 일부 성경 번역본으로 보면, 바울이 말한 심오한 간결함을 놓친 경우가 있습니다. 그들은 이 구절을 하나님의 임재 안으로의 담대함과 나아감을 가지는 것으로 번역했습니다. 그러나 우리는 그리스도 예수 안에서 성령으로 말미암아 이미 그것들을 소유하고 있습니다. 그렇다면 바울이 말한 내용의 실제 의미는 무엇입니까?

첫째, 이러한 맥락에서 담대함은 우리 자신에 대해 공개적으로 표현하는 자유를 의미합니다. 당신이 하고 싶은 말은 무엇이든지 할 수 있습니다. 세상의 제도는 제한적인 자유를 주지만, 그리스도 예수 안에서 우리는 원하는 바를 말할 완전한 자유가 있습니다.

BOLDNESS AND ACCESS

“According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord: In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him” (Ephesians 3:11-12).

If you read the opening text from some Bible translations, they missed the profound simplicity of what Paul was saying. They translated it as having access and boldness into God’s presence, but we already have that in Christ Jesus by the Holy Spirit. So what was Paul referring to here?

First, boldness in this context implies the freedom to express ourselves openly; being able to say whatever you want to say. While worldly systems grant freedom with limitations, in Christ Jesus, we have absolute freedom of speech.

We possess the freedom to speak boldly in the presence of the Father, angels, and even demons, and express ourselves freely anywhere. This boldness extends beyond uttering mere words; it empowers us to speak things into existence.

Secondly, we have “access”; meaning we can go anywhere. No nation can ever close its doors to you; you have access to every country, to every wealth and to all riches. Ephesians 3:12 MSG beautifully captures it; it says, “When we trust in him, we’re free to say whatever needs to be said, bold to go wherever we need to go.”

Even with that, it has a limited understanding of the word “Access.” It’s not just about going wherever you need to go; you have access to the spiritual and the material, to the wisdom of Almighty God. You have access to an unending, boundless, fathomless, incalculable, and exhaustless riches of Christ.

When you grasp the depth of your access and vast wealth in Christ, giving and lavishly sponsoring the spread of the Gospel becomes a lifestyle, because you know you have access to an unending supply. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for I have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of Jesus Christ, in whom I’ve obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to His divine will. I live above circumstances, with access to your wisdom and exhaustless riches of Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Hallelujah!

A Manifestation Of His Goodness

“도둑이 오는 것은 도둑질하고 죽이고 멸망시키려는 것뿐이요 내가 온 것은 양으로 생명을 얻게 하고 더 풍성히 얻게 하려는 것이라”(요 10:10)

주 예수님께서는 우리가 생명을 얻고 누리게 하려고 오셨다고 말씀하셨습니다. 이 사실에 대해 기쁘지 않으십니까? 예수님은 이 땅에 살다 죽으시고 다시 살아나셔서 그 무엇도 당신을 향한 그분의 완전한 뜻에 대해 당신을 속일 수 없게 하셨습니다.

요한삼서 1:2은 말합니다. “사랑하는 자여 네 영혼이 잘됨 같이 네가 범사에 잘되고 강건하기를 내가 간구하노라” 이 구절에서 사도 요한은 영적, 물질적, 육신적 안녕을 포함하는 인간의 포괄적인 번영을 설명합니다.

하나님께서는 건강 없이는 그분이 주신 삶을 누릴 수 없다는 것을 아십니다. 그래서 하나님께서는 아픈 사람들을 치유하라고 우리를 보내셨습니다. 신성한 치유는 하나님의 선하심의 표현입니다. 사도행전 10:38은 이 진리를 더욱 강조합니다. “하나님이 나사렛 예수에게 성령과 능력을 기름 붓듯 하셨으매 그가 두루 다니시며 선한 일을 행하시고 마귀에게 눌린 모든 사람을 고치셨으니 이는 하나님이 함께 하셨음이라”

