He Died To Give Us A New Life
“우리가 알거니와 우리의 옛 사람이 예수와 함께 십자가에 못 박힌 것은 죄의 몸이 죽어 다시는 우리가 죄에게 종 노릇 하지 아니하려 함이니” (롬 6:6)
주 예수님은 우리에게 종교를 주시기 위해 오신 것이 아닙니다. 그분은 우리에게 생명, 곧 하나님의 생명을 주시기 위해 오셨습니다! 그분은 우리를 하나님의 아들로 삼기 위해 모든 것을 포기하셨고, 심지어 그분의 생명까지 포기하셨습니다. 그분의 희생의 크기를 진정으로 이해한다면 당신의 인생에 대한 관점이 바뀔 것입니다. 그분의 죽음, 장사됨, 부활이 우리에게 죄, 질병, 가난, 죽음으로부터 자유로운 영원한 생명을 주었다는 것을 알게 된다면 당신은 날마다 승리하며 살 것입니다.
예수 그리스도의 대속적인 희생은 상징적인 것이 아니었습니다. 그것은 실재였고, 우리에게 주어진 자유도 실재입니다. 그분의 부활은 죽음과 모든 형태의 억압에 대한 우리의 승리를 보장했습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “이는 그리스도께서 죽은 자 가운데서 살아나셨으매 다시는 죽지 아니하시고 사망이 다시 그를 주장하지 못할 줄을 앎이로라”(롬 6:9) 그리고 당신은 어떤 상태인지 아십니까? 사망은 당신을 주장할 수 없습니다. 당신이 그리스도 안에 있기 때문입니다.
예수님은 그분의 죽음, 장사됨, 부활을 통해 당신에게 그분의 본성을 주셨습니다. 이제 당신은 하나님께 살아 있습니다! 당신은 단지 용서받은 것이 아닙니다. 당신은 재창조되었고, 그리스도 안에서 하나님의 의가 되었습니다. 이것이 당신이 “나는 절대 아프지 않을 것입니다! 나는 절대 가난하지 않을 것입니다!”라고 담대하게 선포할 수 있는 이유입니다. 이것은 공허한 고백이 아닙니다. 우리가 그리스도 안에서 받은 생명의 실재입니다.
그러므로 성경이 말하는 바와 같이 그리스도를 통해 생명 안에서 왕 노릇 하십시오. “한 사람의 범죄로 말미암아 사망이 그 한 사람을 통하여 왕 노릇 하였은즉 더욱 은혜와 의의 선물을 넘치게 받는 자들은 한 분 예수 그리스도를 통하여 생명 안에서 왕 노릇 하리로다”(롬 5:17) 왕 노릇하려고 애쓰지 마십시오. 당신은 이미 그리스도 안에서 다스리는 왕이 되었습니다! 옛 본성은 죽었고, 새로운 당신은 하나님의 생명으로 살아 있습니다.
사도 바울은 우리에게 말합니다. “이와 같이 너희도 너희 자신을 죄에 대하여는 죽은 자요 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나님께 대하여는 살아 있는 자로 여길지어다”(롬 6:11) 이 의식으로 사십시오. 당신은 죄인이 아닙니다. 당신은 그리스도 안에서 하나님의 의입니다. 당신은 승리를 얻으려고 애쓰는 패배자가 아닙니다. 당신은 그리스도 예수로 말미암아 생명 안에서 다스리는 승리자입니다! 할렐루야!
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 나를 의롭고 승리하게 하시고, 하나님께 살아있게 하시며, 죄와 질병과 가난과 원수의 모든 압제에서 자유하게 하신 그리스도께서 성취하신 사역에 감사드립니다. 나는 그리스도의 생명의 충만함 가운데 살며 어디서나 하나님의 영광을 나타냅니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

HE DIED TO GIVE US A NEW LIFE
“Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin” (Romans 6:6).
The Lord Jesus didn’t come to give us a religion; He came to give us life—the God-life! He gave up everything, even His own life, to make us sons of God. When you truly understand the magnitude of His sacrifice, it’ll transform your outlook on life. You’d live victoriously every day, knowing that His death, burial and resurrection brought us life everlasting—free from sin, sickness, poverty, and death.
The vicarious sacrifice of Jesus Christ wasn’t symbolic; it was a reality, and so is the freedom it brought to us. His resurrection secured our victory over death and every form of oppression. The Bible says, “Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him” (Romans 6:9). And guess what? Death has no dominion over you either because you’re in Him.
Through His death, burial, and resurrection, Jesus gave you His very nature. You’re now alive unto God! You’re not just forgiven; you’re recreated, made the righteousness of God in Christ. This is why you can boldly declare, “I’ll never be sick in my life! I’ll never be broke in my life!” These aren’t empty confessions; they’re realities of the life we’ve received in Christ.
So, reign in life through Christ as the Bible says: “For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:17). Stop “trying” to make it; you’ve already made it in Christ! The old nature is dead, and the new you is alive with the life of God.
The Apostle Paul tells us, “Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:11). Live with this consciousness. You’re not a sinner; you’re the righteousness of God in Christ. You’re not the defeated trying to get victory; you’re the victor, reigning in life through Christ Jesus! Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the finished work of Christ, which has made me righteous, victorious, and alive unto you, free from sin, sickness, poverty, and every oppression of the enemy. I live in the fullness of the life of Christ, manifesting your glory everywhere, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
