당신의 수고는 헛되지 않습니다

Your Labour Is Not In Vain

“하나님은 불의하지 아니하사 너희 행위와 그의 이름을 위하여 나타낸 사랑으로 이미 성도를 섬긴 것과 이제도 섬기고 있는 것을 잊어버리지 아니하시느니라”(히 6:10)

잠언 14:23은 모든 수고에는 유익이 있다고 말합니다. 복음을 위해 당신이 행하거나 희생한 일 모두 다 기록되어 있으며(말 3:16), 주님은 그것에 대해 상을 주십니다. 수십 년 전, 주님은 제가 한 일과 사랑의 수고를 잊을만큼 불의한 분이 아니라는 사실을 알려주셨을 때, 그 진리는 저에게 엄청난 기쁨이 되었습니다.

저는 외딴 마을들에서 복음을 전하고 집회를 여느라 제 시간과 삶을 낭비하고 있다는 말을 듣곤 했습니다. 그러나 오늘의 본문 구절을 읽고 나서 기쁨의 눈물이 났습니다. 저는 주님을 찬양하고, 소리치고, 경배했습니다.

주님의 일을 하다가 사방에서 핍박을 받는 것 같을 때가 있습니다. 마치 당신의 시간과 삶을 낭비하고 있는 것 같습니다. 그럴 때마다 하나님은 당신이 한 일과 사랑의 수고를 잊을 만큼 불의한 분이 아니라는 사실을 항상 기억하십시오.

그분은 당신이 하는 모든 일과 복음 전파를 위해 한 일에 대해 상을 주실 것입니다. 그분은 영혼구원을 위한 당신의 모든 기도, 복음 전파를 위한 재정적 기여, 그리스도께 영혼들을 이겨오기 위한 개인적인 복음 전파의 노력, 그리고 당신의 모든 헌신에 대해 상을 주실 것입니다.

예수님이 하신 말씀을 기억하십시오. “… 내가 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 나와 복음을 위하여 집이나 형제나 자매나 어머니나 아버지나 자식이나 전토를 버린 자는 현세에 있어 집과 형제와 자매와 어머니와 자식과 전토를 백 배나 받되 박해를 겸하여 받고 내세에 영생을 받지 못할 자가 없느니라 그러나 먼저 된 자로서 나중 되고 나중 된 자로서 먼저 될 자가 많으니라”(막 10:29-31) 당신의 축복은 천국에 갈 때까지 미뤄지는 것이 아닙니다. 당신의 축복은 이 땅에서부터 시작됩니다.

주님을 위해 무슨 일을 하고 있든지 그 일을 지속하십시오. 계속해서 그분의 말씀을 전파하십시오. 그분의 의를 계속 전하십시오. 그분의 영광으로 당신의 세상에 계속 영향을 주십시오. 굳건하고 흔들리지 않으며, 항상 주님의 일에 더욱 힘쓰십시오. 이는 당신의 수고가 주 안에서 헛되지 않은 줄 알기 때문입니다(고전 15:58).

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 왕국 안에서 그리고 왕국을 위한 나의 수고와 희생이 헛되지 않다는 것을 알기에 내 마음은 기쁨으로 충만합니다! 나는 굳건하고 흔들리지 않으며 항상 주님의 일에 더욱 힘씁니다. 나는 내 수고에 큰 보상이 있음을 알기 때문입니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

YOUR LABOUR IS NOT IN VAIN

“For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister” (Hebrews 6:10).

The Bible says in Proverbs 14:23 that there’s profit in all labour. Everything you do or sacrifice for the sake of the Gospel is recorded (Malachi 3:16), and the Lord also rewards you for it. This gave me immense joy decades ago when the Lord showed me that He’s not unrighteous to forget my work or labour of love.

I had been told I was wasting my time and my life for preaching the Gospel and holding crusades in remote villages. But then I saw our opening verse and wept for joy. I praised, screamed, and worshipped the Lord.

There’re times you’re about the Lord’s work and there seem to be persecutions from all angles. And it’s as though you’re wasting your time, and wasting your life; at such times, always remember that God isn’t unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love.

He’ll reward you for all that you do, and have done in the propagation of the Gospel. He will reward you for all your prayers for souls to be saved, your financial contributions to the spread of the Gospel, your personal evangelical efforts to win souls to Christ, and all your sacrifices.

Remember the words of Jesus: “…Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, But he shall receive an hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life…” (Mark 10:29-31). Your blessing isn’t deferred until you get to heaven. It begins here on earth.

Whatever you’re doing for the Lord, keep at it. Keep spreading His Word. Keep spreading His righteousness. Keep impacting your world with His glory. Remain steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).

PRAYER

Dear Father, my heart is filled with joy to know that my labour and sacrifices in and for the Kingdom are not in vain! I remain steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that there’s a great reward for my labour in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

사드락, 메삭, 아벳느고가 주는 교훈

A Cue From Shadrach, Meshach, And Abednego

“… 느부갓네살이여… 우리가 섬기는 하나님이 계시다면 우리를 맹렬히 타는 풀무불 가운데에서 능히 건져내시겠고 왕의 손에서도 건져내시리이다 그렇게 하지 아니하실지라도 왕이여 우리가 왕의 신들을 섬기지도 아니하고 왕이 세우신 금 신상에게 절하지도 아니할 줄을 아옵소서”(단 3:16-18)

사드락, 메삭, 아벳느고는 왕이 세운 금 신상에 절하지 않으면 풀무불 가운데 불타게 될 것이라는 협박을 받았습니다. 그들은 타협하기를 거부했고, 겁먹기보다 죽는 것을 선택했습니다. 우리는 오늘의 본문 구절을 통해 그들의 주님에 대한 완전한 헌신과 확신을 볼 수 있습니다.

하나님을 향한 그들의 흔들리지 않는 믿음은 왕을 분노케 했고, 왕은 그들을 맹렬한 풀무불에 던져 넣으라고 명령했습니다. 불이 어찌나 뜨거웠던지 그들을 던진 사람들 역시 불타 죽었습니다. 그러나, 사드락, 메삭, 아벳느고는 하나도 다치지 않았습니다. 주님은 그들을 보호해 주셨습니다.

