Recreated In Christ
“우리는 하나님께서 [직접] 손수 만드시 작품(그분의 솜씨)이며, [하나님께서 미리 준비해 놓으신 길을 따라] 그분께서 우리를 위해 예정하신 (사전에 계획하신) 선한 일을 하고, 그 안에서 [그분께서 미리 계획하시고 준비하신 좋은 삶을 살며] 행하도록 그리스도 예수 안에서 재창조된 [거듭 난] 자입니다.”(엡 2:10, 확대번역본)
사도 바울이 “우리는 하나님의 작품이었습니다 혹은 앞으로 그렇게 될 것입니다” 라고 말하지 않은 점을 주목하십시오. 그는 현재 시제를 사용하여 지금 하나님께서 당신을 어떻게 부르시는지 설명합니다. 다른 말로, 이 땅에서 당신이 어디로 가든지 상관없이, 영적인 영역에서는 모든 피조물들이 당신이 어떤 자인지 인식하고 있습니다. 하나님의 표식이 당신에게 붙어있기 때문입니다.
당신은 그리스도 예수 안에서 재창조되었습니다. 누군가는 이렇게 말할 수도 있습니다. “하지만 하나님이 모든 것을 창조하셨으니, 모든 사람이 그분의 작품이다!” 바울의 생각은 달랐습니다. 창세기에 첫 창조가 있었지만, 바울이 하는 말의 핵심은 특별한 창조, 곧 거듭난 우리가 그리스도 예수 안에서 된 재창조였습니다.
그리고 바울은 우리에게 이 거듭남의 목적을 설명합니다. 우리가 거듭난 것은 하나님께서 우리를 위해 미리 정하시고 계획하신 선한 일을 우리가 행하고 미리 예비하신 그 길을 가기 위함입니다. 할렐루야! 다시 말해, 이것은 그리스도 안에서 재창조된 우리를 위해 하나님께서 우리 각자의 길, 즉 삶의 모든 것이 탁월하고 영광으로 충만하도록 예비하셨다는 것을 알려줍니다.
이것이 끝이 아닙니다. 우리는 그저 인생을 사는 것이 아니라, “좋은 인생” 곧 그분이 미리 예정하시고 준비하신 삶을 살도록 부름 받았습니다. 이제 아픔, 질병, 연약함, 가난이 당신 삶의 일부가 되어서는 안 되는 이유를 더 잘 이해할 수 있을 것입니다! 다음과 같은 선포가 당신의 고백이 되게 하십시오. “나는 아름다움과 영광을 위해 그리스도 안에서 재창조되었습니다. 좋은 일들이 내 길에 놓여있고, 하나님의 의가 언제나 내 안에서, 나로 말미암아 나타납니다.” 할렐루야!
고백
사랑하는 아버지, 나를 당신의 탁월한 걸작품으로 만드시고, 선한 일을 위해 지으시고, 나를 위해 예정하신 좋은 삶을 살도록 하시니 감사합니다. 나는 아픔, 질병, 이 세상의 요소들에 굴복하기를 거절합니다. 하나님께서 이 땅의 어두운 세상의 부패한 영향력과 부정적인 것들보다 나를 우월하게 창조하셨기 때문입니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

RECREATED IN CHRIST
“For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live]”(Ephesians 2:10 AMPC).
Observe that the apostle Paul didn’t say “We were or we shall be God’s own handiwork.” He uses the present tense to describe that right now, God has His label on you. In other words, no matter where you go in this great world; in the realms of the spirit, they recognize who you are because God’s label is on you.
You’re recreated in Christ Jesus. Someone might say, “But God created everything, so everyone is his workmanship!” That’s different from Paul’s thoughts. There was the first creation in the book of Genesis, but Paul’s emphasis was on a special creation—a recreation in Christ Jesus—those of us who are born again.
Then he tells us the purpose of this new birth: that we may do those good works which God predestined and planned beforehand for us, taking paths which He prepared ahead of time. Hallelujah! Again, this shows that those of us that have been recreated in Christ, God has prepared our paths—everything about our lives—to be excellent and full of glory.
That’s not all; we’re to live, not just life, but the “good life” which He prearranged and made ready for you to live. Now, you can better understand why sickness, disease, infirmity and poverty shouldn’t be a part of your life! Let this be your confession. Every so often, declare, “I’m recreated in Christ, for beauty and for glory; good things are in my path, and the righteousness of God is expressed in and through me always.” Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
Dear Father, thank you for I’m your excellent handiwork, fashioned for good works, and to live the good life which you prearranged for me. I refuse to succumb to sickness, disease, or the elements of this world, because you’ve made me superior to them and the corrupting influences and negativities in this present world of darkness. Glory to God!
