우리 시대에 하나님의 영광을 나타냄
MANIFESTING HIS GLORY IN OUR DAY
“믿음은 바라는 것들의 실상이요 보이지 않는 것들의 증거니 선진들이 이로써 증거를 얻었느니라”(히 11:1-2)
아직 제가 아주 어렸을 때, 어느 날 주님은 저에게 말씀하셨습니다. “내가 너와 함께 있다. 나는 너를 실망시키지도 버리지도 않을 것이다.” 이 일은 제 삶을 완전히 변화시켰습니다. 이 말씀은 저에게 한가지를 확신시켜 주었습니다. 하나님은 의지할 만한 분입니다. 그 날 저는 앉아있던 자리에서 일어나며 영원히 변화된 사람이 되었습니다.
저는 황홀했습니다. 아브라함, 이삭, 야곱의 하나님, 예언자들과 사도들의 하나님, 우리 주 예수 그리스도의 아버지 하나님이 저와 함께 계셨습니다! 하나님은 제 안에 살아 계시며 저에게 실제로 존재하는 분이셨습니다. 그분은 성경의 하나님일 뿐만 아니라 저의 하나님이기도 하셨습니다. 할렐루야!
생각해 보십시오. 성경은 선지자와 사도들이 그들의 시대에 믿음의 행동과 삶으로 좋은 평판을 얻었다고 말합니다. 사도들은 아브라함, 이삭, 야곱, 다윗, 입다, 모세, 엘리야 등과 같은 믿음의 조상들에 대해 읽으며 영감을 얻었습니다. 또한 우리는 믿음의 조상들에 대해서도 읽지만, 베드로, 야고보, 요한, 바울 등의 사도들에게도 영감을 얻습니다.
하지만 여기서 그쳐서는 안 됩니다. 당신의 시대는 어떻겠습니까? 당신의 이야기는 어떻게 펼쳐지겠습니까? 그 이야기는 어떻게 쓰여질 것입니까? 믿음의 조상들이 좋은 평판을 얻은 것처럼 우리도 이 시대에 좋은 평판을 얻어야 합니다. 젊은 세대가 우리에게 “엘리야의 하나님이나 바울의 하나님은 어디 계시느냐?”라고 묻게 해서는 안 됩니다. 그분은 우리의 하나님이기도 하십니다.
우리는 믿음의 행동을 통해 엘리야의 하나님을 우리 시대에도 나타내야 합니다. 우리는 그리스도를 기록된 말씀 이상으로 받아들이고 그분의 영광을 우리 세대에 나타내야 합니다. 하나님은 어제나 오늘이나 영원토록 동일하시기 때문입니다!
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 내 영을 고무시켜 세상을 변화시킬 수 있는 믿음을 주시니 감사합니다. 나는 믿음으로 이 시대에서 좋은 평판을 얻습니다. 나는 믿음의 행동을 통해 왕국을 위한 초자연적인 업적을 성취합니다. 나는 무슨 일을 하든 평범하기를 거절합니다. 내 삶은 하나님의 찬란한 영광의 표현이기 때문입니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

MANIFESTING HIS GLORY IN OUR DAY
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report (Hebrews 11:1-2).
One day, while I was still very young, the Lord said to me, “I’m with you. I will not fail you or forsake you.” This was life-transforming for me. With this information, I was certain of one thing: God was dependable. I got up from where I was sitting that day, a changed person forever.
I was ecstatic because the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; the God of the prophets and the apostles; the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ was with me! He’s real in me and to me. He isn’t only the God of the Bible, but my God as well. Hallelujah!
Think about it: In the days of the prophets and the apostles, the Bible says they obtained a good report by their life and actions of faith. The apostles were inspired when they read of the elders like Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, David, Jephthah, Moses, Elijah, and more. We also read of the elders, but we are further inspired by the likes of Peter, James, John, Paul, and the others.
It however shouldn’t stop there. What will your days be like? What’s your story going to be? How will it be written? Just as the elders obtained a good report, we also have to obtain good reports in our day. We shouldn’t have the young generation ask us: “Where’s the God of Elijah or the God of Paul?” He’s our God as well.
We have to bring the God of Elijah to our day through our actions of faith. We have to take Christ beyond the written pages and manifest His glory to our generation, for He is the same yesterday, today and forever!
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for faith that’s stirred in my spirit to change my world. By faith, I obtain good reports in my day, as I accomplish supernatural feats for the Kingdom through my actions of faith. I refuse to be mediocre in any way, because my life is the manifestation of your resplendent glory, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