느부갓네살은 그들이 맹렬히 타는 풀무불에도 해를 입지 않는 것을 보고 회개하여 이렇게 선포했습니다. “… 사드락과 메삭과 아벳느고의 하나님을 찬송할지로다 그가 그의 천사를 보내사 자기를 의뢰하고 그들의 몸을 바쳐 왕의 명령을 거역하고 그 하나님 밖에는 다른 신을 섬기지 아니하며 그에게 절하지 아니한 종들을 구원하셨도다 그러므로 내가 이제 조서를 내리노니 각 백성과 각 나라와 각 언어를 말하는 자가 모두 사드락과 메삭과 아벳느고의 하나님께 경솔히 말하거든 그 몸을 쪼개고 그 집을 거름터로 삼을지니 이는 이같이 사람을 구원할 다른 신이 없음이니라 하더라”(단 3:28-29)

이것이 바로 주눅들게 하는 극심한 반대에도 당신이 믿음으로 굳게 서 있을 때 일어나는 일입니다. 얼마 지나지 않아 당신의 비방자들은 당신의 믿음과 확신에 감동하여 구원에 이르게 될 것입니다. 그러므로 당신의 삶을 다해 하나님을 섬기십시오.

복음 전하다가 직업을 잃을 지라도 당신의 영 안에 있는 주님의 기쁨은 빼앗길 수 없습니다. 당신의 직장은 없어질지라도, 영은 없어지지 않습니다. 하나님은 전능하십니다. 하나님을 신뢰하십시오. 그리스도와 복음의 메시지에 대한 당신의 확신을 표현하는 일에 주저하거나, 의기소침해지거나, 미안해하지 마십시오. 하나님은 그 어떤 정부, 기관, 권력보다 크십니다. 하나님은 우주를 다스리는 분이십니다.

그러므로 하나님을 위해 믿음으로 굳게 서십시오. 사드락, 메삭, 아벳느고에게서 배우십시오.

고백

내 영에 있는 하나님의 말씀은 매우 강합니다. 말씀은 불처럼 타올라 내 뼛속까지 들어갑니다. 그 무엇도 나의 믿음의 고백과 그리스도의 복음을 선포하는 것을 방해할 수 없습니다. 내 안에 거하시는 성령으로 말미암아 나는 힘을 얻고 강해집니다. 하나님은 나를 완전한 승리자로 만드셨습니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!

A CUE FROM SHADRACH, MESHACH AND ABEDNEGO

“…O Nebuchadnezzar…our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up” (Daniel 3:16-18).

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were threatened by the government of the day to bow down to the king’s golden image or burn in the fiery furnace. They refused to compromise, choosing rather to die than to cower. Their inspiring statement of conviction and absolute commitment to the Lord is what we read in our theme scripture.

Their unwavering faith in God infuriated the king, who ordered that they be thrown into the fiery furnace. The fire was so intense that it burnt and killed the men that threw them in. Howbeit, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were unscathed. The Lord protected them.

When Nebuchadnezzar noticed they were unhurt by the blazing furnace, he repented and declared, “…Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him….Therefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak anything amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort” (Daniel 3:28-29).

That’s what happens when you stand your ground in faith, in spite of fierce and daunting opposition. Soon enough, your detractors will be inspired by your faith and convictions, which could lead to their salvation. So, serve God with your life.

Your job may be taken away from you for preaching the Gospel, but they can’t take away the joy of the Lord that’s in your spirit. They may liquidate your company, but they can’t liquidate your spirit. God is able! Trust Him. Never find yourself apologetic, intimidated, or reluctant to express your convictions about Christ and the message of the Gospel. He’s greater than any government, institution or power. He’s the Monarch of the universe.

Therefore, stand your ground for Him in faith. Take a cue from Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

CONFESSION

The Word of God is in my spirit so strong; it’s as fire shut up in my bones and nothing can hinder the affirmation of my faith and my proclamation of the Gospel of Christ. I’m strengthened and energized by the Holy Spirit who lives in me, and He’s made me an absolute victor. Blessed be God!

Always Exercise Your Faith

“… 하나님께서 각 사람에게 나누어 주신 믿음의 분량대로 지혜롭게 생각하라”(롬 12:3)

오늘의 본문 구절에서 말하는 내용을 살펴보십시오. 하나님은 모든 사람에게 믿음의 분량을 주셨습니다. 하나님은 이미 그 일을 하셨습니다. 그분은 당신에게 “믿음의 분량”을 주셨습니다. 이는 우리 각자가 복음을 받았을 때 동일한 분량의 믿음을 받았다는 뜻입니다.

주 예수님에 따르면, 아주 작은 믿음으로도 불가능한 일들을 할 수 있습니다. “… 진실로 너희에게 이르노니 만일 너희에게 믿음이 겨자씨 한 알만큼만 있어도 이 산을 명하여 여기서 저기로 옮겨지라 하면 옮겨질 것이요 또 너희가 못할 것이 없으리라”(마 17:20) 믿음이란 무엇입니까? 성경은 믿음을 어떻게 정의합니까?

그 대답은 히브리서 11:1에 있습니다. “믿음은 [우리가] 바라는 것들의 보증(확증, 증서)이요 [우리가] 보지 못하는 것들의 증거니…”(확대번역본) 믿음은 어떻게 옵니까? 믿음은 말씀을 통해 옵니다. “그러므로 믿음은 들음에서 나며 들음은 그리스도의 말씀으로 말미암았느니라”(롬 10:17)

주님은 당신이 작은 믿음의 수준에 머물기를 원치 않으십니다. 하나님은 당신의 믿음이 자라고 강해지기를 원하십니다. 로마서 10:17은 우리에게 믿음이 하나님의 말씀을 들음에서 온다고 말해줍니다. 중요한 것은 “듣는 것”입니다. 즉, 당신의 영을 지속적으로 하나님의 말씀으로 폭격하는 것입니다. 그러나 당신의 믿음을 강하게 하고 효과적이게 하는 방법은 믿음을 행하는 것입니다. 말씀대로 행동하는 것입니다.

당신의 믿음은 행하지 않으면 약해집니다. 만일 하나님의 말씀을 계속 받으면서도 행하지 않는다면, 당신의 믿음은 약해질 것입니다. 약한 믿음은 사람을 흔들리게 합니다. 결과적으로 두려움에 사로잡혀 삶의 위기에 패배하게 됩니다. 약한 믿음에 대한 해결책은 말씀을 실천하는 것입니다. 말씀대로 행하는 것입니다.

