성령의 인도를 받는 기도
Spirit-guided Prayer
“내가 만일 방언으로 기도하면 나의 영이 기도하거니와 나의 마음은 열매를 맺지 못하리라”(고전 14:14)
우리가 방언으로 기도할 때 영의 영역에서 많은 일이 일어납니다. 그러므로 방언 기도를 가볍게 여기지 마십시오. 고린도 교회의 모든 그리스도인들보다 더 많이 방언으로 기도한다고 담대하게 말한 바울처럼 되십시오. “내가 너희 모두보다 방언을 더 말하므로 하나님께 감사하노라”(고전 14:18)
우리가 성령 안에서 기도할 때, 우리는 종종 의식하지 못한 특정 상황, 사람 또는 환경을 다루도록 인도됩니다. 성령님은 우리의 기도를 인도하시며, 하나님의 뜻과 목적에 일치하게 하십니다. 또한, 방언으로 기도하는 것은 우리가 이 땅에서 아버지의 뜻을 행할 수 있도록 힘을 줍니다.
바로 그것이 하나님이 원하시는 바입니다. 주 예수님은 마태복음 6:10에서 “나라가 임하시오며 뜻이 하늘에서 이루어진 것 같이 땅에서도 이루어지이다.”라고 기도하셨습니다. 성령 안에서 중보할 때, 우리는 하나님의 능력의 통로가 되며, 우리와 다른 사람들의 삶에서 그분의 목적이 성취되도록 합니다.
더욱이, 우리는 방언 기도를 통해 원수를 멀리하고 그의 계획을 좌절케 합니다. 한 번은 금요일 밤에 시작해서 토요일 새벽까지 이어지는 모임에 참석한 적이 있습니다. 모임이 끝날 때쯤, 저는 마무리 기도를 위해 마이크를 잡았습니다. 하지만 이상한 일이 일어났습니다. 저는 방언을 멈출 수 없었습니다. 방언을 멈추고 싶었지만, 성령님께서는 계속하도록 인도하셨습니다.
저는 계속해서 열렬히 방언으로 기도했고, 형제자매들은 성령님의 움직임을 인식하고 동참했습니다. 그리고 우리는 영 안에 승리의 음성이 들릴 때까지 함께 기도했습니다. 저는 영 안에 있는 기쁨과 웃음으로 회중에게 이렇게 말했습니다. “하루이틀 안에 우리가 방언으로 기도한 내용이 분명해질 것입니다.”
이틀 후에 어떤 일이 일어났는지 알게 되었습니다. 어떤 남성이 한 건물의 8층에 위치한 우리 방송국 중 하나를 폭파할 계획을 세웠습니다. 그는 8층에 도착했을 때, 그의 악한 계획을 실행하기도 전에 폭탄이 그의 손에서 터졌습니다. 폭발로 인해 그의 손이 잘렸고, 그는 병원으로 이송되어 방송국을 폭파하려는 의도를 고백했습니다.
이 놀라운 개입은 우리가 방언으로 기도했기 때문에 일어났습니다. 하나님의 영은 우리의 기도를 통해 움직이시며 원수의 계획을 무너뜨리십니다. 이것이 당신이 항상 열정적으로 방언으로 기도해야 하는 이유 중 하나입니다. 방언 기도는 다른 초자연적인 유익들과 함께 위험을 피하는 데 도움이 됩니다.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 방언으로 기도하고 성령을 통해 하나님과 교제할 수 있는 축복과 특권을 주셔서 감사합니다. 나는 말씀과 성령으로 말미암아 능력을 받아 중보하고, 하나님의 뜻을 행하고, 하나님의 계획을 이 땅에서 성취합니다. 나는 내 기도가 역사하는 힘이 크다는 것을 알기에 담대함과 믿음으로 기도합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

SPIRIT-GUIDED PRAYER
“For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful” (1 Corinthians 14:14).
So much happens in the realm of the Spirit when we pray in tongues. So don’t take praying in tongues lightly. Be like Paul who was bold to say he prayed in tongues more than the entire Christians in the Corinthian church: “I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all” (1 Corinthians 14:18).
When we pray in the Spirit, we’re often led to address specific situations, people, or circumstances that we may not be consciously aware of. The Spirit guides our prayers, aligning them with God’s will and purpose. Additionally, praying in tongues empowers us to enforce the Father’s will on earth.
That’s what He wants; the Lord Jesus prayed in Matthew 6:10, “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” As we intercede in the Spirit, we become conduits of God’s power, allowing His purpose to be fulfilled in our lives and that of others.
Furthermore, through praying in tongues, we keep the enemy at bay and frustrate his plans. Once, we were in a meeting that began on a particular Friday night and extended into the early hours of Saturday morning. As we were rounding off the meeting, I took the microphone for the closing prayer. But something unusual happened; I couldn’t stop speaking in tongues. Though I wanted to stop, the Holy Spirit led me to continue.
I kept on praying in tongues fervently and the brethren, recognizing this move of the Spirit, joined in, and together we prayed until I received a note of victory in my spirit. With joy and laughter in the spirit, I announced to the congregation, “In a day or two, it’ll be clear what we prayed about in other tongues.”
The revelation of what had transpired came to the fore two days later. A certain man had planned to bomb one of our TV stations, located on the eighth floor of a certain building. As he approached the floor, the bomb detonated in his hands before he could execute his nefarious plan. The explosion severed his hands, and he was rushed to the hospital where he confessed that his intention was to blow-up the station.
This miraculous intervention occurred because we prayed in tongues. The Spirit of God moved through our prayers, dismantling the enemy’s plans. This is one of the reasons you should fervently and excitedly pray in other tongues always; it helps forfend danger amongst its other transcendent benefits.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the blessing and privilege of praying in tongues and communing with you through the Spirit. I am empowered by your Word and the Spirit to stand in the gap, enforce your will, and bring your plans to fruition on earth. I pray with boldness and faith, knowing that my prayers avail much, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
