말씀이 당신의 도시에서 흥왕할 것입니다

“이와 같이 주의 말씀이 힘이 있어 흥왕하여 세력을 얻으니라”(행 19:20)
누가는 바울이 아시아 선교 여행 중 특별히 에베소에서 했던 활동을 기록했습니다. 사도행전 19:8은 말합니다. “바울이 회당에 들어가 석 달 동안 담대히 하나님 나라에 관하여 강론하며 권면하되.”
그러자 어떤 일이 벌어지기 시작했습니다. 바울이 회당에서 복음을 전할 때 저항이 일어나기 시작했습니다. 일부 유대인들은 믿지 않았습니다. 오히려 그들은 공개적으로 주님의 길을 비방했습니다! 이를 본 사도 바울은 제자들을 따로 세워 두란노 서원에서 날마다 말씀을 가르쳤습니다(행 19:9).
10절을 보면 이것이 2년 동안 계속되었음을 알려줍니다. 그리고 그 결과, 아시아 지역에 살던 유대인과 헬라인이 모두 주님의 말씀을 듣게 되었습니다. 사도행전 19:11-12은 말합니다. “하나님께서 바울을 통하여 특별한 기적들을 행하셨으므로 심지어 사람들이 그의 몸에서 손수건이나 앞치마를 가져다가 병자들에게 대기만 해도 질병들이 그들에게서 떠나고 악한 영들도 그들에게서 나가더라.” 이것이 바로 하나님의 말씀이 세력을 얻게 되면 일어나는 일입니다.
당신이 말씀을 전하고 가르친다면, 당신의 나라, 도시, 마을 또는 지역사회에서도 이와 같은 일이 일어날 것입니다. 바울은 말씀을 전파하고 가르치는 데 충분한 시간을 쏟았습니다. 그는 온 도시가 복음을 들을 때까지 가르쳤습니다. 하나님의 말씀이 에베소를 다스리고 변화시킬 수 있었다면, 그 말씀이 당신의 삶과 당신의 세상도 변화시킬 수 있을 것입니다.
하나님의 말씀을 사용하고 적용하여 당신의 세상을 변화시키십시오. 그 말씀은 당신의 입에 있으며 말씀은 흥왕할 것입니다. 지금 당신의 입을 열어 당신의 공동체와 도시와 국가에 의를 가득 쏟아내십시오! 당신의 환경에 복음을 심으십시오.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 의의 복음을 전파하고 가르침으로서 당신의 왕국이 모든 도시와 나라와 전 세계에 세워집니다. 모든 사람들과 권세의 자리에 있는 사람들이 이 메시지의 영향을 받고 주님을 기쁘시게 하는 일을 합니다. 교회에 증가한 은혜가 부어짐에 감사합니다. 교회는 이 은혜를 힘입어 마지막 때 온 땅에 자유를 선포합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

It’ll Prevail In Your City
“So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed”(Acts 19:20).
Luke gives a historical report of some of Paul’s activities during his missionary journey in Asia, particularly Ephesus. Acts 19:8 says, “And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God.”
But something began to happen: as he preached the Gospel in the synagogue, resistance began to form. Some of the Jews didn’t believe; rather, they publicly maligned the way of the Lord! The Apostle Paul, who quickly observed this, separated the disciples, holding daily meetings with them in the lecture hall of Tyrannus (Acts 19:9).
Verse 10 tells us that this went on for a space of two years. And the result was that all the Jews and Greeks who lived in the province of Asia heard the Word of the Lord. Acts 19:11-12 (NIV): “God did extraordinary miracles through Paul, so that even handkerchiefs and aprons that had touched him were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.” This is what happens when the Word of God gains the ascendancy.
The same will happen in your nation, city, town or community if you’d preach and teach the Word. Paul gave sufficient time to the preaching and teaching of the Word, so much so that an entire city heard the Gospel. If the Word of God could dominate and change the city of Ephesus, it’ll produce the same results in your life and in your world.
Use and apply the Word of God to change things in your world. That Word is in your mouth and it’ll prevail. Even now, open your mouth and pour forth righteousness upon your community, city, and nation! Seed your environment with the Gospel.
PRAYER
Dear Father, through the preaching and teaching of the Gospel of righteousness, your Kingdom is established in every city and nation, and all over the world; people everywhere, and those in authority are influenced by the message, causing them to do things that please the Lord. Thank you for the increased grace upon the Church to proclaim liberty in all the earth, in these last days, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