하나님의 말씀을 더 많이 묵상하고 실천할수록, 당신의 믿음은 더욱 크고 강해집니다. 성경은 아브라함에 대해 이렇게 말합니다. “믿음이 없어 하나님의 약속을 의심하지 않고 믿음으로 견고하여져서 하나님께 영광을 돌리며”(롬 4:20) 작고 사소한 일에도 믿음을 사용하여 당신의 믿음을 강하게 세우십시오. 항상 당신의 믿음을 행하십시오. 말씀대로 행하고 당신의 믿음을 강하게 만드십시오.

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 내 믿음을 세워주고, 보이지 않는 것을 보게 하고, 불가능한 일들을 하게 하는 당신의 말씀에 감사드립니다. 내 믿음은 세상을 이긴 승리입니다. 그 믿음으로 나는 오직 건강, 번영, 승리, 가능성의 그림만 봅니다. 나는 말씀 안에 있는 믿음으로 그리스도 안에 있는 나의 유업을 활용하고, 복음의 충만한 축복 가운데 삽니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

ALWAYS EXERCISE YOUR FAITH

“…God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith” (Romans 12:3).

Observe what our opening verse says: God has given to every man the measure of faith. He’s already done it. He’s given you “the measure of faith.” This means each one of us was given the same measure of faith when we received the Gospel.

According to the Lord Jesus, with the smallest ounce of faith, you can do the impossible: “…verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Matthew 17:20). But what is faith? How does the Bible define faith?

The answer is in Hebrews 11:1. It says, “Now faith is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see…” (AMPC). How does faith come? It’s through the Word: “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17).

The Lord doesn’t want you to remain at the level of small faith; He wants your faith to grow and be strong. Romans 10:17 tells us that faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. The emphasis is on “hearing,” that is, the continued bombardment of your spirit with the Word of God. But the way to build your faith strong and make it effective is by exercising it; that is, acting on the Word.

Your faith will be weak if you don’t exercise it. If you keep receiving God’s Word and do nothing with it, your faith will be weak. Weak faith causes people to stagger, and as a result, fear grips them and they’re defeated by the crisis of life. However, the cure for weak faith is putting the Word to work; acting on the Word.

The more you meditate on God’s Word and put it to work, the greater, and stronger your faith. The Bible says about Abraham, “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God” (Romans 4:20). Build your faith strong by using it even in the seemingly small or simple matters of life. Exercise your faith all the time. Act on the Word, and build your faith strong.

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for your Word that builds my faith and causes me to see the invisible and do the impossible. My faith is the victory that overcomes the world, for with it, I see only pictures of health, prosperity, victory, and possibility. By faith in the Word, I consciously take advantage of my inheritance in Christ, walking in the fullness of the blessings of the Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

영광 중에 그리스도와 함께 높임을 받았습니다

Exalted With Him In Glory

“긍휼이 풍성하신 하나님이 우리를 사랑하신 그 큰 사랑을 인하여… 우리를 그리스도와 함께 살리셨고… 또 함께 일으키사 그리스도 예수 안에서 함께 하늘에 앉히시니”(엡 2:4-6)

그리스도와 함께 하늘에 앉혀졌다는 것은 당신이 권세, 통치, 능력의 가장 높은 위치로 높임을 받았다는 의미입니다. 에베소서 1:21은 그리스도 안에서 높아진 당신의 위치에 대해 더 많은 통찰을 선사합니다. 당신의 위치는 다음과 같습니다. “모든 통치와 권세와 능력과 주권과 이 세상뿐 아니라 오는 세상에 일컫는 모든 이름 위에 뛰어나게 하시고” 얼마나 대단한 말씀입니까!

주 예수님은 모든 종류의 영적 존재들보다 훨씬 위에 계십니다. 정사와 권세와 능력과 주권 위에, 그 어떤 이름보다 뛰어나십니다. 그리고 당신은 그분 안에 있습니다. 아버지께서 그분을 영광의 높은 곳에 두시며 만물을 그분의 발 아래 복종하게 하시고, 그분을 만물 위에 교회의 머리로 삼으셨습니다(엡 1:22-23).

교회는 그리스도의 몸입니다. 따라서 당신은 이 영광스러운 권세의 자리에 그분과 함께 앉아 있습니다. 당신은 영광 중에 그분과 함께 높임을 받았습니다. 누군가는 “너무 멀리 간 것 아닌가요? 우리 자신을 그렇게 높이 평가해야 하나요?”라고 말할 수도 있습니다. 당연히 그렇습니다! 우리가 요구한 것이 아닙니다. 하나님의 은혜와 사랑의 결과입니다. 오늘의 본문 구절을 다시 한번 읽어보십시오.

성경은 마땅히 생각할 그 이상으로 자신을 높게 생각하지 말라고 말합니다. “내게 주신 은혜로 말미암아 너희 각 사람에게 말하노니 마땅히 생각할 그 이상의 생각을 품지 말고…”(롬 12:3) 하나님은 당신이 스스로를 높게 생각하기를 원하시지만, 마땅히 생각해야 할 것보다 더 높게 생각하지 않기를 원하십니다.

즉, 그리스도 안에 있는 형제자매보다 당신이 더 높다고 생각하지 마십시오. 우리 모두 그리스도 안에서 이 높은 자리에 함께 앉아있기 때문입니다. 우리는 모두 하나님께 평등하고 가치 있는 존재입니다. 우리는 선택받은 자이며, 하나님의 왕족이고, 독특한 존재입니다.

이에 대해 바울이 에베소서 2:6에서 어떻게 묘사하는지 보십시오. “그리스도 예수 (메시아, 기름부은 받은 분) 안에서 [우리의 존재로 말미암아] 그분과 함께 일으키고 하늘에 함께 앉히시니 [그분과 함께 앉는 공동 좌석을 주시니]”(확대번역본) 할렐루야! 어떻게 이 말씀을 읽고 자신에 대해 높이 여기지 않을 수 있습니까? 당신은 영광 중에 그분과 함께 높여졌습니다. 그곳은 하늘에 있는 공동 좌석입니다.

고백

나는 그리스도와 함께 앉아 있으며 모든 정사와 권세와 능력과 주권과 모든 이름 위에, 그리고 이 세상 뿐만 아니라 오는 세상에서 일컬을 모든 이름 위에 뛰어납니다! 나는 영광 중에 그리스도와 함께 높임을 받았습니다. 나는 내가 누구인지 압니다. 나는 선택받은 자이며, 왕족이고, 독특한 존재입니다!