하나님께서는 예수님을 보내셨습니다. 그리고 예수님은 두루 다니시며 선한 일을 행하시고 마귀에 눌린 모든 사람들을 고치셨습니다. 성경은 예수님께서 우리에게 동일한 명령을 주신 것을 보여줍니다. 예수님께서는 마태복음 10:8에서 말씀하셨습니다. “병든 자를 고치며 죽은 자를 살리며 나병환자를 깨끗하게 하며 귀신을 쫓아내되 너희가 거저 받았으니 거저 주라”

누가복음 9:2은 제자들에게 이렇게 말합니다. “하나님의 나라를 전파하며 앓는 자를 고치게 하려고 내보내시며” 할렐루야! 미문이라고 하는 성전 문에서 베드로와 요한이 한 일을 생각해 보십시오. 그들은 나면서부터 앉은뱅이였던 구걸하는 사람을 만났습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “베드로가 이르되 은과 금은 내게 없거니와 내게 있는 이것을 네게 주노니 나사렛 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 일어나 걸으라 하고”(행 3:6)

걷지 못하던 사람이 즉시 나음을 받고 베드로와 요한과 함께 성전에 들어가 하나님을 찬양했습니다. 많은 사람들은 그때까지 앉은뱅이에게 하나님의 선하심이 나타나는 것을 보고 그 기적적인 치유에 놀랐습니다. 하나님께서는 사람들이 아프고, 약하고, 무너지는 것을 원치 않으십니다. 그래서 열방에 치유를 주기 위해 우리를 보내셨습니다. 할렐루야!

고백

나는 사탄이 내게 상관할 바가 없음을 선포합니다. 나는 그리스도 예수 안에서 초월적인 영원히 승리하는 삶을 살고 있기 때문입니다. 나는 질병에 걸리지 않는 생명과 신성한 본성에 참여하는 자입니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

A MANIFESTATION OF HIS GOODNESS

“The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)” (John 10:10 AMPC).

The Lord Jesus said He came that we may have and enjoy life to the full. Aren’t you glad about that? He lived and died, and came back to life to see to it that nothing cheats you out of His perfect will for you.

In 3 John 1:2, He said, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” In this verse, the apostle John describes the comprehensive prosperity of the human person, which includes spiritual, material and physical well-being.

God knows that without sound health, you can’t enjoy the life that He gave you. That’s why He sent us to heal the sick. Divine healing is a manifestation of His goodness. Acts 10:38 further reinforces this truth. It says, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

God sent Jesus, and He went about doing good, healing all those who were oppressed of the devil. The Bible shows that He gave us the same charge. He said in Matthew 10:8, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.”

Luke 9:2 says, referring to the disciples, “And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick.” Hallelujah! Think about Peter and John at the gate of the temple called, Beautiful. They encountered a man who had been lame from birth, begging for alms. The Bible says, “Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk” (Acts 3:6).

The man, previously unable to walk, was healed instantly, and he entered the temple with Peter and John, praising God. The crowd, astonished at the miraculous healing, saw in the hitherto lame man, the manifestation of the goodness of God. God doesn’t want people sick, weak, or broken. That’s why He sent us to take healing to the nations. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION

I declare that Satan has nothing in me, for I walk in the transcendent, victorious and ever-triumphant life in Christ Jesus. I’m a partaker of the divine nature, with a life that’s sickness-proof, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

An Understanding Of His Love

“… 아버지께서 나를 보내신 것과 또 나를 사랑하심 같이 그들도 사랑하신 것을 세상으로 알게 하려 함이로소이다”(요 17:23)

하나님께서는 예수님을 사랑하신 만큼 당신을 사랑하십니다. 당신의 영에 이 실재가 계시되었습니까? 그렇다면 그 실재는 당신의 삶에 관한 모든 것을 바꿀 것입니다. 수년 전에 저는 이 구절을 발견하고 너무 기뻐서 소리치고, 울고, 춤추고, 비명을 질렀습니다!

