하나님과의 화평
Peace With God
“평안을 너희에게 끼치노니 곧 나의 평안을 너희에게 주노라 내가 너희에게 주는 것은 세상이 주는 것과 같지 아니하니라 너희는 마음에 근심하지도 말고 두려워하지도 말라”(요 14:27)
저는 세상의 모든 사람들이 예수 그리스도의 죽음, 장사됨, 부활의 중요성을 이해하기를 하나님께 바랍니다! 성경은 우리를 위한 예수님의 대속적 희생 이전에는 우리가 “약속의 언약들에 대하여는 외인이요 세상에서 소망이 없고 하나님도 없는 자이더니”(엡 2:12) 라고 말합니다. 우리는 하나님의 원수였습니다.
그러나 하나님을 송축합니다! 로마서 5:10은 하나님께서 예수 그리스도의 죽음으로 말미암아 우리를 자신과 화목하게 하셨다고 말합니다. 에베소서 2:13-18은 말합니다. “이제는 전에 멀리 있던 너희가 그리스도 예수 안에서 그리스도의 피로 가까워졌느니라 그는 우리의 화평이신지라 둘로 하나를 만드사 원수 된 것 곧 중간에 막힌 담을 자기 육체로 허시고 법조문으로 된 계명의 율법을 폐하셨으니 이는 이 둘로 자기 안에서 한 새 사람을 지어 화평하게 하시고 또 십자가로 이 둘을 한 몸으로 하나님과 화목하게 하려 하심이라 원수 된 것을 십자가로 소멸하시고 또 오셔서 먼 데 있는 너희에게 평안을 전하시고 가까운 데 있는 자들에게 평안을 전하셨으니 이는 그로 말미암아 우리 둘이 한 성령 안에서 아버지께 나아감을 얻게 하려 하심이라.” 할렐루야!
예수님께서 값을 치르셨고 우리를 아버지와의 화평과 연합으로 인도하셨습니다. 로마서 5:1에서 바울이 다음과 같이 선포한 것은 당연합니다. “그러므로 우리가 믿음으로 의롭다 하심을 받았으니 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님과 화평을 누리자.” 여기서 “화평”이라는 단어는 그리스어 “아이레네(eirene)”에서 유래되었습니다. 이는 적대감이 끝난 상태를 말합니다. 즉, 하나가 되었다는 뜻입니다.
그리스도 예수를 통해 당신은 하나님과 하나가 되었습니다. 당신은 그분 안에 있는 처소에 도착했습니다! 더 이상 심판을 두려워하며 살 필요가 없습니다. 예수님께서 이미 당신의 죄에 대한 형벌을 끝내셨습니다. 이사야 53:5은 말합니다. “…그가 징계를 받으므로 우리는 평화를 누리고…” 할렐루야!
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 나에게 맡겨진 이 화해의 말씀에 감사합니다. 나를 통해 내 세상과 그 너머에 있는 많은 사람들이 하나님을 아는 지식으로 나아오며, 그리스도 안에 있는 그들의 유업 안으로 들어오고 있습니다. 그들은 정죄감으로부터 자유로우며, 아버지와의 화평과 연합의 삶으로 나아오고 있습니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

Peace With God
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”(John 14:27).
I would to God that everyone in the world would understand the magnitude and import of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ! Prior to His vicarious sacrifice on our behalf, the Bible says we were, “aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world” (Ephesians 2:12). We were enemies of God.
But blessed be God! Romans 5:10 says He reconciled us to Himself by the death of Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:13-18 says, “But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.” Hallelujah!
Jesus paid the price and brought us into peace and union with the Father. No wonder Paul declares in Romans 5:1, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” The word “peace” is from the Greek, “eirene.” It describes an end to hostilities. It means to be set at one.
Through Christ Jesus, you’ve been set at one with God; you’ve come home in Him! There’s no need to live in fear of judgment; Jesus has already taken the punishment for your sins. Isaiah 53:5 says, “…the chastisement of our peace was upon him…” (Isaiah 53:5). Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for the message of reconciliation that has been committed to my trust. Through me, many in my world and in the regions beyond are coming to the knowledge of God, and into their inheritance in Christ; they’re coming into the life of peace and union with the Father, free from condemnation, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
