구출되고 옮겨졌습니다
Delivered And Translated
“우리로 하여금 빛 가운데서 성도의 기업의 부분을 얻기에 합당하게 하신 아버지께 감사하게 하시기를 원하노라 그가 우리를 흑암의 권세에서 건져내사 그의 사랑의 아들의 나라로 옮기셨으니”(골 1:12-13)
많은 사람들이 언젠가 주님께서 어둠의 권세에서 우리를 은혜롭게 건져내 주실 것이라고 생각하고 믿습니다. 그러나 성령을 통해 바울은 오늘의 본문 구절에서 이 일이 이미 일어났음을 알려줍니다. 아버지는 우리에게 빛의 왕국에 속한 성도의 유업에 참여할 자격을 주셨을 뿐 아니라, 우리를 흑암의 권세에서 “구출하여” 그분의 사랑의 아들의 왕국으로 옮겨 주셨습니다. 얼마나 영광스러운 소식입니까!
오늘의 본문 구절에서 과거 시제를 사용한 것에 주목하십시오. “… 그가 우리를 흑암의 권세에서 건져내사(hath delivered) 그의 사랑의 아들의 나라로 옮기셨으니.” 그러므로 항상 구출되기를 바라고 있는 사람은 그저 무지하게 행동하고 있는 것입니다. 그것은 하나님의 진리와 일치하지 않습니다.
하나님의 사람들은 사탄이나 어둠의 권세로부터 구출될 필요가 없습니다. 몇몇 사람들이 구출이 필요하다고 생각하는 것은 그들의 무지 때문이며, 그에 대한 해결책은 하나님의 말씀에 대한 지식입니다. “… 의인은 그의 지식으로 말미암아 구원을 얻느니라”(잠 11:9).
거듭난 당신은 사탄의 관할이나 권세 아래 있지 않습니다. 그러나 그것은 최고로 좋은 것은 아닙니다. 하나님이 당신을 “구출”하거나 빼내신 것은 당신을 떠나기 위해서가 아니라 데려 오기 위해서 였습니다. 그분은 어둠과 악한 세력과 그 모든 행위에서 당신을 빼내서 그분의 사랑의 아들의 영광스러운 왕국으로 옮기셨습니다.
따라서 당신이 거듭나지 않은 사람과 같은 건물이나 동네, 도시, 사무실에서 일한다고 할지라도 당신이 그 사람과 같은 “장소”에 있는 것은 아닙니다. 당신은 그리스도 안에 있지만, 그는 이 세상과 어둠의 왕국과 사탄의 통치권 안에 있습니다.
당신은 그리스도 예수 안에서 함께 일으켜지고 함께 하늘에 앉혀졌습니다. 그 자리가 지금 당신이 있는 곳입니다. 바로 영광과 능력과 다스림과 권세의 자리입니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!
고백
하나님을 송축합니다! 나는 하나님의 사랑의 아들의 왕국, 그분의 빛과 다스림 안에 영원히 삽니다! 나는 사탄에 대한 통치권을 행사하며 성령의 능력으로 세상과 상황을 다스리는 영광의 영역에서 그리스도와 함께 왕위에 앉아있습니다. 할렐루야!

DELIVERED AND TRANSLATED
Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son (Colossians 1:12-13).
Many assume and believe that one day, in the sweet-by-and-by, the Lord will graciously deliver us from the power of darkness. But Paul, by the Spirit, lets us know in our opening verse, that it’s already happened. Not only has the Father qualified us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the Kingdom of light, He’s also “delivered” us from the power of darkness, and translated us into the Kingdom of His Love-son. Glorious news!
Notice the tenses used; they’re all in past: “Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness…and hath translated us….” That’s why those who seek deliverance day in day out are just acting ignorantly.
It’s inconsistent with God’s present truth.
God’s people don’t need deliverance from Satan or the powers of darkness. The only deliverance some may need is from ignorance, and the cure for that is the knowledge of God’s Word: “…through knowledge shall the just be delivered” (Proverbs 11:9).
Being born again, you’re not under Satan’s jurisdiction or authority. But that isn’t even the best part, because God doesn’t just “deliver” or bring you out to leave you; He brings you out to bring you in!
Having taken you away from the domain of darkness, evil powers and all their works, He TRANSLATED you into the glorious Kingdom of the Son of His love.
Therefore, that you’re in the same compound or live in the same street or city, or work in the same office with someone who isn’t born again doesn’t mean you’re in the same “place.” You’re in Christ; they are of this world?in the kingdom of darkness, under Satan’s dominion. You’ve been raised up together, and made to sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. That’s where you are now: a place of glory, power, dominion, and authority. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
Blessed be God! I live in the Kingdom of God’s Love-son, in His Light and dominion forever! I’m enthroned with Christ, in the realms of glory, where I exercise dominion over Satan, rule over the world and circumstances by the power of the Holy Spirit.