우리를 향한 하나님의 사랑은 인간이 설명할 수도, 상상할 수도 없습니다. 로마서 5:8은 말합니다. “우리가 아직 죄인 되었을 때에 그리스도께서 우리를 위하여 죽으심으로 하나님께서 우리에 대한 자기의 사랑을 확증하셨느니라” 또한 요한복음 3:16은 이렇게 말합니다. “하나님이 세상을 이처럼 사랑하사 독생자를 주셨으니 이는 그를 믿는 자마다 멸망하지 않고 영생을 얻게 하려 하심이라”

하나님께 당신의 가치는 그분이 당신의 구원을 위해 지불하신 값, 곧 예수 그리스도의 피입니다. “너희가 알거니와 너희 조상이 물려 준 헛된 행실에서 대속함을 받은 것은 은이나 금 같이 없어질 것으로 된 것이 아니요 오직 흠 없고 점 없는 어린 양 같은 그리스도의 보배로운 피로 된 것이니라”(벧전 1:18-19)

AN UNDERSTANDING OF HIS LOVE

“… and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me” (John 17:22-23).

God loves you as much as He loves Jesus. Has this reality dawned on your spirit? When it does, it’ll completely transform everything about your life. Years ago, when I discovered this verse, I shouted, cried, danced, and screamed for joy!

God’s love for us is beyond human description and imagination. In Romans 5:8, the Bible says, “But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Your value to God is the price He paid for your salvation, which is the blood of Jesus Christ: “Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold…But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot (1 Peter 1:18-19).

This should help you further appreciate the infinite magnitude and boundless nature of His love. In Ephesians 3:17-18, the Holy Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, prayed that we, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend the unfathomable dimensions of the Father’s love.

Furthermore, in Romans 8:32, the Apostle Paul raised a thought-provoking question as he reflected on God’s matchless love for us. He asked, “He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?” In other words, why should anyone be sick, weak, poor, beggarly, broke, depressed or live a down life, judging how much the Father loves us?

An understanding of our heavenly Father’s love will rid your life of fear, sickness, and everything associated with Satan and darkness. Matthew’s account of what the Lord did as a demonstration of His love for the people lends credence to this. It says, “And Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people” (Matthew 9:35). Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Ever-loving Father, thank you for the unfathomable and immeasurable love you’ve so lavished upon me. It’s such a delight to know that I’m special and valuable to you. I walk in the consciousness of your unfailing love today, and I manifest and radiate your love to my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

An Act Of Victory

“모세의 팔이 피곤하매 그들이 돌을 가져다가 모세의 아래에 놓아 그가 그 위에 앉게 하고 아론과 훌이 한 사람은 이쪽에서, 한 사람은 저쪽에서 모세의 손을 붙들어 올렸더니 그 손이 해가 지도록 내려오지 아니한지라 여호수아가 칼날로 아말렉과 그 백성을 쳐서 무찌르니라”(출 17:12-13)

지난 말씀의 실재에서 언급했듯이 주님께 손을 드는 것은 단순한 종교적 행위가 아니라 그분께 드리는 제사입니다. 이것은 사역입니다. 예를 들어, 출애굽기 17:8-31은 이스라엘 백성들이 아말렉 사람들과 싸운 이야기를 들려줍니다.

아말렉 사람들이 르비딤에서 이스라엘을 공격했습니다. 모세는 여호수아에게 아말렉과 싸울 사람들을 뽑으라고 지시했습니다. 그리고 모세는 하나님의 지팡이를 손에 들고 산꼭대기로 올라갔습니다. 전투가 진행되는 동안 모세가 손을 들 때마다 이스라엘 사람들이 이겼지만, 그가 손을 내리면 아말렉 사람들이 우세해졌습니다.

AN ACT OF VICTORY

“Finally, Moses was so tired that Aaron and Hur got a rock for him to sit on. Then they stood beside him and supported his arms in the same position until sunset. That’s how Joshua defeated the Amalekites” (Exodus 17:12-13 CEV).

As referenced in our last study, the lifting of our hands to the Lord is an offering to Him, not a mere religious routine as some folks think. It’s a ministry. For example, Exodus 17:8-13 gives us the account of the Israelites’ battle against the Amalekites.

