예수님은 주님이시며 그리스도이십니다
JESUS IS LORD AND CHRIST
“그런즉 이스라엘 온 집은 확실히 알지니 너희가 십자가에 못 박은 이 예수를 하나님이 주와 그리스도가 되게 하셨느니라 하니라”(행 2:36)
예수님을 주님이라고 말할 때, 이는 다른 말로 주인 곧 다른 사람들 보다 위에 계신 분이라는 의미입니다. 예수님은 주님이자 그리스도이십니다! 그분은 주 그리스도 또는 그리스도 주님이라고 불릴 수 있습니다. 이 사실은 그리스도라는 단어의 의미 때문에 중요합니다.
그리스도는 그리스어 “크리스토스(Christos)”에서 유래했으며, 히브리어로 “메시아(Messiah)”라는 단어와 동일합니다. 다만 메시아는 “기름부음 받은 자”를 의미하며, 구원자가 되실 분을 뜻합니다. 따라서 예수님은 하나님의 기름부음 받은 분이시며, 이 땅의 구원을 위해 보내심 받으신 분입니다. 예수님께서 태어나실 때 천사들이 그 소식을 목자들에게 전하며 말했습니다. “오늘 다윗의 동네에 너희를 위하여 구주가 나셨으니 곧 그리스도 주시니라”(눅2:11).
베드로는 오늘의 본문 구절에 나와있는 것처럼 예루살렘에 있는 유대인들에게 이 놀라운 진리를 담대하게 선포했습니다. “…너희가 십자가에 못 박은 이 예수를 하나님이 주와 그리스도가 되게 하셨느니라.” 할렐루야! 요한복음 4장에서는 사마리아 여자의 증언을 듣고 그 도시의 많은 사마리아 사람들이 찾아와 예수님의 말씀을 직접 듣고 확인한 후, 그 여자에게 말했습니다. “이제 우리가 믿는 것은 네 말로 인함이 아니니 이는 우리가 친히 듣고 그가 참으로 세상의 구주신 줄 앎이라 하였더라”(요4:42). 할렐루야!
예수님이 그리스도이심을 믿는 것은 매우 중요합니다. 이 진리를 믿지 않고는 구원이 없기 때문입니다. 예수님은 많은 “그리스도들” 중 한 분이 아닙니다. “다른 그리스도”는 없습니다. 예수님이 그리스도이십니다! 그리고 성경은 말합니다. “예수께서 그리스도이심을 믿는 자마다 하나님께로부터 난 자니…”(요일5:1). 당신의 구원은 이 진리에 달려 있습니다. 예수님은 주님이시며 그리스도이십니다. 어디에서나 이 진리를 선포하십시오! 하나님을 영원히 찬양합니다!
기도
그리스도 나의 주님, 당신을 나의 주인이자 통치자로 인정합니다. 당신은 지극히 높으신 권세와 탁월함을 가지신 분입니다. 나는 온 마음을 다해 믿고 내 입으로 선포합니다. 당신은 내 삶에 관련된 모든 환경과 모든 일 위에 계시는 주님이십니다. 아멘.

JESUS IS LORD AND CHRIST
“Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ”(Acts 2:36).
When we say Jesus is Lord, it means Master; one who’s over others. He’s Lord and Christ! He can also be called Lord Christ or Christ the Lord. This is important because of the meaning of the word Christ.
Christ is from the Greek word “Christos” and it’s the equivalent of the word “Messiah” in Hebrew. But Messiah means “anointed one” who becomes the Saviour. So, Jesus is God’s anointed One, sent for the salvation of the world. When He was born, the angels brought the tidings of it to the shepherds and said, “For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord” (Luke 2:11).
Also, Peter boldly declared this incredible truth to the Jews in Jerusalem, as read in our theme verse; he said, “…God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.” Hallelujah! In John 4, based on the testimony of the Samaritan woman, many of the Samaritans of the city came to hear Jesus for a first-hand confirmation, and they said to the woman, “Now we believe, not because of thy saying: for we have heard him ourselves, and know that this is indeed the Christ, the Saviour of the world” (John 4:42). Hallelujah!
Believing that Jesus is Christ is very important, because without that there’s no salvation. Jesus isn’t one of the “Christs”; there’s no such thing as “other Christs”; Jesus is the CHRIST! And the Bible says, “Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God…” (1 John 5:1). Your salvation is hinged on this. Jesus is both Lord and Christ; proclaim it everywhere! Praise God forever!
PRAYER
Christ the Lord, I recognize as my Master and Ruler; the One with supreme authority and preeminence. I believe with all my heart and declare with my mouth that you’re Lord over every circumstance and everything that has to do with my life. Amen.
