Music Is Beyond Lyrics
“하나님이 모세에게 말씀하여 이르시되 나는 여호와이니라 내가 아브라함과 이삭과 야곱에게 전능의 하나님으로 나타났으나 나의 이름을 여호와로는 그들에게 알리지 아니하였고”(출 6:2-3)
수년 동안 하나님의 집에 침투하여 사람들의 삶을 망친 것들이 있습니다. 그리고 많은 사람들은 그것들에 대해 전혀 모르고 있습니다. 예를 들어, 오늘날 일부 교회에서 다양한 음악과 춤 스타일은 어디에서 유래된 것입니까? 그런 음악과 춤 뒤에는 어떤 영들이 있습니까? 특정 음악 혹은 춤 뒤에 있는 영이 중요합니다.
예를 들어, 어떤 그리스도인이 레게 음악을 부르거나 레게 음악에 맞춰 춤 추기를 좋아한다면, 레게 음악을 좋아하는 만큼 “레게 음악은 어디에서 왔을까?”라는 생각을 해야 합니다. 음악은 그저 가사만 있는 것이 아닙니다. 착각하지 마십시오. 음악의 소리는 음악의 근원만큼이나 중요합니다.
특정 음악은 사람들이 깨닫지 못하는 새에 그들의 삶에 마귀를 끌어들입니다. 하나님은 우리 삶의 특정 시간 동안 우리에게 허용하는 일이 있으며, 잠시 후 그분은 그것이 그분의 허락된 뜻 안에 있다는 것을 알고 변화를 요구하실 것입니다. 변화를 가져오면 기꺼이 받아들여야 합니다.
우리는 오늘의 본문 구절에서 하나님께서 모세에게 말씀하신 내용을 봅니다. “아브라함, 이삭, 야곱은 나를 엘 샤다이로 알았다. 그들은 나를 여호와로 알지 못했지만, 나는 여호와다.” 모세는 엘 샤다이에 관한 계시로는 이스라엘 백성들을 이집트에서 데리고 나올 수 없습니다. 그에게는 “여호와”에 대한 계시가 필요했습니다. 그리고 모세는 여호와의 손으로 이스라엘 백성들을 이집트에서 구출했습니다. 바로 그것이 모세에게 주어진 계시의 목적이었습니다.
마찬가지로 우리가 주님의 재림을 준비하면서 성령님의 인도와 그분의 말씀에 대한 계시에 기반하여 꼭 바꿔야 하는 것들이 있습니다. 특히 음악을 통해 그분이 우리에게 원하시는 살고, 섬기고, 그분을 예배하는 방식이 있습니다. 우리의 심령은 열려 있어야 하며 그분의 인도와 교정을 기꺼이 받아들여야 합니다. 하나님을 찬양합니다!

사랑하는 아버지, 이 지혜와 훈련의 보물을 저에게 보여주시고 내가 주님을 예배하는 가운데 의 안에서 행할 수 있도록 내 영에 영적 실재에 대해 알려주셔서 감사합니다. 나의 찬양과 예배는 당신께 드리는 달콤한 향기의 제사입니다. 그것들은 모든 세상적인 것들과 불순물로부터 씻겨진 나의 마음에서 드리는 것이기 때문입니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

MUSIC IS BEYOND LYRICS
“And God spake unto Moses, and said unto him, I am the LORD: And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them” (Exodus 6:2-3).
There’re some things that have crept into the house of God for many years, ruining people’s lives and many never knew. For example, some of the different styles of music and dance in some churches today, where did they come from? What spirits are behind such music and dance? The spirit behind certain music or dance is the significance of it.
If, for instance, a Christian likes to sing or dance to Reggae music, as much as we may appreciate Reggae music, the question would be, “What’s the source of Reggae music?” Music isn’t just the lyrics; make no mistakes about it. The sound of music is important just as the source is important.
Certain music could attract demons into people’s lives without them knowing. There’re things that God allows us to do for a certain time of our lives, and after a while He’ll demand a change, knowing that it was within His permissive will. When He brings in that change, we must be willing to embrace it.
We read in our theme scripture what He said to Moses. He said to him, “Abraham, Isaac and Jacob knew me as El Shaddai; they didn’t know me as Jehovah; but I am Jehovah.” Why was this important? By the revelation of EL Shaddai, Moses wouldn’t be able to bring the children of Israel out of Egypt. Moses would need the “Jehovah” revelation, and by the hand of Jehovah, he’d deliver the children of Israel out of Egypt. That’s the purpose of the revelation that was given to Moses.
Likewise, as we prepare for the coming of the Lord, there’re certain things we must change based on the guidance of the Spirit and revelation from His Word. There’s a way He wants us to live, serve and worship Him, especially through music. We must be open and willing to receive His guidance and correction. Praise God!
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for unveiling to me these treasures of wisdom and training, and for educating my spirit on spiritual realities, to walk in righteousness in my worship of you. My sacrifice of praise and worship come to you as sweet-smelling savour, because they’re offered from a heart washed from all worldliness and impurities, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
