Keep A Diary Of Souls

우리는 어제 말씀의 실천을 통해 확실한 전도의 중요성에 대해 살펴보았습니다. 오직 확실한 전도만이 당신으로 하여금 기록을 남기게 합니다. 당신이 누군가를 그리스도께 인도했다면, 그들이 그리스도 안에서 걸어가는 여정을 기록해야 합니다. 예를 들어, 5년이 지난 후에도 여전히 그들을 기억하고 그들을 위해 기도해야 합니다. 당신이 그리스도께 인도한 사람들의 일기를 써보십시오. 시간이 지남에 따라 그 목록이 얼마나 길어지는지 보고 놀라게 될 것입니다.
당신이 사람들을 그리스도께로 인도할 때, 그들에게도 동일하게 하도록 권면하십시오. 그들에게 “당신이 누군가를 그리스도께 인도하면 저에게 알려주세요. 그들의 이름과 주소를 보내주시면 제가 그들을 위해 기도하겠습니다.”라고 말하십시오. 당신의 리스트가 길어질수록 시간을 내어 아버지 앞에 무릎을 꿇고 리스트에 있는 모든 사람을 위해 기도하십시오.
성령님은 사도 바울을 통해 갈라디아서 4:19에서 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “나의 자녀들아 너희 속에 그리스도의 형상을 이루기까지 다시 너희를 위하여 해산하는 수고를 하노니” 당신의 명단에 있는 사람들을 위해 이렇게 기도하십시오. 그들이 믿음 안에 세워지고, 아버지의 뜻을 행하고, 사역의 일에 적극적으로 참여하고, 항상 하나님께 영광을 드릴 수 있도록 전략적으로 중보하십시오.
주님께서 교회에 더하신 다른 새 신자들을 위해서도 기도하십시오. 그들이 말씀 안에 세워지고, 믿음 안에 굳게 뿌리를 내리고, 주님께서 그들의 삶에서 그분의 영광을 위해 그분의 일을 온전히 이루시도록 기도하십시오. 그들이 점점 더 열정적이고, 헌신적이고, 두려움 없는 마지막 때의 추수꾼이 되도록 기도하십시오. 그들을 통해 더 많은 영혼이 복음을 기쁘게 받아들이고 왕국으로 회심하도록 기도하십시오.
요한복음 17:12에서 예수님은 다음과 같이 말씀하셨습니다. “…아버지께서 내게 주신 자는 내가 하나도 잃지 아니하였사오니…” 이것은 당신이 그리스도께 인도하거나 당신의 복음전파 노력을 통해 주님께서 당신의 지역 교회에 더하신 모든 사람들에 대한 당신의 간증이 되어야 합니다. 복음 전파는 의식적인 노력이어야 한다는 것을 기억하십시오. 복음 전파는 진지하고 개인적인 사역이어야 합니다. 복음 전파는 일회성 이벤트가 아닙니다. 복음 전파는 다른 사람들을 하나님의 왕국으로 데려오고, 그들이 믿음 안에서 양육되고 뿌리를 내릴 때까지 그들을 지속적으로 돌보는 의도적인 노력입니다.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 화해의 사역에 하나님과 동역할 수 있는 기회를 주셔서 감사합니다. 나는 그리스도께 인도하는 사람들에 대한 개인적인 책임을 집니다. 나는 그들의 성장을 위해 열렬히 기도하고 영적인 일에 헌신합니다. 하나님의 영광을 위해 변화된 삶을 보는 기쁨과 성취에 감사드립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

KEEP A DIARY OF SOULS
“Here’s my concern: that you care for God’s flock with all the diligence of a shepherd…” (1 Peter 5:2 MSG).
In the previous study, we reviewed the importance of conclusive evangelism. Only conclusive evangelism allows you to have a record. When you lead someone to Christ, you should keep track of their journey in Christ. Five years later, for example, you should still remember them and keep praying for them. Consider keeping a diary of the people you lead to Christ, and you’ll be amazed at how long that list will become over time.
As you lead people to Christ, encourage them to do the same. Tell them, “When you lead someone to Christ, let me know. You can send me their names and addresses. I’ll be praying for them.” As your list grows, take time to bow your knees before the Father and pray for everyone on your list.
The Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, said in Galatians 4:19 “My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you.” Pray like this for those whose names are on your list. Be strategic with your intercession for them, that they’re established in the faith, doing the will of the Father, active in the work of the ministry, and bringing glory to God always.
Pray also for other new converts whom the Lord has added to the church, that they’re established in the Word, firmly rooted and grounded in the faith, and that the Lord is perfecting His work in their lives for His glory. Pray for them to be more and more passionate, committed, and fearless labourers of the end-time harvest, and that through them, more souls receive the Gospel gladly and are converted to the Kingdom.
In John 17:12, Jesus said, “…those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost….” This should always be your testimony concerning all those you lead to Christ or those whom the Lord adds to your local assembly through your evangelical efforts. Remember that evangelism has to be a conscious effort. It must be a sincere and personal ministry; it’s not a one-time event. It is a continuous, deliberate effort to bring others into God’s Kingdom and follow them up until they’re nurtured and grounded in the Faith.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the opportunity to partner with you in the ministry of reconciliation. I take personal responsibility for those I lead to Christ. I remain fervent in prayer for their growth and dedication to spiritual things. Thank you for the joy and fulfilment of seeing lives transformed for your glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
