영혼 구원에 대한 열정
Fervent In Soul Winning
“의인의 길은 돋는 햇살 같아서 크게 빛나 한낮의 광명에 이르거니와”(잠 4:18)
마태복음 5:16에서 주 예수님은 말씀하셨습니다. “이같이 너희 빛이 사람 앞에 비치게 하여 그들로 너희 착한 행실을 보고 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하라” 또한 로마서 12:11은 “부지런하여 게으르지 말고 열심을 품고 주를 섬기라”고 말합니다.
위 구절처럼 주님을 섬기면 당신의 삶 속에 있는 성령님의 열정과 영감이 전염됩니다. 이는 넘쳐흘러 당신 주변 사람들에게도 영감의 원천이 되게 합니다. 당신은 자연스럽게 영혼 구원자가 됩니다. 당신이 말할 때, 당신은 영과 생명을 쏟아내며, 그리스도의 복음의 능력과 축복으로 듣는 사람들에게 영향을 끼칩니다.
이제 그 영감은 당신이 반드시 유지해야 하는 것입니다. 그리고 그 영감을 유지하는 방법은 에베소서 5:18-21이 가르치는 것처럼 항상 성령으로 충만한 것입니다. (에베소서 5:18-21를 읽어 보십시오.) 당신이 성령으로 충만해지면 담대하게 하나님의 말씀을 선포하게 됩니다. 사도들의 삶을 보듯이 성령으로 충만해졌다는 증거가 바로 그것이기 때문입니다(행 4:31).
당신이 진정 성령으로 말미암아 영감을 받을 때, 당신은 예수 그리스도를 위한 담대하고 효과적인 증인이 됩니다. 당신은 결코 영혼 구원을 멈추지 않습니다. 진정한 영혼 구원자는 은퇴하거나 사명에 있어 지치지 않습니다. 그들은 주님의 일을 하는 데 항상 활동적입니다. 고린도전서 15:58은 말합니다. “그러므로 내 사랑하는 형제들아 견실하며 흔들리지 말고 항상 주의 일에 더욱 힘쓰는 자들이 되라…” 영혼 구원을 위한 당신은 노력은 항상 증가하여야 합니다. 당신이 성령으로 충만해졌기 때문입니다.
만약 당신이 일주일에 세 명의 영혼을 구원했다면, 당신은 그 숫자를 10명, 혹은 30명까지 늘리는 것을 목표로 삼아야 합니다. 영혼 구원에 대한 열정과 열망을 유지하십시오. 기억하십시오. 영혼 구원은 하나님의 심장 박동입니다. 영혼 구원은 그분이 우리에게 맡기신 가장 중요한 임무입니다. 그러므로 열정과 근면함, 그리고 성령의 능력으로 영혼을 구원하십시오.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 영혼 구원자가 되는 특권에 감사드립니다. 하나님은 성령으로부터 영감을 받아 주변 사람들에게 끊임없이 복음을 전합니다. 나는 이 신성한 부르심에 대해 지치거나 은퇴하기를 거절합니다. 하나님의 말씀이 나를 통해 생수의 강처럼 흐르며, 내 세상에 있는 사람들에게 생명과 구원을 줍니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

FERVENT IN SOUL WINNING
“The path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day” (Proverbs 4:18).
In Matthew 5:16, the Lord Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” The Bible says in Romans 12:11, “Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord.”
Serving the Lord as the above verses say, the passion and inspiration of the Spirit in your life is contagious. It overflows and becomes a source of inspiration for those around you. You naturally become a soul winner. When you speak, you pour out spirit and life, impacting your hearers with the power and blessings of the Gospel of Christ.
Now, that inspiration is something you must maintain. And one of the ways to maintain it is keeping yourself filled with the Spirit always as Ephesians 5:18-21 teaches (study the entire reference). When you’re filled with the Spirit, you proclaim the Word of God with boldness. That’s the evidence of being filled with the Spirit as seen in the lives of the Apostles (Acts 4:31).
When you’re truly inspired by the Holy Spirit, you’re a bold and effective witness for Jesus Christ; you never stop winning souls. True soul winners don’t retire or grow weary in their mission; they’re forever active doing the Lord’s work. 1 Corinthians 15:58 says, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord….” Your soul-winning efforts should always be on the increase, because you’re filled with the Spirit.
If you were winning three souls per week, you should aim to increase that number, perhaps to 10, or maybe even 30. Maintain your zeal and fervour for soul winning. Remember, soul winning is God’s heartbeat; it’s the most important assignment that He committed to our trust. Therefore, do it with passion, diligence and in the power of the Holy Spirit.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of being a soul winner. I am inspired by your Spirit to continually share the gospel with those around me. I refuse to grow weary or retire from this divine calling. Your Word flows through me like rivers of living water, bringing life and salvation to those in my world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