EXALTED WITH HIM IN GLORY

“But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us… hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:4-6).

To be seated with Christ in the heavenly realms means you’ve been exalted to the highest position of authority, dominion and power. Ephesians 1:21 gives further insight into your exalted position in Christ. It describes where you are as, “Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named….” How profound this is!

The Lord Jesus has been set far above all the different classes of spiritual beings: principalities, powers, might or thrones, dominions and every name that is named, and you’re in Him. The Father set Him in this high place of glory, placed all things under His feet, and legally declared Him to be the head over all things for the benefit of the Church (Ephesians 1:22-23).

The Church is His body; therefore, you’re seated with Him in this glorious place of authority. You’re elevated with Him in glory. Someone might say, “Isn’t that going too far? Should we really think so highly of ourselves?” Emphatically yes! We didn’t ask for it; it’s the result of His grace and love. Read our opening scripture again.

What the Bible says is that you shouldn’t think of yourself more highly than you ought to think: “For I say,…to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think… (Romans 12:3). God wants you to think highly of yourself, but not more highly than you ought to think.

In other words, don’t think you’re higher than your fellow brothers or sisters in Christ, because we’re all together in this exalted place in Christ. We’re all equal and valuable to God. We’re chosen, royal and peculiar.

See how Paul describes it in Ephesians 2:6 AMPC: “And He raised us up together with Him and made us sit down together [giving us joint seating with Him] in the heavenly sphere [by virtue of our being] in Christ Jesus (the Messiah, the Anointed One).” Hallelujah! How could you read this and not think highly of yourself? You’re exalted with Him in glory; it’s a joint seating in the heavenly sphere.

CONFESSION

I’m seated with Christ, far above all principality, power, might, dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come! I’m exalted with Him in glory; I know who I am: chosen, royal, and peculiar!

우리는 어둠의 왕국에 있는 주요한 영적 인물들에 대항하여 행동할 권세를 받았습니다. 예수님은 “믿는 자들에게는 이런 표적이 따르리니 곧 그들이 내 이름으로 귀신을 쫓아내며…”(막 16:17)라고 말씀하셨습니다. 그리고 마태복음 18:18에서는 다음과 같이 말씀하셨습니다. “… 무엇이든지 너희가 땅에서 매면 하늘에서도 매일 것이요 무엇이든지 땅에서 풀면 하늘에서도 풀리리라”

그리고 주님은 오늘의 본문 구절에서 이렇게 말씀하십니다. “그들의 왕들을 사슬로 묶고 그들의 귀족들에게 쇠고랑을 채우며 그들을 위해 기록된 형벌을 시행하게 하라. 이것이 그의 모든 성도들의 영광이다. 너희는 여호와를 찬양하라.” 세상의 법원에서 범죄자에 대한 판결을 내릴 때 판사가 하는 일은 판결문을 읽어 주고 가는 것뿐입니다. 그러나 경찰은 그 판결문의 사본을 받아 이를 집행하기 위한 조치를 취합니다. 경찰은 범죄자를 체포하고 감옥에 가둡니다.

이제 영적인 영역에서 하나님의 성도들인 우리는 정사와 권세, 즉 “악의 왕들과 귀인들”에 대해 기록된 심판을 집행하도록 부르심을 받고 권세를 받은 자들입니다. 성경은 “그의 모든 성도에게 있도다”라고 말합니다. “그의 성도 중 몇 사람” 혹은 “오직 사도들과 전도자들만”이라고 말하지 않고 “그의 모든 성도”라고 말합니다. 할렐루야!

하나님께 반역한 자들에 대해 기록된 판결을 어떻게 집행합니까? 시편 기자는 우리에게 그 방법을 알려줍니다. “나 이제 주님께서 내리신 칙령을 선포한다…”(시 2:7, 새번역) 판결을 선포해야 합니다! 그래서 당신은 오늘날 우리 세상을 망치려고 하는 이 악한 영적 세력에 대해 어떤 판결이 내려졌는지 알아야 합니다.

판결 중 하나는 다음과 같이 말합니다. “이러므로 하나님이 그를 지극히 높여 모든 이름 위에 뛰어난 이름을 주사 하늘에 있는 자들과 땅에 있는 자들과 땅 아래에 있는 자들로 모든 무릎을 예수의 이름에 꿇게 하시고”(빌 2:9-10) 이것은 전능하신 하나님의 판결입니다! 이제 이 판결을 이 땅에 집행할 사람은 바로 당신입니다.

당신은 자신의 가정, 가족, 학교, 지역 사회, 동네, 나라에서 예수 이름으로 다스리는 사람입니다. 마귀에게 틈을 주지 마십시오! 예수 이름으로 세상을 다스리십시오. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

AFFIRM THE “DECREE”

“To bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD” (Psalm 149:8-9).

We’ve been authorized to take action against the chief spiritual personalities in the kingdom of darkness. Jesus said: “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils…” (Mark 16:17), and He also asserted in Matthew 18:18, “…Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”

Then He tells us in our theme verse to “…bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; To execute upon them the judgment written: this honour have all his saints. Praise ye the LORD.” In the physical world, when the court has decided the case against a criminal, all that the judge does is read out his written judgment and go his way. But then the police take a copy of that judgment and go into action to execute it; they arrest the fellow and put him behind bars.

Now, in the realm of the spirit, we, the saints of God, are the ones called and authorized to execute the judgment that’s been written against principalities and powers, the “kings and nobles of evil.” The Bible says, “…this honour have all his saints.” It doesn’t say, “some of His saints” or “the apostles and evangelists only,” but “ALL His saints.” Hallelujah!

How do you execute the judgment that’s been written against these rebel holders-of-authority? The Psalmist tells us how; he says, “I will declare the decree…” (Psalm 2:7). You’ve got to declare the decree! But you need to know what decrees have been issued against these evil spiritual forces that are trying to run rampage in our world today.

One of the decrees says, “That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father” (Philippians 2:9-10). This is a decree of Almighty God! Now, you’re the one to enforce this decree in the earth.

You’re the one to rule with the Name of Jesus in your world: in your home, your family, your school, your community, your streets, and your country. Give no place to the devil! Rule your world with the Name of Jesus. Glory to God!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the power vested in the Name of Jesus and for giving me the power of attorney to use that Name. Now I speak to the demons of evil and darkness that cause chaos and violence in my city and nation, I break your power over the people; I command you to cease from your operations and maneuvers over them in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ! Amen.

