복음의 비전을 가지십시오
Be Visionary With The Gospel
“나는 예루살렘에서부터 시작해 멀리 그리스 북서지방에 이르기까지, 두루 다니며 예수에 대한 메시지를 전해왔습니다. 이는 전적으로 개척의 일이었습니다. 나는 아직 예수를 알거나 예배해 본 적 없는 곳으로만 그 메시지를 들고 갔습니다.”(롬 15:19-20, 메시지성경)
바울은 개척자이자 비전을 가진 사도였습니다. 오늘의 본문 구절에서 읽은 내용은 그리스도가 전해지지 않은 지역에서 복음을 전파하고 나누려는 바울의 태도와 열정을 보여줍니다. 그는 아직 회심하지 않은 영혼들에게 영광스러운 복음을 전하는 일에 선두에 선 사람이었습니다.
한글킹제임스 번역본은 오늘의 본문 구절을 다음과 같이 번역합니다. “또 나는 그리스도의 이름이 불려지지 아니한 곳에서만 복음을 전파하려고 노력하였으니, 이는 다른 사람의 기초 위에다 짓지 아니하려 함이라.”(롬 15:20) 기본적으로 바울은 어디를 가든지 그곳에 그리스도의 이름이 알려졌는지 알아봤습니다. 그리고 그 도시에 복음이 세워진 사실을 확인하면 그는 메시지가 아직 전해지지 않은 새로운 도시나 지역으로 이동해서 사역을 시작했습니다. 이것이 바울이 했던 사역이었습니다. 계속해서 커지는 비전입니다!
바울이 다른 지역은 신경 쓰지 않고 그리스도가 전파되지 않은 곳만 찾아다닌 것은 아닙니다. 오늘의 본문 구절 전에 그가 말한 내용을 읽어보십시오. “그리스도께서 이방인들을 순종하게 하기 위하여 나를 통하여 역사하신 것 외에는 내가 감히 말하지 아니하노라 그 일은 말과 행위로 표적과 기사의 능력으로 성령의 능력으로 이루어졌으며 그리하여 내가 예루살렘으로부터 두루 행하여 일루리곤까지 그리스도의 복음을 편만하게 전하였노라”(롬 15:18-19) 이 말씀에 대해 생각해보십시오!
바울의 비전처럼 당신이 사는 도시의 지도를 펴서 복음의 빛이 여전히 희미하거나 존재하지 않는 곳을 찾아보고 복음을 가지고 움직이려는 목표를 가지십시오. 만일 그곳이 당신이 물리적으로 갈 수 없는 지역이라면 성경과 말씀의 실재를 보내십시오.
이 왕국 복음이 모든 민족에게 증거되기 위하여 온 세상에 전파될 것이고, 그런 후에야 끝이 올 것입니다(마 24:14). 이는 예수님의 말씀입니다. 이 말씀이 당신을 위한 개인적인 말씀이어야 합니다. 당신이 영향력을 끼칠 수 있는 지역만 아니라 그 이상에서도 복음을 전파하는데 열정을 가지십시오.
복음이 없다고 알고 있는 지역에서 새로운 셀, 교제, 교회를 개척하십시오. 당신이 목회자나 셀리더라면 특별한 사람이 되십시오. 비전을 가진 리더가 되십시오. 복음을 위한 새로운 개척자들을 세우십시오. 주님의 명령은 여전히 유효합니다. 그분은 “너희는 온 천하에 다니며 만민에게 복음을 전파하라”(막 16:15)고 말씀하셨습니다.
아직 이 복음을 듣지 못한 영혼들이 있습니다. 당신의 비전을 더 크게 만들고 복음이 전해지지 않은 곳으로 복음을 가지고 신속히 가십시오. 복음을 전할 수 있는 모든 기회를 활용하십시오. 추수가 준비되었습니다. 할렐루야!
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 나에게 복음 사역을 맡겨 주시니 감사합니다. 나를 통해 복음의 빛이 도시, 지역, 나라를 밝게 비추고, 아직 주님을 모르는 사람들을 구원하고 영생을 나누어 주셔서 감사드립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

BE VISIONARY WITH THE GOSPEL
“In such ways I have trailblazed a preaching of the Message of Jesus all the way from Jerusalem far into northwestern Greece. This has all been pioneer work, bringing the Message only into those places where Jesus was not yet known and worshiped” (Romans 15:19-20 MSG).
Paul was a trailblazer, a visionary apostle. What we read in our opening verse reveals his mindset and passion to preach and share the Gospel in places where Christ hadn’t been known. He was in the vanguard of taking the glorious Gospel to new, unconverted souls.
Wherever Paul went, he began to research if Christ’s name had already been known in such a place. And when he found that the Gospel had been established in that city, he simply moved into new cities and regions where the message wasn’t known, and pioneered the work. This was the kind of ministry that Paul had: ever-increasing vision!
It wasn’t that Paul was ignoring other places and looking only for places where Christ hadn’t been preached; no! Read the statement he made before what we read in our opening scripture; he said, “…from Jerusalem, and round about unto Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel of Christ” (Romans 15:19). Think about that!
Emulate Paul’s kind of vision, where you take the map of your city and research to know where the light of the Gospel is still dim or non-existent, with the goal of moving in with the Gospel. If there’re places you can’t go physically, you send in Bibles and Rhapsody of Realities.
“…This Gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations, and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14). Those are the words of Jesus; they must be personal to you. Be passionate about spreading the message of the Gospel, not just in your catchment but also to the regions beyond. Pioneer new cells, fellowships and churches in places where you’re aware they don’t exist. The Lord’s mandate is still in force. He said, “…Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15).
Utilize every opportunity to preach the Gospel. The harvest is ready. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for committing to my trust the ministry of the Gospel. Through me, the light of the Gospel shines brightly in cities, regions and nations, resulting in salvation and impartation of eternal life to many who have never known you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
