Avail Yourself Of His Power In You
“또 그의 강력한 능력의 역사하심을 따라, 믿는 우리에게 향하신 그의 능력의 지극히 위대하심이 어떤 것인가를 너희로 알게 하시기를 원하노라.”(엡 1:19, 한글킹제임스)
오늘의 본문 구절에서 성령님은 사도 바울을 통해 에베소에 있는 그리스도인들이 그들 안에 역사하시는 하나님의 능력의 위대함을 알도록 기도하셨습니다. 물론 모든 사람이 하나님은 전능하시다는 것을 압니다. 천국에 하나님이 계시다면, 그분은 분명히 전능하실 것이라고 생각합니다. 그러나 그 능력이 당신을 향하고 있습니까? 당신이 그 능력을 사용할 수 있습니까?
바로 그것이 바울이 말한 바였습니다. 바울은 당신이 지금 삶에서 그 능력을 활용하고 당신의 목적을 위해 사용할 수 있음을 알기 원합니다. 바울은 당신을 위해 역사하는 하나님의 능력을 알고 인식하기를 원합니다.
그 능력은 하나님이 예수님을 죽은 자들 가운데서 살리셨을 때 보여주신 능력입니다. 오늘의 본문 구절의 후반부는 우리가 그분 안에서 가지고 있는 권세에 대해 말합니다. 22절과 23절은 말합니다. “또 만물을 그의 발 아래에 복종하게 하시고 그를 만물 위에 교회의 머리로 삼으셨느니라 교회는 그의 몸이니 만물 안에서 만물을 충만하게 하시는 이의 충만함이니라”(엡 1:22-23). 이 구절은 우리에 대해 말하고 있습니다! 그분은 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 당신의 권세의 능력을 알려주고 계십니다.
당신이 그리스도의 통치권과 모든 것을 복종시키고 제한이 없는 그분의 권세를 가지고 있다는 사실을 이해한다면, 당신은 결코 사탄이나 사람 혹은 그 무엇에 대해서도 두려워하지 않을 것입니다. 당신은 다윗처럼 생각하고 말하게 될 것입니다. “내가 사망의 음침한 골짜기로 다닐지라도 해를 두려워하지 않을 것은…”(시 23:4) “여호와는 나의 빛이요 나의 구원이시니 내가 누구를 두려워하리요 여호와는 내 생명의 능력이시니 내가 누구를 무서워하리요… 군대가 나를 대적하여 진 칠지라도 내 마음이 두렵지 아니하며…”(시 27:1,3) 할렐루야!
고백
나는 권세와 능력의 자리에 그리스도와 함께 앉아 있습니다. 나는 그분의 통치권과 모든 것을 복종시키고 제한이 없는 권세를 가지고 있습니다. 주 예수님이 나에게 사탄과 그의 무리에 대한 완전한 권세를 주셨으므로 내 안에는 두려움이 있을 수 없습니다. 나는 하나님의 영광을 위해 이 땅을 다스리도록 만들어졌습니다. 할렐루야!

AVAIL YOURSELF OF HIS POWER IN YOU
And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power (Ephesians 1:19).
In the scripture above, the Spirit, through the Apostle Paul, prayed for the Christians at Ephesus that they’d know the exceeding greatness of God’s power at work in them. Of course, everybody knows God is powerful; if there’s a God in heaven, He must be powerful. But is that power directed towards you? Is that power available for your use?
That’s what Paul was talking about. He wants you to come to the point where you know that the power of God is available for your use, for your application in the “now” of your life. He wants you to have the knowledge and be conscious that it’s the power of God that’s working in our behalf. That’s the power He demonstrated when He raised Jesus from the dead.
The second part of the opening scripture talks about the authority that we have in Him. Verses 22
and 23 says, “And hath put all things under his (Jesus’)
feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all” (Ephesians 1:22-23). That’s us! He’s letting you know the power of your authority in Christ Jesus.
When you come to understand that you have His dominion, His all-encompassing and unlimited authority, you’ll never be afraid of Satan, man, or anything. You’d think and talk like David who said,
“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil…” (Psalm 23:4). “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?…Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear…” (Psalm 27:1, 3). Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
I’m seated with Christ in the place of power, in a position of authority. I have His dominion?allencompassing and unlimited authority. Fear has no place in me, for the Lord Jesus has given me complete authority over Satan and his cohorts. I’ve been designed to rule the earth for the glory of God.
