Your Revelation Of The Gospel
“내가 복음을 부끄러워하지 아니하노니 이 복음은 모든 믿는 자에게 구원을 주시는 하나님의 능력이 됨이라 먼저는 유대인에게요 그리고 헬라인에게로다”(롬 1:16)
당신은 예수 그리스도를 믿기 시작했을 때 그리스도인이 되었고, 자신이 이해한 기독교를 바탕으로 살기 시작했습니다. 당신의 삶은 기독교에 대한 당신의 생각과 인식을 나타내는 매일의 표현이 되었습니다. 의식적이든 무의식적이든, 당신은 자신의 복음을 드러내며 살아갑니다.
아마 당신은 “나의 복음?”이라고 궁금증을 가질 수 있습니다. 맞습니다. 우리 모두에게는 각자의 “복음”이 있습니다. 당신의 복음은 그리스도에 대한 당신의 인식입니다. 즉, 그분이 누구이시며, 무엇을 하기 위해 이 땅에 오셨는지에 대한 당신의 이해입니다. 당신은 자신이 갖고 있는 복음의 계시 이상으로 살 수 없습니다. 당신이 예수님에 관해 믿는 모든 것들은 말, 사고방식, 삶을 바라보는 태도에 영향을 미칠 것입니다. 마치 “복음의 필터”를 통해 모든 것을 바라보게 될 것입니다.
이것이 바로 그리스도의 복음에 대한 정확한 지식을 갖는 것이 중요한 이유입니다. 복음을 어떻게 이해하고 있습니까? 그리스도를 향해 가지고 있는 당신의 생각은 무엇입니까? 그분은 어떤 분이시며, 당신은 그분의 무엇을 믿습니까?
제가 어린 시절에 스스로를 위해 한 일 중 하나는 “예수님에 대해 정말로 무엇을 믿는가?”라고 자문하는 것이었습니다. 제가 예수님에 대해 진정으로 믿는 것이 무엇인지 알아보기 위해 하나님의 말씀을 사용하여 제 마음을 들여다보며 그 대답들을 공책에 적었습니다.
그리스도인으로서 스스로를 위해 확인해야 하는 것들이 있습니다. 자신이 소유한 것만 다른 사람들에게 줄 수 있기 때문입니다. 다른 사람들에게도 복음을 전하겠지만 “자신”에게 복음을 전한 적이 있습니까? 당신은 복음에 대한 개인적인 확신을 가지고 있습니까?

진정으로 복음을 믿고 이해했다면, 열렬하고 긴급한 마음으로 복음을 전파할 것입니다. 당신의 지역 사회, 도시, 국가 그리고 모든 사람의 세상에 복음이 스며 들게 하기 위해 그 무엇도 아끼지 않을 것입니다. 그리스도에 대한 확신이 당신을 움직이게 하십시오.

사랑하는 아버지, 사도들이 전했던 동일한 말씀을 내가 나의 세상에 전할 수 있는 특권을 주셔서 감사합니다. 나는 복음에 대한 더 명확한 이해를 가지고 있고, 이 복음이 인간의 구원을 위한 유일한 소망과 능력임을 확신합니다. 나는 오늘 복음을 담대하게 선포하며 당신의 이름에 찬송과 영광을 드립니다. 아멘.

YOUR REVELATION OF THE GOSPEL
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek”(Romans 1:16).
When you believed in Jesus Christ, you became a Christian and started living out your understanding of Christianity. Your life became a daily expression of your idea or perception of Christianity. Consciously or unconsciously, you became a reflection of your Gospel.
“My Gospel?” you may be wondering. Yes! Every one of us has a “Gospel.” Your gospel is your perception of Christ: who He is and what He came to do. You can’t live above your revelation of the Gospel. Whatever you believe about Jesus will affect your speech, thinking process, and outlook on life. You’ll see everything through your “Gospel screen,” as it were.
This is why it’s important to have an accurate knowledge of the Gospel of Christ. What’s your understanding of the Gospel? What’s your opinion of Christ? Who is He, and what do you believe about Him?
One of the things I did for myself in my early years was to ask myself, “What do you really believe about Jesus?” Using the Word of God, I began to probe my heart to find out what I truly believed about Jesus, and I wrote my answers in a notebook.
There’re things you need to address for yourself as a Christian because you can only give to others what you have. You may preach the Gospel to people, but have you preached it to “you”? Do you have personal convictions about it?
Paul said, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek” (Romans 1:16). Have you come to that conclusion about the Gospel?
If you truly believe and understand the Gospel, you’ll preach it with fervour and urgency. You won’t spare anything to ensure it permeates your community, city, country, and every man’s world. Let your convictions of Christ drive you.
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of taking the same message the apostles preached to my world. I have a clearer understanding of the Gospel, convinced that it’s the only hope and power there is for the salvation of men. I proclaim it with boldness today, to the praise and glory of your Name. Amen.
