단 한 번의 제사
A One-time Sacrifice
“그리스도께서는 장래 좋은 일의 대제사장으로 오사 손으로 짓지 아니한 것 곧 이 창조에 속하지 아니한 더 크고 온전한 장막으로 말미암아 염소와 송아지의 피로 하지 아니하고 오직 자기의 피로 영원한 속죄를 이루사 단번에 성소에 들어가셨느니라”(히 9:11-12)
구약에서 성경은 첫번째 장막을 이렇게 말합니다. “이 장막은 현재까지의 비유니 이에 따라 드리는 예물과 제사는 섬기는 자를 그 양심상 온전하게 할 수 없나니”(히 9:9). 구약의 제사장들은 하나님께 다양한 희생 제물과 제사를 드렸습니다. “…먹고 마시는 것과 여러 가지 씻는 것과 함께…”(히 9:10).
그러나 예수 그리스도께서 오셨을 때, 그분의 희생 제물은 그분의 피였습니다. 구약의 제사장들은 한 해의 속죄를 위해 해마다 제사를 드려야 했으나, 예수님은 단번에 인류를 위한 영원한 속량을 이루셨습니다. 동물의 피의 제물로 이루어진 이전의 제사는 하나님의 최고의 방법도, 그분이 원하시는 것도 아니었습니다. 그래서 예수님께서 말씀하셨습니다. “…하나님이여 보시옵소서 두루마리 책에 나를 가리켜 기록된 것과 같이 하나님의 뜻을 행하러 왔나이다 하셨느니라”(히 10:7).
성경은 말합니다. 구약의 제사장들은 “…매일 서서 섬기며 자주 같은 제사를 드리되 이 제사는 언제나 죄를 없게 하지 못하거니와 오직 그리스도는 죄를 위하여 한 영원한 제사를 드리시고 하나님 우편에 앉으사”(히 10:11-12)
안디옥에서 구원받지 않은 유대인들에게 사역할 때 사도 바울은 그들에게 놀라운 진리를 밝혔습니다. “…이 사람을 힘입어 죄 사함을 너희에게 전하는 이것이며 또 모세의 율법으로 너희가 의롭다 하심을 얻지 못하던 모든 일에도 이 사람을 힘입어 믿는 자마다 의롭다 하심을 얻는 이것이라”(행 13:38-39). 하나님을 송축합니다!
언제 어디서나 모든 사람에게 이 소식을 전하십시오. 그리스도 예수께서 인간의 영원한 속량을 단번에 성취하셨습니다. 할렐루야!
고백
주님, 당신은 영광스럽고 의로우십니다. 당신은 우리의 죄를 담당하시고 그분의 피로 한번에 영원히 그 죄를 씻어내셨습니다! 당신은 인간이 해결할 수 없는 죄의 모든 값을 지불하셨습니다. 이제 우리는 죄와 사망과 파멸로부터 깨끗해졌고, 거룩해졌으며, 의로워졌습니다. 할렐루야!

A One-time Sacrifice
“But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us”(Hebrews 9:11-12).
In the Old Testament, the Bible refers to the first tabernacle as that “Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect…” (Hebrews 9:9). The Old Testament priests gave different offerings and sacrifices to God, such as “meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances…” (Hebrews 9:10).
But when Jesus Christ came, His sacrifice was His own blood; He offered Himself. Whereas the priests of the Old Testament had to offer sacrifices year after year for a yearly atonement, Jesus did it once and obtained eternal redemption for mankind. The previous will—the offering of the blood of animals—wasn’t God’s best, and not what He wanted. So, Jesus said, “Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God” (Hebrews 10:7).
The Bible says the Old Testament priests were “offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins: But this man (Jesus Christ), after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God” (Hebrews 10:11-12).
No wonder the Apostle Paul, while ministering to some unsaved Jews in Antioch, unveiled an extraordinary truth. He said, “…through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses” (Acts 13:38-39). Blessed be God!
Tell it everywhere, and to everyone: Christ Jesus has consummated man’s eternal redemption once, and for all. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
Glorious and righteous are you, Lord, for you bore our sins and washed them away with your blood, once and for all! You paid the ultimate price for sin, which man had incurred without a means of settlement. Now, we’re washed, sanctified, and justified; free from sin, death, and destruction. Hallelujah!