Understanding God’s Timing

“예수께서 이르시되 내 때는 아직 이르지 아니하였거니와 너희 때는 늘 준비되어 있느니라”(요 7:6)

오늘의 본문 구절에서 주 예수님은 시간에 대한 인식과 신성한 혹은 예언적 시기에 대한 중요성을 강조하셨습니다. 탄생부터 승천까지 예수님께 일어난 일들에 대한 예언적 계시들을 살펴보면, 모든 일들이 선지자들이 예언한 대로 정확하게 일어난 것을 알 수 있습니다.

우리는 시간을 초월한 왕국에 속했지만, 시간 관념이 있는 왕국에 살고 있습니다. 예수님은 “나는 위에서 났다”(요 8:23)고 말씀하셨습니다. 그분은 영원으로부터 오셨지만, 이 세상의 일들을 다루실 때는 시간을 인식하셨습니다. 우리는 자신이 살고 있는 때를 알아야 합니다. 우리가 하나님의 달력에서 어디에 있는지, 무엇을 해야 하는지, 무엇을 기대해야 하는지 알아야 합니다.

그렇다면 이어질 질문은 ‘어떻게 당신의 삶 혹은 열방에 대한 하나님의 때를 아는가’입니다. 일어나야 하는 일이나 우리가 기대해야 하는 일에 대해 어떻게 알 수 있습니까? 답은 성경, 하나님의 말씀 안에 있습니다! 말씀은 진리의 절대적인 원천입니다.

말씀을 부지런히 공부함으로써 당신은 하나님의 시간표에 자신을 맞추며, 목적과 의미가 있고 만족스러운 삶을 살 수 있습니다. 예를 들어, 지금이 하나님께서 당신과 열방에게 은혜를 베풀기로 정하신 때라는 것을 알고 있습니까? 성경은 우리가 그분의 은혜의 때에 있음을 알려줍니다. 시편 102:13은 “주께서 일어나사 시온을 긍휼히 여기시리니 지금은 그에게 은혜를 베푸실 때라 정한 기한이 다가옴이니이다”라고 말합니다.

바울은 고린도후서 6:2에서 오늘날 열방에 적용할 수 있는 이스라엘을 향한 하나님의 예언적 말씀에 대해 말합니다. “이르시되 내가 은혜 베풀 때에 너에게 듣고 구원의 날에 너를 도왔다 하셨으니 보라 지금은 은혜 받을 만한 때요 보라 지금은 구원의 날이로다”

지금은 하나님의 은혜의 때입니다. 우리는 이것을 인식하고 행동해야 합니다. 기회의 때이자 구원의 때입니다. 사도 바울은 이 때를 은혜 받을 때라고 했습니다. 즉, 하나님이 사람들을 용납하시고, 받아 주시고, 도우시는 때입니다.

열방은 바로 지금 하나님의 자비와 호의의 때에 있습니다. 이는 우리가 이 기회를 활용하여 모든 사람과 열방의 지도자들을 위해 기도할 수 있다는 것을 의미합니다. 우리가 기도하면 하나님은 응답하시기 때문입니다. 할렐루야!

UNDERSTANDING GOD’S TIMING

“Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is always ready” (John 7:6).

In the verse above, the Lord Jesus emphasized time consciousness and the significance of divine and prophetic timing. When you look at the prophetic revelation of the things that happened with Jesus, from His birth to His ascension, everything unfolded precisely as the prophets had foretold.

We live in a time-conscious Kingdom even though we belong in a timeless Kingdom. Jesus said, “I’m from above” (John 8:23). He was from eternity, but in dealing with things of this world, He was time conscious. We have to know the time in which we’re living; where we are in God’s calendar, what we should do, and what we should expect.

The question then is, how do you know God’s timing for your life or for the nations? How do you know things that should happen, or what we should expect? The answers are in the Scriptures—God’s Word! That’s the absolute source of truth.

Through the diligent study of the Word, you can align yourself with God’s timing and live a purposeful, meaningful and fulfilling life. For example, did you know that this is God’s set time to favour you, and also the nations? The Scripture lets us know that we’re in His set time of favour. Psalms 102:13 says, “Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.”

Then in 2 Corinthians 6:2 NKJV, Paul reiterates God’s prophetic word to Israel which is applicable to the nations today: “For He says: In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you. Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”

This is the day of God’s favour, and we have to recognize it and act. It’s a day of opportunity; the day of salvation. The Apostle Paul called it the acceptable time. In other words, this is the day in which God accepts men, receives men, and helps men.

The nations are also right now in the day of God’s mercy and favour, meaning that we can take advantage of this opportunity and pray for all men and leaders of nations, because if we’d pray, God will answer. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, thank you for the wisdom and guidance I receive from your Word. I have an understanding of the times; I have clarity and understanding of your purpose and timing and I’m walking in sync with the Spirit to fulfil my destiny in Christ, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

영적 죽음으로부터 태어났습니다

Born From Spiritual Death

“그는 몸인 교회의 머리시라 그가 근본이시요 죽은 자들 가운데서 먼저 나신 이시니 이는 친히 만물의 으뜸이 되려 하심이요”(골 1:18)

많은 사람들이 밑줄 친 부분을 죽은 자 가운데서 첫 번째로 살아난다는 의미로 오해합니다. 예수님의 대속적인 죽음 전에도 죽음으로부터 살아난 사람들이 있었습니다. 따라서 사도 바울이 성령으로 말미암아 말하는 내용은 그 오해와 다릅니다. 십자가에서 예수님이 우리 죄를 담당하셨을 때, 그분은 영적으로 죽으셨습니다. 영적 죽음은 하나님으로부터 분리되는 것입니다. 오직 영적 거듭남을 통해서만 영적 죽음으로부터 일어날 수 있습니다. 그러므로 예수 그리스도는 영적 죽음으로부터 태어난 첫 번째 분이십니다.

