말의 중요성

“내가 너희에게 이르노니 사람이 무슨 무익한 말을 하든지 심판 날에 이에 대하여 심문을 받으리니 네 말로 의롭다 함을 받고 네 말로 정죄함을 받으리라”(마 12:36-37)
인간에게 주어진 가장 큰 선물은 말하는 것입니다. 하나님은 모든 사람들이 이 사실을 알기 원하십니다. 이 심오한 실재를 발견한 사람은 참으로 축복 받은 사람입니다.
생각해 보십시오. 이 세상은 말씀으로 창조되었고, 모든 창조물은 말씀의 결과물입니다. 하나님의 모든 축복은 말씀을 통해 전달됩니다. 하나님이 인간에게 말을 사용하게 하신 것은 우리에게 가장 위대한 선물을 주신 것과 같습니다. 말을 할 수 있다는 것은 우리를 그분과 같은 존재로 만들어주기 때문입니다.
하나님은 말로 창조하십니다. 땅이 혼돈하고 흑암이 깊음 위에 있을 때에도 하나님은 이 땅을 재건하기 위해 천사들을 징집하거나 끌어들이지 않으셨습니다. 그분은 말씀하셨습니다. 창세기 1장에서 볼 수 있듯이 하나님은 말로 피조물이 실재하도록 불러내셨습니다. 따라서, 그분의 형상대로(그분처럼 보이도록), 그분의 모습대로(그분처럼 기능하도록) 만들어진 우리는 그분처럼 말씀으로 창조합니다.
우리가 속해 있는 하나님의 왕국은 말의 왕국입니다. 그 안에서 우리는 말로 살아가고 통치합니다. 당신이 어떤 말을 하는지가 중요합니다. 당신이 바르게 말한다면 당신의 삶은 바르게 될 것입니다. 당신이 부정적으로 말한다면 당신의 삶은 위험에 처하게 될 것입니다. 잠언 15:4은 말씀합니다. “온순한 혀는 곧 생명 나무이지만 패역한 혀는 마음을 상하게 하느니라” 또한 잠언 18:21은 이렇게 말씀합니다. “죽고 사는 것이 혀의 힘에 달렸나니 혀를 쓰기 좋아하는 자는 혀의 열매를 먹으리라” 주 예수께서도 마가복음 11:2에서 이 점을 강조하십니다. “너는 네가 말하는 것을 얻을 것이다.”
창세기에서는 하나님의 “음성”을 들었다고 말씀합니다. “그들이 날이 시원할 때에 동산을 거니시는 주 하나님의 음성을 듣고…”(창 3:8, 한글킹제임스) 음성은 말 혹은 단어들입니다. 당신이 이것을 이해한다면 절대 공허하고 효력 없는 말을 하지 않을 것입니다. 당신은 올바른 단어들을 말할 것입니다. 당신은 오직 축복의 말, 생명의 말, 다른 사람들을 돕고 세워주는 말, 믿음과 소망과 사랑을 불러 일으키는 말을 할 것입니다.
고백
나는 건전하고 생명을 주는 탁월한 말을 합니다. 그리스도 안에서의 영광스러운 삶과 일치하는 말을 합니다. 나는 건강과 힘과 활력 가운데 걷습니다. 나와 관련된 모든 분야에서 나는 초자연적인 진보를 만들어 냅니다. 나는 언제나 승리하며, 내가 하는 모든 일에서 열매를 맺습니다. 하나님께 영광 드립니다!

THE VALUE OF WORDS
But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned (Matthew 12:36-37).
The greatest gift given to human beings is the gift of speech. I would to God every person on the face of the earth knew that! Blessed is the man or woman who has discovered this profound reality!
Think about it: the world was made by words. All of creation is the result of words; all of God’s blessings are delivered by and through words. When God made
it possible for man to use words, He gave man the greatest gift possible, because that’s what makes us like God.
God creates with words. When the earth was a chaotic mass, and darkness was upon the face of the deep, God didn’t enlist or engage the angels for a ground-breaking or earth-reconstruction project; He spoke words. He spoke creation into being in Genesis 1. Therefore, having made us in His image (to look like Him), and in His likeness (to function like Him), we create with words just like Him.
The Kingdom of God, to which we belong, is a Kingdom of words; therein, we live and reign by words. It’s about what you say. If you talk right, your life will be right. If you talk negatively, your life will be in jeopardy.
Proverbs 15:4 says, “A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.” Proverbs 18:21: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” The Lord Jesus further emphasizes this in Mark 11:23, saying, “You shall have what you say.” Recall in the Book of Genesis that God was called the “Voice”; the voice of the Lord was heard walking in the garden in the cool of the day (Genesis 3:8).
Voice is nothing without speech or words. When you understand this, you’ll never speak empty, inoperative words. You’ll use words correctly. You’ll only speak words of blessings, words of life, words that build and lift others; words that inspire faith, hope, and love in others.
CONFESSION
I speak wholesome, life-giving and excellent words; words that are consistent with the glorious life I have in Christ. I walk in health, strength, and vitality. I make supernatural progress, I win always, and I’m productive in all that I do. Glory to God!