The Amalekites attacked Israel at Rephidim. Moses instructed Joshua to choose men to fight against Amalek while he went to the top of the hill with the staff of God in his hand. As the battle progressed, whenever Moses held up his hands, the Israelites prevailed, but when he lowered them, the Amalekites gained the upper hand.

Aaron and Hur, the two men who were with Moses noticed that every time Moses lifted his hands, Israel had the advantage, and every time his hands dropped, the opposing side prevailed. Moses, unaware of the impact, was informed by Aaron and Hur that the lifting of his hands influenced the outcome of the battle.

Recognizing the importance, Aaron and Hur provided a stone for him to sit on, and they both helped to bear his hands up on either side. By so doing, Israel prevailed against Amalek. What did that signify? It wasn’t about the height of the hands; it was the lifting of the hands.

Remember that he had to sit down; when he sat down, the height was reduced. So, it wasn’t about how high the hands were; it was the fact that the hands were lifted. With his hands steady until sunset, Joshua overwhelmed the Amalekite forces.

There’s something about the lifting of our hands. If you desire to witness continuous victories and triumphs, always praise the Lord with your hands lifted. When you face challenges, declare, “Father, I lift my hands to you against these issues, against the forces of darkness, against those that war against me.” This act has the power to paralyze opposing forces! Blessed be God!

Prayer

Dear Father, I lift my hands to you today in holiness, to bless and adore you for your glory, majesty and grace. I rejoice in you today, knowing that you’re the glory of my life and the solid rock on which I stand. With my hands lifted in praise, I declare that you alone are God; you’re the great King of all; thank you for your lovingkindness, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Lifting Of Our Hands

“나의 기도가 주의 앞에 분향함과 같이 되며 나의 손 드는 것이 저녁 제사 같이 되게 하소서”(시 141:2)

성경에는 손을 드는 것의 의미와 축복에 대한 많은 언급이 있습니다. 시편 134:1-2은 말합니다. “보라 … 여호와를 송축하라 성소를 향하여 너희 손을 들고 여호와를 송축하라” 우리가 손을 들 때, 축복이 풀어집니다. 신성한 능력이 우리 손을 통해 흐릅니다.

한 번은 관절염으로 고생하는 사람들이 많은 집회에 참석했는데 그들 중 많은 사람들이 손을 들 수 없었습니다. 저는 주님께 “그곳에는 왜 관절염이 있는 사람들이 많습니까?”라고 여쭤보았습니다.

제 질문에 대한 주님의 대답은 매우 흥미로웠습니다. “내가 내 말씀에 손 들고 나를 경배하라고 말했다. 경배 중에 손을 드는 것이 너를 관절염으로부터 보호할 것이다.” 그러나 안타깝게도 많은 사람들이 이에 대해 모르고 있습니다.

그리고 주님께서 “만일 이 사람들이 성경에 기록된 것 같이 기도하고, 경배하고, 그들의 손을 들고 찬양한다면 그들은 결코 관절염으로 고생하지 않을 것이다.” 손을 드는 것처럼 하나님께서 우리에게 하라고 하신 일은 우리를 위한 것입니다. 우리의 축복을 위한 것입니다. 기도하고 경배하는 시간에 자주 당신의 손을 높이 드십시오.

주님을 향해 손을 드는 것은 당신의 삶에서 그분의 은혜와 영광을 인식하는 표식입니다. 놋 제단에 드리는 저녁 제사의 상징은 우리가 손을 드는 것을 반영합니다. 따라서, 경배 중에 손을 드는 것은 구약의 놋제단에 올려진 모든 황소와 염소보다 하나님을 더 기쁘시게 합니다.

다윗은 옛 성막의 제사장 직분을 잘 알고 있었습니다. 또한 그는 하나님의 선지자였으며 성령으로 말미암아 신약의 계시를 받아 오늘날 우리의 손을 드는 것이 구약의 번제를 대신하는 것을 보았습니다.

디모데전서 2:8은 말합니다. “그러므로 각처에서 남자들이 분노와 다툼이 없이 거룩한 손을 들어 기도하기를 원하노라” 여기서 사도 바울은 사랑과 감사가 충만한 기쁜 심령으로 아버지께 드리는 영적 예배와 찬양을 말했습니다.

