복음 안에서 당신의 역할
YOUR ROLE IN THE GOSPEL
“내가 복음을 부끄러워하지 아니하노니 이 복음은 모든 믿는 자에게 구원을 주시는 하나님의 능력이 됨이라 먼저는 유대인에게요 그리고 헬라인에게로다”(롬1:16)
하나님의 자녀로서 복음 안에서 우리의 역할은 명확합니다. 우리 주 예수님은 말씀하셨습니다. “또 이르시되 너희는 온 천하에 다니며 만민에게 복음을 전파하라”(막16:15). 마태복음 28:19에서 예수님은 말씀하셨습니다. “그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족을 제자로 삼아 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 세례를 베풀고”
사도 바울처럼 당신도 복음 안에서의 역할을 개인적으로 받아들이고 이와 같이 말해야 합니다. “이 교훈은 내게 맡기신 바 복되신 하나님의 영광의 복음을 따름이니라”(딤전1:11) 이 복음은 당신에게 맡겨졌습니다. 당신은 복음이 전세계로 퍼지는데 얼마나 신실하게 임하고 있습니까? 당신이 군사라는 것과 예수님께서 우리에게 시키신 대로 복음을 전세계에 전하는 일은 곧 전쟁이라는 것을 깨달았습니까?
모든 나라에는 민간인이 있고 군대가 있습니다. 각 군대는 명확한 역할을 가지고 있습니다. 바로 국가를 방어하고, 중요한 국가 이익을 보호하며, 국가의 군사적 책임을 완수하는 것입니다. 당신은 하나님의 군대에 속했습니다(딤후2:3-4). 당신은 보이지 않는 천국의 군대와 함께 하나님의 의로 땅을 덮기 위해 일합니다.
이 천국의 군대는 하나님의 원리에 따라 우리 없이는 할 일을 하지 못하고, 또 우리도 그들 없이는 할 수 없는 일이 많이 있습니다. 당신은 이 계획 안에서 특정한 역할을 맡고 있습니다. 당신은 하나님이 세우신 파수꾼이며, 그분의 대사이자 편지입니다.
당신은 하나님의 동역자입니다. 그분의 화해의 사역의 동역자입니다. “곧 하나님께서 그리스도 안에 계시사 세상을 자기와 화목하게 하시며 그들의 죄를 그들에게 돌리지 아니하시고 화목하게 하는 말씀을 우리에게 부탁하셨느니라”(고후5:19) 이 땅에서는 영혼을 놓고 치열한 싸움이 벌어지고 있기 때문에 하나님께서는 당신이 기도에서 승리하고 열심을 다해 복음을 전하기를 원하십니다.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 전세계 곳곳에서 마지막 추수를 위해 열정적이고 헌신적이며 두려움이 없는 일꾼들을 세우고 계심에 감사합니다. 복음을 기쁘게 받아들이고 왕국으로 회심하도록 영혼들의 심령이 준비되고 있음에 감사드립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

YOUR ROLE IN THE GOSPEL
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek”(Romans 1:16).
As God’s children, our role in the Gospel is clearly defined. Our Lord Jesus said, “Go ye into all the world and preach the Gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). In Matthew 28:19, He said, “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost” (Matthew 28:19).
Like the apostle Paul, you ought to personalize your role in the Gospel and say, “According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust (1 Timothy 1:11). The Gospel has been committed to your trust; how faithful are you to its spread around the world? Has it dawned on you that you’re a soldier, and taking the Gospel to every man’s world as Jesus has asked us to do means war?
In every nation, you have the civilians and you have the army. The army has a role that’s clearly defined for them: to defend the nation, protect vital national interests and fulfil national military responsibilities. You’re in God’s army (2 Timothy 2:3-4), working in sync and in partnership with an unseen heavenly host, to cover the earth with God’s righteousness.
These heavenly hosts, by God’s principles, can’t do the things they need to do without us and there’s a whole lot we can’t do without them. You have a role in the scheme of things. You’re God’s watchman, His mouth piece and messenger.
You’re a co-labourer with God; His minister of reconciliation: “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation” (2 Corinthians 5:19). While there’s a raging battle for the souls of men, God needs you to prevail in prayer, and preach the Gospel with all fervency.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for raising passionate, committed and fearless labourers for the end-time harvest fields around the world. I thank you that the people’s hearts are made ready to receive the Gospel gladly, and be converted to the Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
