Love Like Christ
“무엇보다도 뜨겁게 서로 사랑할지니 사랑은 허다한 죄를 덮느니라”(벧전 4:8)
만일 누군가가 당신을 속상하게 만들거나 불쾌하게 한다면, 억울해 하거나 화내지 말고 그 일을 문제 삼지 마십시오. 예수님은 어떻게 사랑 안에서 행해야 하는지 좋은 본보기를 보여주셨습니다. 그분은 자신을 참소하거나 박해하는 자들을 포함한 모든 사람들을 사랑하셨습니다. 그리고나서 그분은 우리에게 마태복음 5:43-44에서 “또 네 이웃을 사랑하고 네 원수를 미워하라 하였다는 것을 너희가 들었으나 나는 너희에게 이르노니 너희 원수를 사랑하며 너희를 박해하는 자를 위하여 기도하라”고 말씀하셨습니다.
주님을 닮으십시오. 사랑의 언어와 문화를 가지십시오. 모든 사람을 무조건적으로 사랑하십시오. 성경은 말합니다. “이를 위하여 너희가 부르심을 받았으니 그리스도도 너희를 위하여 고난을 받으사 너희에게 본을 끼쳐 그 자취를 따라오게 하려 하셨느니라 그는 죄를 범하지 아니하시고 그 입에 거짓도 없으시며 욕을 당하시되 맞대어 욕하지 아니하시고 고난을 당하시되 위협하지 아니하시고 오직 공의로 심판하시는 이에게 부탁하시며”(벧전 2:21-23)
어떤 사람이 “당신이 존경하는 사람들이 당신에게 상처를 준다면 어떻게 해야 합니까?” 라고 물을 수도 있습니다. 그럼에도 불구하고 그들을 존중하십시오. 당신이 여전히 상처받을 수 있는 자리에서 벗어나십시오. 하나님의 말씀 안에서 행하십시오. 그리스도처럼 살고, 그리스도처럼 사랑하십시오. “그러므로 사랑을 받는 자녀 같이 너희는 하나님을 본받는 자가 되고 그리스도께서 너희를 사랑하신 것 같이 너희도 사랑 가운데서 행하라 그는 우리를 위하여 자신을 버리사 향기로운 제물과 희생제물로 하나님께 드리셨느니라”(엡 5:1-2)
고린도전서 13:4-8(한글킹제임스)는 말합니다. “사랑은 오래 참고, 친절하며, 사랑은 시기하지 아니하고, 사랑은 자랑하지 아니하며, 교만하지 아니하고, 무례하게 행하지 아니하며, 자신의 유익을 추구하지 아니하고, 급히 성내지 아니하며, 악을 생각하지 아니하고, 불의를 기뻐하지 아니하며, 진리를 기뻐하고, 모든 것을 참으며, 모든 것을 믿고, 모든 것을 바라며, 모든 것을 견뎌내느니라. 사랑은 결코 시들지 아니하나…”
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 온전함의 띠이시며 항상 내 마음을 다스리시는 그리스도의 사랑에 감사드립니다. 나는 당신의 사랑의 본성을 아낌없이 표현하고, 천국의 아름다움과 영광을 내 세상에 나타냅니다. 나는 어떤 공격에도 굴하지 않고 언제나 배려하고 친절합니다. 나는 내 심령에 아낌없이 흐르고 있는 당신의 사랑의 우산으로 다른 사람들을 덮어줍니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

LOVE LIKE CHRIST
“Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins” (1 Peter 4:8 NIV).
If someone does something that upsets or offends you, rather than become bitter or enraged, let it go. Jesus showed us a good example of how to walk in love. He loved everyone, including His accusers and persecutors. Then He tells us in Matthew 5:44, “But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.”
Emulate the Master. Have the love language and culture. Love everyone unconditionally. The Bible says, “For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps: Who did no sin, neither was guile found in his mouth: Who, when he was reviled, reviled not again; when he suffered, he threatened not; but committed himself to him that judgeth righteously” (1 Peter 2:21-23).
Someone once asked, “In the case where the people you respect are those that hurt you, what should you do?” Honour them nonetheless. Love them. Grow out of that place where you can still be hurt. Live in God’s Word. Live like Christ and love like Him: “Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savour” (Ephesians 5:1-2).
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 AMPC says, “Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily. It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong]. It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail. Love bears up under anything and everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures everything [without weakening]. Love never fails [never fades out or becomes obsolete or comes to an end]….”
PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for the love of Christ which is the bond of perfection and which rules my heart always. I lavishly express your love-nature and radiate the beauty and glories of heaven to my world. Always, I rise above offences, being accommodating and kind; I cover others with the umbrella of your love that flows lavishly from the castle of my heart, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