예수님은 십자가에 달리시면서 아버지와 분리되는 고통을 겪으셨습니다. “제구시에 예수께서 크게 소리 지르시되 엘리 엘리 라마 사박다니 하시니 이를 번역하면 나의 하나님, 나의 하나님 어찌하여 나를 버리셨나이까 하는 뜻이라”(막 15:34) 이는 예수님이 자동적으로 죄와 동일시되는 속죄 제물이 되신 결과였습니다. 고린도후서 5:21은 말합니다. “하나님이 죄를 알지도 못하신 이를 우리를 대신하여 죄로 삼으신 것은 우리로 하여금 그 안에서 하나님의 의가 되게 하려 하심이라”

예수님이 십자가에 못 박혀 지옥에 보내지는 것은 불법이어야 했습니다. 그분은 순결하시고 죄가 없으셨기 때문입니다. 그러나 예수님은 우리를 대신해서 가셨습니다. 골로새서 2:15에서 예수님이 지옥에서 사탄과 맞서 싸우시고, 사탄과 그의 어둠의 졸개들을 이기신 장면에 대한 묘사를 보십시오. “통치자들과 권세들을 무력화하여 드러내어 구경거리로 삼으시고 십자가로 그들을 이기셨느니라”(골 2:15)

아무도 영적 죽음이나 사탄의 속박에서 나오지 못했지만, 예수님은 해내셨습니다. 예수님은 모든 사람을 위한 값을 다 치르셨습니다. 의로우신 분이 죄인들을 위해 내줌이 되셔서 죄인들이 그분의 의를 받을 수 있고 그것이 합법적이게 되었습니다. 우리가 그분의 의를 받도록 그분은 우리 죄를 담당하셨습니다.

이제 예수님은 당신을 그분의 의의 표현으로 삼으셨습니다. 그분이 입으신 의는 이제 당신에게 가능케 되었습니다. 그분이 당신을 위해 죽으셨고, 죽음에서 나오실 때 당신도 그분 안에서, 그분과 함께 나왔기 때문입니다. 이제 당신도 그분과 같이 새 생명으로 태어났습니다. “그러므로 우리가 그의 죽으심과 합하여 세례를 받음으로 그와 함께 장사되었나니 이는 아버지의 영광으로 말미암아 그리스도를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리심과 같이 우리로 또한 새 생명 가운데서 행하게 하려 함이라”(롬 6:4) 할렐루야!

사랑하는 아버지, 나를 대신하여 예수님이 속죄 제물이 되신 것에 감사드립니다. 나를 의롭게 하고 내가 당신의 의의 표현이 되도록 예수님께서 죄가 되시고 나를 대신하여 죽으셨습니다. 나는 오늘 당신의 의 안에서 행하고 당신의 의를 나타냅니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

BORN FROM SPIRITUAL DEATH

“And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence” (Colossians 1:18).

Many misunderstand the underlined phrase above, thinking that it means the first to be raised from the dead. Prior to Jesus’ vicarious death, there were those who had been raised from the dead. So what the Apostle Paul communicates by the Spirit here, is different. When our sins were laid on Jesus on the Cross, He died spiritually. Spiritual death is separation from God. Only through a spiritual rebirth does one awake from spiritual death. Jesus Christ was thus the first born from spiritual death.

As Jesus hung on the Cross, He suffered the agony of being separated from the Father: “And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Mark 15:34). This was a result of His being made the sin sacrifice, which automatically identified with sin. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.”

It should have been illegal for Jesus to be crucified and sent to hell, because He was innocent and without sin, but He went in our place. Recall the graphic details in Colossians 2:15 when He engaged Satan in that awful combat in hell, and defeated him and all his cohorts of darkness: “And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.”

No one ever came out of spiritual death or out of Satan’s bondage, but Jesus did. He paid the full penalty for every man. Thus, because a righteous man was given for sinners, it became legal, and possible, for sinners to be given His righteousness. He took our place of sin, that we might obtain His righteousness.

Now, He has made you the very expression of His righteousness. The righteousness that He was clothed with was made available to you, because He died for you, and when He came out of death, you came out in and with Him. Now, like Him, you’ve been born into a newness of life: “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4). Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I thank you for the vicarious sacrifice of Jesus in my behalf, who became the very representation of sin and died in my place, so that I might be made righteous, and also become the expression of your righteousness. I walk in, and manifest your righteousness, today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

A Fresh Kind Of A New Breed

“그런즉 누구든지 그리스도 안에 있으면 새로운 피조물이라 이전 것은 지나갔으니 보라 새 것이 되었도다”(고후 5:17)

오늘의 본문 구절을 있는 그대로 헬라어로 번역한다면 “누구든지 그리스도 안에 있다면 그는 새로운 종이다!”입니다. 이제 막 시작된 새로운 생명만을 말하는 것이 아니라, 새로운 종류임을 뜻하기도 합니다. 즉, 거듭난 사람은 새로운 종, 새로운 유형의 사람이라는 의미입니다.

당신은 그저 같은 종류의 새로운 사람이 아닙니다. 당신은 이전에 존재하지 않았던 새로운 종류의 존재입니다. 당신은 새로운 종류의 새로운 사람입니다. 할렐루야! 주 예수님은 하나님과 같은 종류의 특별한 부류 가운데 처음 나신 분이십니다. 그분은 마지막 아담이십니다. 고린도전서 15:45-49을 공부해보면, 우리 모두가 아담의 형상을 따라 태어났다는 것을 알 수 있습니다.[혹은 둘째 사람(47절)]

성경은 말합니다. “… 그리스도를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리심과 같이 우리로 또한 새 생명 가운데서 행하게 하려 함이라”(롬 6:4) 당신은 새 생명을 받았고, 그 생명은 하나님의 생명입니다. 이것은 그리스도인이 어떤 자인지에 대한 요약된 설명입니다. 당신의 육신은 그대로이지만, 진짜 당신인 영은 신성한 생명으로 거듭났습니다.

이 새 생명은 영생이므로 인간 생명보다 훨씬 높은 수준의 생명입니다. 이 새로운 사람은 사탄에게 굴복하지 않으며, 어떤 억압으로부터 구출될 필요도 없습니다. 그는 억압될 수 없습니다! 세상은 우리와 같은 유형의 존재를 본 적이 없습니다. 그러므로 세상은 우리가 정말 어떤 존재인지 알 길이 없습니다.

이는 예수님이 요한복음 3:8에서 거듭난 사람에 대해 말씀하신 내용을 떠올리게 합니다. “바람이 임의로 불매 네가 그 소리는 들어도 어디서 와서 어디로 가는지 알지 못하나니 성령으로 난 사람도 다 그러하니라” 우리는 신성한 본성에 참여한 자들이며 하나님과 같은 종류의 존재입니다(벧후 1:4). 우리는 이 삶에서 통치하고 다스리기 위해 하나님으로부터 영원한 생명으로 태어난 자들입니다. 이 진리를 받아들이고, 그것을 인식하며 행하십시오.

