당신의 마음을 거룩하게 유지하십시오
Keep Your Heart Sanctified
“모든 지킬 만한 것 중에 더욱 네 마음을 지키라 생명의 근원이 이에서 남이니라”(잠 4:23)
오늘의 본문 구절에서 “지키다”라는 단어는 무언가를 숨기라는 뜻이 아닙니다. 이 단어는 히브리어로 “나트사(natsar)”로 어떤 소중한 것을 지키기 위해 강한 요새로 둘러 쌓는다는 뜻입니다. 말씀으로 당신의 마음을 거룩하게 유지하십시오.
성경이 당신의 마음을 지키는 것, 즉 온전한 마음을 유지하는 것을 중요하게 여기는 이유는 생명의 문제가 마음에서 나오기 때문입니다. 모든 것은 당신의 마음으로부터 흘러나옵니다. 다시 말해, 당신이 인생에서 필요한 모든 것은 사실 지금 당신의 마음 안에 있는 것입니다.
당신이 이 세상에서 가게 될 모든 곳, 가지게 될 모든 것, 누리게 될 모든 것이 당신의 마음에 있습니다. 성경은 하나님께서 우리 마음에 영원을 두셨다고 말씀합니다(전 3:11). 하나님의 나라는 우리 마음에 있습니다(눅 17:21). 그렇다면 당신이 해야 할 일은 무엇입니까?
말씀으로 당신의 마음을 채워서 오직 선한 것만이 흘러나오게 하십시오. 절대로 불건전한 것들이 당신의 마음에 뿌리내리지 못하게 하십시오. 교만, 분노, 악의, 원한, 미움은 마음에 독이 됩니다.
빌립보서 4:8은 하나님께서 당신의 마음을 무엇으로 채우시기를 원하시는지 알려줍니다. 정직하고, 의롭고, 순결하고, 사랑할 만하고, 칭찬할 만하고, 덕이 있고, 칭찬할 만한 것들로 당신의 마음을 채우십시오. 하나님의 말씀보다 이 조건을 더 잘 충족하는 것은 없습니다. 따라서, 하나님의 말씀이 당신 속에 풍성히 거하도록 허락해야 합니다(골 3:16).
고백
나의 생각은 말씀으로 새롭게 됩니다. 나는 참되고, 정직하고, 옳고, 순결하고, 사랑할 만하고, 칭찬할 만하고, 덕이 있고, 찬양할 만한 것으로 내 생각을 채웁니다. 나는 말씀을 내 마음에 계속 두고, 곱씹고, 묵상하고, 생각합니다. 말씀이 내 안에서 성공의 아이디어와 그림, 무한한 가능성과 승리, 하나님과의 사랑과 교제를 만들기 때문입니다. 할렐루야!

KEEP YOUR HEART SANCTIFIED
“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life”(Proverbs 4:23).
The word “keep” in the opening text doesn’t mean to hide something. The Hebrew word is “nâtsar”, and it gives the picture of a stronghold mounted over something valuable. Thus, you’re to mount guard over your heart; keep your heart sanctified with the Word.
The reason the Bible places a premium on mounting guard over your heart—maintaining a perfect heart—is that out of it are the issues of life. Everything flows from your heart. In other words, everything you need for life is actually in your heart right now.
Everywhere you would ever go, everything you would ever have, everything thing you’d ever enjoy in this world is in your heart. The Bible says He has set eternity in our hearts (Ecclesiastes 3:11). The Kingdom of God is in our hearts (Luke 17:21). What then are you supposed to do?
Fill your heart with the Word so only good will always come forth from your heart. Never let anything unwholesome take root in your heart. Pride, anger, malice, bitterness, hatred—these are poisonous to the heart.
Philippians 4:8 gives us an idea of what God wants you to fill your heart with: things that are honest, just, pure, lovely, of good report, virtuous and praiseworthy. Nothing meets this qualification better than God’s Word. That’s why you must allow the Word of God to dwell in you richly (Colossians 3:16).
CONFESSION
My thoughts are renewed by the Word, and therefore filled with things that are true, honest, just, pure, lovely, of a good report, virtuous and praiseworthy. I stay my mind, brood, meditate and think on the Word, as it creates and produces in me ideas and pictures of success, endless possibilities and victories, love and fellowship with God. Hallelujah!
