We Don’t Live By Blood
“예수를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 이의 영이 너희 안에 거하시면 그리스도 예수를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 이가 너희 안에 거하시는 그의 영으로 말미암아 너희 죽을 몸도 살리시리라”(롬 8:11)
레위기 17:11은 말합니다. “육체의 생명은 피에 있음이라…” 당신이 거듭나기 전에는 당신의 몸은 피로 살아갔습니다. 하지만 거듭나고 성령을 받은 날부터 당신은 하나님의 생명, 곧 피에 의지하지 않는 생명을 받았습니다. 비로소 당신은 요한복음 1:12-13이 말하는 유익을 누릴 수 있습니다. “영접하는 자 곧 그 이름을 믿는 자들에게는 하나님의 자녀가 되는 권세를 주셨으니 이는 혈통으로나 육정으로나 사람의 뜻으로 나지 아니하고 오직 하나님께로부터 난 자들이니라”
당신이 하나님으로부터 태어났다면, 당신은 더 이상 인간이 아닙니다. 당신은 신성한 존재입니다. 피를 통해 몸 안에서 살아가는 옛날의 방식은 더 이상 존재하지 않습니다. 옛 생명은 성령의 생명으로 대체되었습니다. 마가복음 16:18에서 예수님이 이렇게 말씀하신 것은 놀라운 일이 아닙니다. “…무슨 독을 마실지라도 해를 받지 아니하며…”
혈관을 통해 당신 안으로 들어오는 어떠한 독도 당신을 완전히 파괴할 만큼 강력하지 않습니다. 당신 안에 있는 생명은 파괴될 수 없는 생명이기 때문입니다. 이 생명은 성령의 생명입니다! 이 진리를 이해하지 못한 사람들은 평범한 인간의 삶을 살아갑니다. 그렇기 때문에 그들은 아픔, 질병, 연약함, 실패, 결핍과 이 어두운 세상의 타락한 영향력에 휘둘리고 공격을 받습니다.
평범한 사람처럼 생각하고, 말하고, 행동하고 살아가기를 거부하십시오. 그렇지 않으면 당신은 인간이 겪는 고통을 고스란히 겪게 될 것입니다. 시편 82:5-7에 나와있는 시편 기자의 슬픔이 당신 삶의 현실이 되게 두지 마십시오. “그들은 알지도 못하고 깨닫지도 못하여 흑암 중에 왕래하니 땅의 모든 터가 흔들리도다. 내가 말하기를 너희는 신들이며 다 지존자의 아들들이라 하였으나 그러나 너희는 사람처럼 죽으며 고관의 하나 같이 넘어지리로다” 오히려 하나님의 생명인 신성한 생명으로 살아가십시오. 당신은 하나님으로부터 났습니다. 이 사실은 당신을 신과 같은 존재로 만듭니다. 신들은 피로 말미암아 살지 않습니다! 할렐루야!
고백
나는 이 세상과 그 시스템 위에서 삽니다. 나는 아픔과 질병과 이 어두운 세상의 타락한 영향력 위에서 살아갑니다. 그리스도를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 성령의 능력이 내 육신을 소생시키고 생명을 주셨습니다. 나는 그리스도 예수 안에서 초자연적인 영광의 삶을 살아갑니다. 아멘!

WE DON’T LIVE BY BLOOD
“But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you” (Romans 8:11).
Leviticus 17:11 says, “For the life of the flesh is in the blood….” Before you were born again, your body lived by blood. But from the day you were born again and received the Holy Spirit, you received the God-life that doesn’t require blood for its sustenance. Now, you can better appreciate what the Bible says in John 1:12-13: “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God… Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
When you’re born of God, you’re not human; you’re divine. That old system of having life in your body through your blood ceased to be; it was replaced by the life of the Holy Spirit. No wonder Jesus said in Mark 16:18, “…if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them….”
There’s no poison that gets into your system through the blood vessels that’s potent enough to wreak a havoc. This is because the life in you is indestructible—it’s the life of the Holy Spirit! Those who don’t understand this truth live the ordinary human life. That’s the reason they can be buffeted and affected by sickness, disease, infirmities, failure, lack and the corrupting influences of this present world of darkness.
Refuse to think, talk, and act or live like a mere human being; otherwise, you’ll suffer what humans suffer. Don’t let the lamentation of the Psalmist in Psalm 82:5-7 describe the reality of your life. It says, “They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course. I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High. But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.” Rather, live the God-life, the divine life, because you’re born of God, which makes you a god. Gods don’t live by blood! Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
I live above this world and its systems, above sickness, disease and the corrupting forces of this present world of darkness. The power of the Spirit that raised Christ from the dead has vitalized and given life to my physical body. I live the transcendent life of glory in Christ Jesus. Amen!
