더 큰 일을 감당할 은혜
Grace For More
“그러나 더욱 큰 은혜를 주시나니 그러므로 일렀으되 하나님이 교만한 자를 물리치시고 겸손한 자에게 은혜를 주신다 하였느니라”(약 4:6)
주님이 하나님의 자녀인 당신에게 어떤 과업을 주실 때, 당신을 무슨 일로 부르시든 주님은 그 일에 대한 은혜를 주심으로 당신에게 권한을 부여하십니다. 그분이 당신의 책임을 증가시킬 때에는 은혜 또한 증가시켜 주십니다. 주님이 당신에게 더 높은 책임을 담당할 능력을 증가시켜 주지 않으신다면, 당신은 진정 그 목적을 달성할 수 없습니다. 그렇기 때문에 은혜가 증가되는 게 매우 중요합니다. 여기서 은혜란 당신의 인생을 향한 하나님의 계획을 성취하기 위해 부여된 특별한 호의와 능력을 말합니다.
더 나아가, 성경을 공부해 보면, 당신은 다른 은혜들을 발견하게 될 것입니다. 예를 들어 구원에 대한 은혜가 있는데, 그것은 모든 하나님의 자녀들이 받은 은혜입니다. 성경은 “너희는 그 은혜에 의하여 믿음으로 말미암아 구원을 받았으니 이것은 너희에게서 난 것이 아니요 하나님의 선물이라 행위에서 난 것이 아니니 이는 누구든지 자랑하지 못하게 함이라”(엡 2:8-9)라고 말씀합니다. 그것은 로마서 12:3에서 말하는 은혜와 비슷합니다. “…하나님께서 각 사람에게 나누어 주신 믿음의 분량대로…”
하나님께서 그리스도 안에 있는 모든 사람들에게 일정 분량의 믿음을 주신 것처럼, 구원의 은혜도 모든 사람들에게 주어졌습니다. 하지만 그 후에는, 그리스도 안에 있는 우리에게 주어진 일정분량의 믿음과는 별개의 믿음의 은사(선물)가 있습니다. 마찬가지로 디도서 2:11도 “모든 사람에게 구원을 주시는 하나님의 은혜가 나타나”라고 말씀합니다. 그러나 그리스도 안에는 다른 은혜들도 있습니다.
히브리서 4:16은 말씀합니다. “그러므로 우리는 긍휼하심을 받고 때를 따라 돕는 은혜를 얻기 위하여 은혜의 보좌 앞에 담대히 나아갈 것이니라” 즉, 당신이 맡은 과업을 위한 은혜가 있다는 것입니다. 주님이 당신에게 하라고 지시하시는 일에 대해 혹은 당신의 인생을 향한 그분의 계획과 목적에 일치하는 일들을 담당할 은혜가 있습니다. 그러므로 주님의 계획과 목적을 알게 되면, 당신은 필요한 어떤 은혜든지 얻을 수 있습니다. 할렐루야!
기도
사랑하는 하늘 아버지, 제게 풍성한 은혜를 주셔서 감사합니다. 저는 제 인생을 향한 아버지의 계획과 목적을 성취하는 데 이 은혜를 활용합니다. 저는 제 삶에서, 다시 말해 일과 사역과 학업과 건강과 재정과 저와 관련된 모든 분야에서 역사하는 하나님의 은혜를 증거합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

GRACE FOR MORE
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble (James 4:6).
When the Lord gives you an assignment, He empowers you for whatever He calls you to do, by granting you grace for the job. When He increases your responsibilities, He also increases the grace. Except He increases your ability for the higher responsibility, you really can’t accomplish that purpose. That’s why increased grace is so important. Grace here, is the bestowal of special favour and ability to fulfil God’s plan for your life.
Furthermore, as you study the Scriptures, you’d discover that there’re different graces. For instance, there’s the grace for salvation, and every child of God received that grace. The Bible says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9). It’s akin to what the Bible says concerning faith: “…according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith” (Romans 12:3). Just as God dealt to everyone in Christ the measure of faith, even so has the grace for salvation been given to all men. But then, there’s the gift of faith, which is different from the measure of faith given to us in Christ. Likewise, Titus 2:11 says, “For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.” But there’re also different graces in Christ.
Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” In other words, there’s grace for your assignment; there’s a grace for anything the Lord instructs you to do or that’s consistent with His plan and purpose for your life. Therefore, knowing the Lord’s plans and purposes, you can obtain whatever grace you require. Hallelujah!
PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for lavishing me with grace. I take advantage of this grace, riding on it to fulfil your plans and purposes for my life. I make full proof of your grace in my life, for my work, ministry, academics, health, finances, and all that I’m involved with, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