고백

나는 새로운 피조물입니다. 나는 특별한 종류의 생명을 가지고 있으며, 그 생명은 인간, 동물, 식물의 생명과는 종류도 수준도 다릅니다. 이것은 하나님의 생명입니다! 나는 마귀와 그 무리들 위에 살고 있으며 이 세상의 초등학문 위에 삽니다. 나는 내 삶을 다스리고 통치하도록 영생을 가지고 하나님으로부터 태어났습니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

A FRESH KIND OF A NEW BREED

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).

The Greek rendering of the verse above actually reads, “If any man be in Christ, he is a new species of being!” This isn’t just referring to a new life that’s just begun, but also refers to newness in type. This means the one who’s born again is a new type of man, a new species.

You’re not just a fresh one of the same kind; rather, you’re one of a kind that never existed before. You’re a fresh kind of a new breed of man. Hallelujah! The Lord Jesus is the first among this special class of associates of the God-kind. He’s the last Adam, and when you study 1 Corinthians 15:45-49, the Bible lets us know that we all have been born after the similitude of the last Adam, (or second man -vs 47).

The Bible says, “…like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4). You received a newness of life and it’s the God-life. This is the summary of the message of who the Christian is. Though your physical body remains the same, your spirit, which is the real you, is born anew with the divine life.

This new life is higher in quality than the human life because it’s eternal life. This new type of man isn’t subject to Satan, neither does he need deliverance from any oppression. He can’t be oppressed! This world hasn’t seen our type before. That’s why they can’t figure out who we really are.

It reminds of what Jesus said in John 3:8 about the one who’s born of again: “The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.” We’re partakers of the divine nature—comrades of the God-kind (2 Peter 1:4); born of God, born with eternal life, to rule and reign in this life. Brace up to this truth and walk in this consciousness.

CONFESSION

I’m a new creature; I have a special kind of life – different in type and quality from the human, animal, or plant life; it is the God-life! I live above the devil and his cohorts and above the rudiments of this world. I’m born of God, born with eternal life, to rule and reign in this life! Glory to God!

하나님의 말씀은 우리를 하나님의 왕국의 일들로 이끌고, 인도하고, 가르치고, 훈련시킵니다. 그러나 말씀에 대해 더 중요한 사실은 하나님이 우리를 보시는 방식으로 스스로를 볼 수 있도록 하기 위해 말씀을 주셨다는 것입니다. 하나님의 말씀은 거울이기 때문입니다(고후 3:18).

당신이 하나님의 거울을 들여다볼 때, 하나님이 당신에 대해 가지고 계신 그림과 생각을 볼 수 있습니다. 하나님은 당신이 자신에 대한 정확한 그림을 지속적으로 가져가기 원하십니다. 그러면 당신은 자신이 어떤 존재인지 볼 수 있고, 그에 맞게 행동할 수 있습니다.

야고보서 1:22-25(한글흠정역)은 위와 동일한 중요하고 교훈적인 진리를 알려줍니다. “오직 너희는 말씀을 행하는 자가 되고 듣기만 하여 너희 자신을 속이는 자가 되지 말라. 말씀을 듣고 행하지 아니하는 자는 거울로 자기의 본래 얼굴을 들여다보는 사람과 같으니라. 그는 자기를 바라보고 자기 길로 가서 자기가 어떤 사람인지 곧 잊어버리거니와 누구든지 자유롭게 하는 완전한 법을 들여다보며 그 안에 거하는 자는 듣고 잊어버리는 자가 아니요, 그 일을 행하는 자니 이 사람은 자기가 행하는 일에서 복을 받으리라.”

말씀을 행하지 않는 사람은 “그가 어떻게 생겼는지”를 잊어버린다고 말하지 않고, 오히려 “그가 어떤 사람이었는지”를 잊는다고 말합니다. 다른 말로 하자면, 그는 자신이 어떤 “종류” 혹은 “유형”의 사람인지를 잊는 것입니다. 하나님의 거울인 하나님의 말씀은 당신의 외모만 보여주는 것이 아니라 당신이 어떤 “종류”인지 보여줍니다.

하나님의 말씀은 당신이 하나님의 종류에 속하며, 당신이 가진 생명이 하나님과 같은 종류의 생명임을 보여줍니다. 할렐루야! 당신이 해야 할 일은 하나님의 거울을 계속해서 변함없이 바라보고 자신이 누구인지 잊지 않는 것입니다.

고린도후서 3:18은 말합니다. “우리가 다 수건을 벗은 얼굴로 거울을 보는 것 같이 주의 영광을 보매 그와 같은 형상으로 변화하여 영광에서 영광에 이르니 곧 주의 영으로 말미암음이니라” 여기서 “보다”는 신중하게 고려한다, 시선이나 생각을 고정한다는 뜻의 헬라어 “카타노에오(katanoeo)”에서 번역되었습니다. 하나님의 말씀 안에서 바라보게 되는 자신의 형상을 신중하게 고려하고 그것에 생각을 고정할 때, 당신은 신성한 영광, 아름다움, 탁월함의 형상으로 변모됩니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

고백

나는 새로운 피조물이며 이전에 존재한 적이 없고 세상의 토대에 대해 죽은 새로운 종류의 존재입니다. 나는 말씀 안에서 본 신성한 영광, 아름다움, 탁월함의 형상으로 지속적으로 변모됩니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!

DON’T FORGET WHAT SPECIES YOU ARE

“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).

God’s Word has been given to us to lead, guide, instruct and train us in the things of the Kingdom of God. But even more importantly, God gave us His Word to enable us see ourselves the way He sees us. That’s because His Word is a mirror (2 Corinthians 3:18).

When you look into the mirror of God, you see the image that God has of you and what He thinks of you. He wants you to have and retain that exact image of yourself, so you can see who you are and act accordingly.

James 1:22-25 communicates the same important and instructive truth. It says, “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

It’s quite enlightening that it doesn’t say that the man who isn’t a doer of the Word forgets “what he looked like.” Rather, it says he forgets “what manner of man he was.” In other words, he forgets the “kind” or “type” of man that he saw. God’s mirror—His Word—doesn’t only show you your appearance; it shows you your “kind” or “species.”

