Kingdom Values And Principles
“너는 층계로 내 제단에 오르지 말라 네 하체가 그 위에서 드러날까 함이니라”(출 20:26)
성경은 우리가 하나님의 생각과 성품에 대한 통찰을 얻도록 돕습니다. 예를 들어, 제단을 쌓는 것에 대해 하나님께서 이스라엘 자손들에게 주신 지시를 보십시오. 하나님께서는 올라가는 데 계단이 필요한 제단을 쌓지 말라고 지시하셨습니다. 어떤 이유 때문입니까? 아래에서 지켜보고 있는 사람이 그들의 벌거벗은 모습을 보는 것을 원치 않으셨기 때문입니다. “계단을 이용해 내 제단에 오르지 마라. 그러면 너희 벌거벗은 몸이 드러나기 때문이다”(출 20:26, 메시지 성경)
이것은 건축의 세부 사항에서조차 겸손과 예의를 중시하시는 하나님의 관심도를 보여줍니다. 그러한 지시는 외설을 조장하거나 개인의 존엄성을 손상시키는 문화적 흐름과 유행에 대한 주의 등과 같은 하나님의 성품과 사고방식을 드러냅니다. 노출이 심한 의상을 입거나 용납하지 마십시오. 당신의 옷차림에서 정숙과 존중의 가치를 지키십시오.
하나님의 말씀이 당신을 인도하는 빛이 되게 하십시오. 우리는 단정한 옷차림을 선택함으로써 하나님을 공경할 뿐만 아니라 다른 사람들에게도 긍정적인 본이 됩니다. 하나님의 말씀의 원칙에 부합하고 그분의 이름에 영광을 돌리는 선택을 하는 것입니다.
그리스도인으로서 우리는 더 높은 수준의 삶을 살고 더 높은 기준을 가지고 있다는 것을 항상 기억하십시오. 우리가 하지 않는 일, 가지 않는 장소, 말하지 않는 일들이 있습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “그러므로 너희는 그들 중에서 나와서 따로 있고…”(고후 6:17)
따라서, 당신은 달라야 합니다. 당신은 다른 삶을 사는 왕국의 자녀입니다. 당신은 성령으로 말미암아 거룩해졌습니다. 그분께서 여러분을 구별하셨고, 당신이 거룩하고 깨끗하다고 선포하셨습니다. 그러므로 당신의 삶에서 일어나는 모든 일로 그리스도를 영화롭게 하십시오. 왕국의 가치와 원칙을 지키십시오.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 삶의 모든 면에서 나를 인도하시는 아버지의 말씀에 감사드립니다. 나는 내가 하는 모든 일에서 우리 왕국의 가치를 지키며 나의 일상생활에서 의와 그리스도의 성품을 나타냅니다. 나는 하나님께 영광 드리는 일에 헌신하기로 결단합니다. 나는 성령으로 말미암아 말씀의 원칙, 가치, 가르침을 구현하고 실천하며 하나님의 뜻을 따라 행합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

KINGDOM VALUES AND PRINCIPLES
“Neither shalt thou go up by steps unto mine altar, that thy nakedness be not discovered thereon” (Exodus 20:26).
The scriptures help us to gain insights into God’s thinking and character. Take for example God’s instruction to the children of Israel regarding the construction of the altar. He instructed them not to build altars requiring steps to ascend. Why? It’s simply because He didn’t want anyone who may be watching from below to see their nakedness: “Don’t use steps to climb to my Altar because that will expose your nakedness” (Exodus 20:26 MSG).
It illustrates God’s attention to modesty and decency, even in architectural details. Such instructions reveal His character and way of thinking, and as such, a caution against cultural trends and fashion that tend to promote indecency or compromise personal dignity. Don’t adorn or condone indecent, revealing outfits. Uphold values of modesty and respect in your dressing.
Let the Word of God be your guiding light. By choosing to dress modestly, we not only honour God but also set a positive example for others. It’s about making choices that align with the principles of God’s Word and bring glory to His Name.
Always remember that as Christians, we have a higher life and uphold higher standards. There’re things we don’t do, places we don’t go, and things we don’t say. The Bible says, “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate…” (2 Corinthians 6:17).
So, be different; you’re a child of the Kingdom with a different life. You were sanctified by the Spirit; He’s separated you and declared you holy and undefiled. Therefore, let everything about your life glorify Christ. Maintain the values and principles of the Kingdom.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for your Word which guides me in all aspects of life. I uphold the values of our Kingdom in all that I do, expressing righteousness and reflecting the character of Christ in my daily life. I stand firm in my commitment to honouring you. I embody and practice the principles, values, and teachings of the Word by your Spirit, and live according to your will, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