THE LIFTING OF OUR HANDS

“Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice” (Psalms 141:2).

In the scriptures, there’re copious references to the import and blessings of the lifting of our hands. Psalm 134:1-2 says, “Behold, bless ye the LORD… Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the LORD.” When we lift our hands, blessings are released; divine power flows through our hands.

Once I was in a meeting where there were many people with arthritis, and a lot of them couldn’t lift their hands. I asked the Lord, “Why do we have so many people in that place with arthritis?”

The Lord’s response to me was very interesting. He said, “I said in my Word to lift your hands and worship me; lifting your hands in worship will keep you away from such arthritis.” Sadly, many don’t know this.

Then He said, “If those people had been praying, worshipping, praising with their hands lifted, as the Scripture says, they would have never suffered arthritis.” The things that God tells us to do are for our sake, for our blessing, such as the lifting of our hands. Every so often, in times of prayer and worship, let your hands go up.

Lifting your hands to the Lord is a sign of your recognition of His grace and glory in your life. Remember, the symbolism of the evening sacrifice offered on the brazen altar is reflected in the lifting up of our hands. Therefore, when you lift your hands in worship, it pleases God more than all the bulls and goats sacrificed on that brazen altar in the Old Testament.

David was well acquainted with the priesthood ministry in the old Tabernacle. Also, he was a prophet of God, and by the Spirit, he had a revelation of the New Testament and saw that the lifting of our hands today had taken the place of the burnt offering in the Old Testament.

In 1 Timothy 2:8, the Bible says, “I will therefore that men pray everywhere, lifting up holy hands, without wrath or doubting.” The Apostle Paul here was referring to spiritual worship and offering of praise to the Father from a joyful heart, full of love and thanksgiving.

Even now, lift your hands and worship the Lord for His love, mercy, and kindness; tell Him how much you love Him.

PRAYER

Holy Father, I lift up my hands in worship to you, in praise of your majesty, for you alone are God, worthy of all adoration. There’s none like you; you’re great and mighty. Throughout all generations, you’re the same: faithful, just, righteous, holy, pure and true. I love you, Lord!

He Delights In Your Prosperity

“너희가 만일 불의한 재물에도 충성하지 아니하면 누가 참된 것으로 너희에게 맡기겠느냐”(눅 16:11)

그리스도 안에 있는 번영을 가르칠 때 비방하는 그리스도인들이 있습니다. 그들은 때때로 설교자들이 돈과 형통의 메시지에 너무 집중한다며 비난하기도 합니다. 아이러니하게도 그렇게 비난한 사람들이 하루 종일, 일주일 내내 돈을 벌기 위해 쉬지 않고 일합니다. 그들 중 일부는 돈을 벌기 위해 부정직한 방법을 사용하기도 하고, 돈이 부족해지면 종종 괴로움을 느끼기도 합니다.

재정적 번영에 관해 하나님의 말씀보다 더 잘 배울 수 있는 곳은 없습니다. 주님은 당신의 번영을 기뻐하십니다. 요한삼서 1:2은 말합니다. “사랑하는 자여 네 영혼이 잘됨 같이 네가 범사에 잘되고 강건하기를 내가 간구하노라”

이는 시편 35:27에서 다윗이 말한 내용을 떠올리게 합니다. “… 자기 종의 형통함을 기뻐하시는 주를 크게 높일지어다”(한글 흠정역) 주님은 당신의 형통을 기뻐하십니다. 가난, 부족함, 궁핍함은 당신을 향한 하나님의 뜻이 아닙니다.