God’s Word shows you that you’re in God’s class of being, and the life you have is the God-kind of life. Hallelujah! Your part is to keep looking steadfastly into God’s mirror and don’t forget what you look like; who you are.

2 Corinthians 3:18 says, “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.” The word “beholding” is translated from the Greek, “katanoeō” which means to consider attentively; to fix one’s eyes or mind upon. As you consider attentively and fix your mind on the image of you that you see in God’s Word, you’re transformed into the same image of divine glory, beauty and excellence. Glory to God!

CONFESSION

I’m a new creation; a new species of being that never existed before—dead to the rudiments of the world! I’m constantly transformed into the same image of divine glory, beauty and excellence that I see in the Word. Blessed be God!

Righteous Use Of Your Finances

“그런즉 너희는 먼저 그의 나라와 그의 의를 구하라 그리하면 이 모든 것을 너희에게 더하시리라”(마 6:33)

당신이 현재 당신의 재정으로 특히 하나님과 관련된 일들, 곧 복음 전파와 왕국의 발전을 위해 어떤 일을 하고 있는지가 당신의 재정이 백 배로 증가될 때 무슨 일들을 할 지 보여줍니다.

누군가는 “10억만 벌면 하나님의 왕국의 큰 재정 파트너가 될 거야!”라고 생각할 수 있습니다. 그렇다면 남은 질문은 ‘당신이 자신에게 맡겨진 작은 재정에 충실했는가?’입니다. 당신은 자신에게 맡겨진 작은 재정을 복음에 심었습니까?

예수님은 누가복음 16:10에서 세상에 있는 소유물을 관리하는 일에서의 신실함과 정직의 원리를 강조하셨습니다. “지극히 작은 것에 충성된 자는 큰 것에도 충성되고 지극히 작은 것에 불의한 자는 큰 것에도 불의하니라 너희가 만일 불의한 재물(부정직한 부, 돈, 소유물)에도 충성하지 아니하면 누가 참된 것(부, 재물)으로 너희에게 맡기겠느냐”(눅 16:10-11)

돈은 증폭기입니다. 돈은 사람의 성품을 드러내고, 증폭하고, 확대하는 독특한 능력을 가지고 있습니다. 당신이 오늘 돈으로 하는 모든 행동과 결정은 당신의 성품에 대한 증거이며, 그 기본적인 성품은 당신의 재정이 증가한다고 해서 바뀌지 않을 것입니다. 당신이 지금까지 해왔던 일을 더 많이 하게 될 뿐입니다.

이미 돈을 부정적인 방식으로 사용하는 사람들의 경우 더 많은 재정을 가지면 부정적인 행동이 증폭될 뿐입니다. 반대로 돈을 의로운 목적으로 사용하고, 복음에 심고, 왕국을 발전시키는 일에 돈을 사용하고 있다면 더 많은 돈을 가지게 될수록 그 선한 행동들이 증폭될 것입니다.

그렇기 때문에 지금 당신이 재정에 대해 어떤 행동을 취하고 있는지 점검해야 합니다. 당신의 행동이 하나님의 말씀의 원칙들과 일치합니까? 하나님은 그분의 의로운 목적에 헌신하는 사람들의 재정을 증가시키기를 기뻐하십니다. 당신이 주님과 그분의 왕국을 섬기는 일을 우선시할 때, 돈에 대한 당신의 행동은 신실함의 증거가 됩니다. 이는 당신이 소유한 돈의 양에 대한 것이 아니라, 오히려 하나님의 목적에 당신의 심령과 의도가 맞춰져 있는지에 대한 것입니다.

당신은 지속적으로 예수 그리스도의 복음을 우선시하고 그분의 왕국을 그 무엇보다 먼저 구함으로써 하나님의 공급하심과 자신의 재정의 증가를 경험하는 위치에 있게 됩니다. 할렐루야!

기도

사랑하는 아버지, 나는 당신께서 내게 맡기신 모든 것에 신실한 청지기임을 선포하며, 당신께 영광을 드리고 당신을 영화롭게 하는 방식으로 나의 재정을 사용합니다. 재정과 관련된 나의 성품은 의에 뿌리를 내리고 있습니다. 나는 후하게 주며, 축복의 씨앗들을 심고, 왕국의 발전과 번영에 헌신합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

RIGHTEOUS USE OF YOUR FINANCES

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33).

Whatever you are currently doing with your finances, especially in relation to God, to the propagation of the Gospel, and the advancement of the kingdom, is a reflection of what you would do if your finances were multiplied a hundred times.

Someone might think, “Only if I could get a million dollars, I’ll be a big financier of the Kingdom of God!” The question is, have you been faithful with the little committed to you? Have you put that little in your trust, into the Gospel?

The Lord Jesus, in Luke 16:10, emphasizes the principle of faithfulness and integrity in managing worldly possessions when He said, “He who is faithful in a very little [thing] is faithful also in much, and he who is dishonest and unjust in a very little [thing] is dishonest and unjust also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the [case of] unrighteous mammon (deceitful riches, money, possessions), who will entrust to you the true riches?” (Luke 16:10-11 AMPC).

Money is an amplifier; it has the unique ability to amplify, magnify or reveal one’s character. Every action and decision you make with your money today is a testament to your character, and this fundamental aspect of your character will not change when your financial resources are increased. You will simply do more of what you have been doing.

For people who already use their money in negative ways, having more financial resources will only amplify those negative actions. Conversely, if you’re using your money for righteous purposes, seeding the Gospel, and advancing the Kingdom, having more money will amplify those good actions.

That’s why you need to examine your current financial behaviours; do they align with the principles of God’s Word? God is pleased to multiply the finances of those who are committed to His righteous cause. When you prioritize serving the Lord and His Kingdom, your actions with money become a testament of faithfulness. It is not about the amount of money you possess, but rather the alignment of your heart and intentions with God’s purposes.

By consistently prioritizing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and seeking His Kingdom above all else, you position yourself to experience God’s provisions and the multiplication of your resources. Hallelujah!

PRAYER

Dear Father, I declare that I am a faithful steward of all that you have entrusted to me, and I use my finances in ways that honour and glorify you. My financial character is rooted in righteousness. I give generously, sowing seeds of blessing, and committed to the prosperity and advancement of the Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
