The Moment Of Faith
“너희 안에서 행하시는 이는 하나님이시니 자기의 기쁘신 뜻을 위하여 너희에게 소원을 두고 행하게 하시나니”(빌 2:13)
유다서 1:20에서 우리는 놀라운 대목을 읽습니다. “사랑하는 자들아 너희는 너희의 지극히 거룩한 믿음 위에 자신을 세우며 성령으로 기도하며” 사도 바울이 여기에서 사용한 “세우다(build)”라는 말은 헬라어 “에포이코도메오(epoikodomeo)”를 번역한 것으로, 새롭게 혹은 아무것도 없는 데서부터 무엇인가를 만든다는 의미가 아니라 이미 존재하고 있는 기초 위에 무엇인가를 쌓아 올린다는 뜻입니다.
성경은 하나님께서 모든 사람에게 동일 분량의 믿음(the measure of faith)을 주셨다는 사실을 알려줍니다(롬 12:3). 하나님께서 당신에게 주신 믿음은 당신이 그분이 원하시는 대로의 성공과 번영과 승리와 신성한 건강과 영광의 삶을 세우는 데 필요한 토대입니다.
하나님의 말씀을 들을 때, 종종 당신에게 믿음이 강하게 찾아오며, 특정한 행동을 하도록 영감을 받습니다. 그것이 바로 믿음의 순간입니다. 즉 당신이 행동해야 하는 때입니다. 만약 지체할 경우, 그 믿음은 약해지거나 사라질 수 있습니다. 그 믿음은 당신이 그때 들은 말씀 안에 담겨서 왔기 때문입니다. 이렇게 믿음이 당신에게 왔을 때, 당신이 해야 할 일은 행동하는 것이고, 그런 다음 그 믿음을 계속 강하게 유지하도록 계속해서 당신의 믿음에 말씀을 먹이는 것입니다.
오늘의 본문 구절에 따르면 하나님은 당신 안에서 자신의 기쁘신 뜻을 위하여 당신에게 소원을 두고 행하게 하시는 분이십니다. 그동안 당신이 주님을 위해 뭔가를 하거나 복음을 위해 행동해야겠다는 영감을 받거나 그런 생각을 한 것은 하나님께서 당신 안에서 그분의 목적을 이루고 계셨던 것입니다. 일단 발을 내디뎠으면, 믿음이 내려가지 않게 하고 계속해서 믿음을 세워 가십시오. 어떤 사람들은 이 부분을 놓쳐서 자신들이 계속 믿음을 세워가야 한다는 사실을 깨닫지 못합니다. 그래서 그들은 불신으로 동요하며 하나님 말씀을 의심합니다.
말씀을 듣고 믿음이 올 때, 즉시 행동하십시오. 비전을 붙잡고 어떤 것도 멈추지 못하게 하십시오. 그 말씀이 헌금에 대한 가르침이었다면, 그 믿음을 활성화하기 위해 즉시 드리십시오. 믿음의 순간을 붙잡고 말씀대로 행동하십시오.
믿음의 열정이 약해지지 않게 하고 계속 불타오르게 하십시오. 하나님의 말씀으로 믿음을 세우고 키우되, 의심을 낳고 말씀을 따라 행동하는 것에 따라 받을 축복을 지연시킬 부정적인 생각이 끼어들 틈을 주지 마십시오.

사랑하는 아버지, 저의 번영을 기뻐하시는 아버지께 영광을 드립니다. 오늘 제가 축복을 받고 누리게 해주시고 승리하는 믿음의 행보를 위한 열쇠를 알려주심에 감사드립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THE MOMENT OF FAITH
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure (Philippians 2:13).
In Jude 1:20, we read something striking; it says, “But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost.” The word, “building” as used by the Apostle Paul doesn’t mean building something afresh or from scratch; it’s the Greek word, “epoikodomeo.” It means to build on, or build upon; building on an already existing foundation. Now, the Bible lets us know that God has dealt to every man the measure of faith (Romans 12:3); the faith given to you by God is the foundation you need to build upon for a life of success, prosperity, victory, divine health and glory as God wants. Oftentimes, as you hear God’s Word, faith comes to you strong, and you’re inspired to take certain actions. That’s your moment of faith; that’s the time you must act. If you delay, that faith could wane or dissipate, because it came in the Word that you heard at that time. What you do when faith comes to you like that is to take action, and then keep feeding your faith to keep it virile.
Our theme verse says God is the one that works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure. All that time you were inspired and thought to do something for the Lord or take an action for the Gospel, it was God working His purpose in you. Once you’ve taken the steps, don’t let your faith down; build on it, because there’s more to do; keep the faith on. This is where some miss it; they don’t realize that they have to build their faith continually; so, they find themselves vacillating, staggering at the Word of God through unbelief. When you hear God’s Word and faith comes to you, act immediately; hold on to the vision, and let nothing stop you. Maybe it’s a teaching about giving, and your faith is stirred up to give, go ahead and do so immediately; seize that hour of faith and act on the Word. Never let the zeal of your faith wane. Keep your faith afire; build and nourish it with the Word of God. Don’t allow space for negative thoughts that’ll breed doubts, and delay your blessing for acting on the Word.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you, for you take pleasure in my prosperity. Thank you for your blessings that I receive and enjoy today, and for showing me the key to a victorious faith-walk, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