고린도후서 9:8은 말합니다. “하나님이 능히 모든 은혜를 (모든 호의와 이 땅의 축복) 너희에게 넘치게 하시나니 이는 너희로 모든 환경에서, 항상 모든 것이 넉넉하여 [선한 일들과 자선적인 일들을 하기에 어떤 도움이나 지원이 필요하지 않을 만큼 충분히 소유한, 자급자족하는]”(확대번역본)

당신을 향한 하나님의 뜻은 당신이 풍요롭고 항상 번영하는 것입니다. 할렐루야! 시편 1:3을 읽어보십시오. “그는 물 있는 강가에 심은 나무 곧 제 철에 열매를 맺는 나무 같으며 그의 잎사귀 또한 시들지 아니하리로다. 그가 하는 것은 무엇이든지 형통하리로다.”(한글 흠정역)

그리스도 안에서 당신은 자급자족합니다. 당신에게 필요한 것은 무엇이든지 풍성하게 소유합니다. 하나님을 찬양합니다!

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 모든 선한 일과 자선적인 이들을 하기에 어떤 도움이나 지원이 필요하지 않을 만큼 풍성한 삶을 살도록 내 안에 역사하는 아버지의 은혜에 감사드립니다. 나의 번영을 기뻐하시니 감사합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

HE DELIGHTS IN YOUR PROSPERITY

“If therefore ye have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?” (Luke 16:11).

There are Christians who make snide remarks when they hear the teachings on prosperity in Christ. Sometimes, they accuse preachers of focusing too much on money and the prosperity message. Ironically, the same individuals work tirelessly all day and all week for money. Some of them even resort to dishonest means to obtain it, and often feel distressed when they lack it.

There’s no better place to learn about financial prosperity than God’s Word. The Lord delights in your prosperity. The Bible says in 3 John 1:2, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

It brings to mind the words of David in Psalm 35:27; he said, “…Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.” The Lord has pleasure in your prosperity. That should let you know that poverty, lack and want aren’t the will of God for you.

2 Corinthians 9:8 says, “And God is able to make all grace (every favor and [a]earthly blessing) come to you in abundance, so that you may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need [b]be self-sufficient [possessing enough to require no aid or support and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation].”

His will is for you to be in surplus, ever-prospering. Hallelujah! Read Psalm 1:3 (TPT); it says, “What delight comes to the one who follows God’s ways….He will be standing firm like a flourishing tree planted by God’s design, deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss, bearing fruit in every season of life. He is never dry, never fainting, ever blessed, ever prosperous”

In Christ, you’re self-sufficient; you have whatever you require in abundance. Praise God!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for your grace at work in me for a life of superabundance, where I require no aid or support but furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation. Thank you for delighting in my prosperity, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Keep Bearing Fruits

“너희가 나를 택한 것이 아니요 내가 너희를 택하여 세웠나니 이는 너희로 가서 열매를 맺게 하고 또 너희 열매가 항상 있게 하여 내 이름으로 아버지께 무엇을 구하든지 다 받게 하려 함이라”(요 15:16)

주 예수님께서 항상 있는 열매, 즉 오랜 시간 동안 남는 결과를 맺도록 당신을 선택하고 정하셨다는 것이 놀랍지 않습니까? 당신이 하는 일은 무엇이든 성공하고 “성공 가운데 살게” 되어 있습니다.

성경은 요셉이 보디발의 집에 종으로 끌려왔던 이야기를 들려줍니다. 주님께서 요셉과 함께 하셨기 때문에 그는 하는 모든 일에서 형통했습니다. 요셉의 주인은 보디발은 이를 보고 요셉을 자신의 집의 총관리인으로 삼았습니다. 보디발은 요셉이 지속적인 결과를 내도록 축복 받았다는 사실을 알았습니다.

당신의 삶에 임한 하나님의 은혜는 당신이 하는 모든 일에서 탁월한 결과가 나오게 합니다. 이 진리를 인식하십시오. 당신은 하나님의 자녀이고 선한 일들을 위해 예정되어 있으므로 당신이 하는 모든 일들은 성공이어야 합니다. 에베소서 2:10은 말합니다. “우리는 그가 만드신 바라 그리스도 예수 안에서 선한 일을 위하여 지으심을 받은 자니 이 일은 하나님이 전에 예비하사 우리로 그 가운데서 행하게 하려 하심이니라”

KEEP BEARING FRUITS

“You did not choose me. I chose you and sent you out to produce fruit, the kind of fruit that will last. Then my Father will give you whatever you ask for in my name” (John 15:16 CEV).

