기도에 더욱 관심을 기울이십시오
Give More Attention To Prayer
“그러므로 너희 죄를 서로 고백하며 병이 낫기를 위하여 서로 기도하라 의인의 간구는 역사하는 힘이 큼이니라”(약 5:16)
마태복음 17장은 예수님의 제자들이 치유하지 못했던 간질을 앓던 소년의 이야기를 들려줍니다. 결국 소년의 아버지는 아이를 예수님께로 데려왔습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “예수께서 꾸짖으시니 귀신이 나가고 아이가 그 때부터 나으니라”(마 17:18).
제자들은 멍 해진 채로 예수님께 가서 자신들은 왜 귀신을 내쫓을 수 없었는지 질문했습니다. 예수님은 이렇게 대답하셨습니다. “너희가 믿지 않기 때문이라. 진실로 내가 너희에게 말하노니 너희에게 겨자씨 한 알만한 믿음이 있다면, 너희가 이 산에서 말하여 ‘여기서 저리로 옮겨져라’ 하면 옮겨질 것이요, 또 너희에게 불가능한 일이 전혀 없을 것이라. 그러나 이런 종류는 기도와 금식에 의하지 않고는 나가지 아니하느리라”(마 17:20-21, 한글킹제임스).
예수님의 대답은 우리에게 어떤 준비가 필요한지에 대한 아이디어를 줍니다. 당신이 영 안에서 끼치기 원하는 영향력은 당신이 어떻게 기도에 임하는지에 따라 결정될 것입니다. 예를 들어, 당신이 어떤 것을 창조하기 위해서는 기도 가운데 더 많은 열렬한 교제가 필요할 것입니다.
이것이 바로 우리가 개인적인 기도 시간, 즉 주님과 시간을 보내기 위해 모든 일과 사람을 차단하는 것을 강조하는 이유입니다. 계획적으로 시간을 정해 놓고 탄탄한 기도 시간을 만드십시오. 주님과의 개인적인 교제를 위해 어떤 것에도 방해 받지 않는 양질의 시간을 계획하십시오. 특히 이 마지막 때에 기도에 더욱 많은 관심을 기울이십시오.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 기도하고 교제하는 가운데 의도적인 변화를 일으킬 수 있는 기회에 감사드립니다. 나는 전 세계의 잃어버린 영혼들의 마음에서 어둠의 장막이 걷히고 그들이 복음을 받아들이게 되도록 기도합니다. 또한 나는 복음의 사역이 강력해져서 더 많은 성도들이 이 위대한 사역을 위해 온전해짐을 선포합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

Give More Attention To Prayer
…The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working] (James 5:16 AMPC).
Matthew 17 recounts the story of an epileptic boy whom Jesus’ disciples couldn’t heal. He was eventually brought by his father to Jesus, and the Bible says, “…Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour” (Matthew 17:18).
The disciples, bemused, went privately to Jesus and inquired why they couldn’t cast the devil out. Jesus replied, “…Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting” (Matthew 17:20-21).
Jesus’ response gives us an idea as to a certain kind of preparation that’s necessary for certain things. So, the kind of impact you want to make in the spirit will be determined by the seriousness that you put in prayer.
If you’re going to birth something, for example, that of course, would require some more time of intense fellowship in prayer.
It’s part of the reason we emphasize personal times of prayer, where you shut everything and everyone else out to spend time with the Lord. Have a planned and robust prayer routine; schedule quality times devoid of distractions, for personal fellowship with the Lord. Give more attention to this, especially in these last days.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I’m grateful for the opportunity to pray and bring about deliberate changes during these times of fellowship. I pray for lost souls world over, that the veil of darkness be lifted from their minds, and that they become receptive to the Gospel. I also declare that ministers of the Gospel are strengthened, that many more saints may be perfected for this great work, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