Isn’t it wonderful to know that the Lord Jesus chose and ordained you to produce abiding fruits: results that stand the test of time? Whatever you do is expected to succeed and “abide.”

The Bible tells us about Joseph who was brought into the house of Potiphar as a slave. However, because the Lord was with him, everything he did prospered. When his master, Potiphar, saw this, he promptly made Joseph the overseer of his house. Potiphar recognized that Joseph was blessed to produce lasting results.

The grace of God is on your life to produce excellence in everything you do. Become conscious of this. Whatever you’re required to do should be a success because you’re a child of God, and you’re fashioned for good works. Ephesians 2:10 says, “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.”

Keep bearing fruits. Keep winning. Remain effective. Wherever you find yourself, make a difference. Joseph’s excellence wasn’t discovered when he became the boss; it was discovered while he was a slave. He only became the boss because of his effectiveness.

Thanks be unto God; the Spirit of God in you makes you an effective and efficient person. Read what the Bible says in Acts 1:8 AMPC: “But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you….”

Psalm 1:1-3 also gives a vivid description of your ever-fruitful and ever-productive life in Christ. It says, “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.”

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the inherent ability in me to be effective and efficient in all that I do, producing lasting and extraordinary results. You’ve equipped and ordained me for a fruitful and productive life. I’m effective in the ministry of reconciliation, and every other area of my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Established In The Truth

“그러므로 내가 첫째로 권하노니 모든 사람을 위하여 간구와 기도와 도고와 감사를 하되 임금들과 높은 지위에 있는 모든 사람을 위하여 하라 이는 우리가 모든 경건과 단정함으로 고요하고 평안한 생활을 하려 함이라 이것이 우리 구주 하나님 앞에 선하고 받으실 만한 것이니 하나님은 모든 사람이 구원을 받으며 진리를 아는 데에 이르기를 원하시느니라”(딤전 2:1-4)

오늘의 본문 구절에서 “아는 데(지식)”로 번역된 헬라어 단어는 “에피그노시스(epignosis)”입니다. 이는 완전하고 정확한 지식을 의미합니다. 하나님께서는 모든 사람이 구원을 받고, 진리에 대한 완전하고 정확한 지식에 이르기를 원하십니다. 이것이 가능하지 않았다면 하나님께서는 오늘의 본문 구절처럼 말씀하지 않으셨을 것입니다. 이것은 하나님의 갈망입니다.

ESTABLISHED IN THE TRUTH

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:1-4).

The Greek word translated “knowledge” in the verse above is “epignosis.” It means full, exact or precise knowledge. God wants all men to be saved, and to come to the full, exact or precise knowledge of the truth. If this weren’t possible, He wouldn’t have said so. This is His desire.

It’s also the reason He set ministers and ministries in place as gifts to the Church: “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers. For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ.”

God wants you built up and established in the Word, until you come to such a high level of faith and knowledge of the Son of God—mature and fully grown in the Lord. As you develop in Christ and in the things of the Spirit, and as you increase in the revelation knowledge of the Word, you’re able to tame circumstances and live above the elements of this world.

When you have precise knowledge of the truth—the truth about Christ and what He’s done for you, and in you—your life will be an endless stream of peace, joy, and victories. Get to know the truth.

For example, Psalm 87:3 says, “Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God.” Then in Psalm 50:2, the Bible says, “Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God hath shined.” Hallelujah! God shines through you, not cancer, diabetes, kidney failure, poverty or any of the negativities of the world. You’re the perfection of beauty.

When you stand in front of the mirror, look at yourself and say, “I know who I am; Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world. My life is for the glory of God because Christ lives in me.” Be established in these truths. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for granting me absolute and exact knowledge of your Word, far removed from assumptions, doubts and uncertainties. I function by the Spirit of wisdom and knowledge in all my endeavours, fruitful in every good work. Christ is the glory of my life and by His grace, I reign triumphantly every day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
