자신이 어떻게 생겼는지 항상 기억하십시오
ALWAYS REMEMBER HOW YOU LOOK

“자유롭게 하는 온전한 율법을 들여다보고 있는 자는 듣고 잊어버리는 자가 아니요 실천하는 자니 이 사람은 그 행하는 일에 복을 받으리라”(약 1:25)

하나님의 말씀이 곧 하나님의 거울입니다. 성경은 말씀을 듣고 그대로 행동하지 않는 자는 누구든 거울 속에서 자신을 보지만 몸을 돌리자 자신이 어떻게 생겼는지 잊어버리는 사람과 같습니다(약 1:23-24). 이 의미는, 하나님은 당신이 말씀에 따라 자신이 누구인지 항상 명심하길 기대하신다는 뜻입니다. 하나님이 당신에게 바라시는 것은 그분의 말씀이 당신의 형상을 “하나님의 영광!”으로 비춘다는 사실을 명심하는 것입니다.

당신은 하나님의 영광입니다! 당신은 “아닙니다, 그럴 수 없습니다.”라고 말할지 모르지만, 고린도후서 3:18은 이를 설명합니다. 고린도후서 3:18은 우리가 거울에서 하나님의 영광을 바라볼수록 변모된다(metamorphosed)고 말씀합니다. 우리는 영광에서 영광으로 변모된 같은 형상으로 바뀝니다. 이는 무슨 의미입니까? 거울이란 그 앞에 있는 것은 무엇이든 그것만 반영한다는 것을 압니다. 말씀 그 중 특히 에베소서를 공부하면서 당신이 보는 반사체는 하나님의 영광입니다. 그게 바로 진짜 당신입니다. 이것이 바로 주님이 당신에게 잊지 말라고 요구하시는 것입니다.

하나님의 거울인 말씀은 당신이 그리스도 예수 안에서 하나님의 의이고 아브라함의 씨이며 하나님의 상속자요 그리스도와 함께한 공동상속자임을 밝혀줍니다! 이러한 것들은 당신이 어떤 존재인지를 비춰주는 꼭 기억해야 할 실재들입니다.

당신은 하나님의 의의 전형이요 그분의 살아있는 성막이며 그분의 지혜와 사랑과 은혜의 화신입니다. 그렇게 자신을 보고 그에 따라 말하고 행동하십시오. 그러면 당신은 삶에서 항상 그리스도의 실재와 그분의 영광을 경험하게 될 것입니다.

복되신 아버지, 제 삶에 있는 아버지의 영광과 의로 인해 감사드립니다. 저는 거인의 발걸음으로 진보하고 있습니다. 저는 탁월하고 영광으로 가득합니다. 제가 하는 모든 일에서 형통하게 하려고 아버지의 말씀이 제 안에서 강력하게 역사하고 있습니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

ALWAYS REMEMBER HOW YOU LOOK

But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed (James 1:25)

The Word of God is the mirror of God. The Bible says anyone who hears the Word and doesn’t act accordingly is like a man who looks at himself in a mirror, turns around, and forgets what he looked like.
(James 1:23-24). This means that God expects you to always remember who you are according to the Word; He wants you to always remember that His Word projects your image as “the glory of God!”You might say, “No, that can’t be”; but 2 Corinthians 3:18 explains it. It says as we look at the glory of God in a mirror, we’re metamorphosed; we’re changed into the same image, from glory to glory. What does this mean? We know that a mirror only reflects whatever is set before it. Now, as you study the Word, particularly the Epistles, the reflection you see is the glory of God; that’s the real you. This is what the Lord is asking you not to forget.
The Word, the mirror of God, reveals that you’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus; you’re the seed of Abraham; you’re an heir of God and a joint-heir with Christ! These and other realities are reflections of you that you shouldn’t forget.
You’re the epitome of God’s righteousness; you’re His living tabernacle; the embodiment of His wisdom, love, and grace! See yourself that way; talk and act accordingly, and you’ll experience the reality of Christ and His glory in your life always.

PRAYER
Blessed Father, I thank you for your glory and righteousness in my life! I’m making progress with giant strides; I’m excellent, and full of glory. Your Word is working mightily in me, causing me to prosper in all I do, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

A HERITAGE OF PROSPERITY

“나의 의를 즐거워하는 자들이 기꺼이 노래 부르고 즐거워하게 하시며 그의 종의 평안함을 기뻐하시는 여호와는 위대하시다 하는 말을 그들이 항상 말하게 하소서”(시 35:27)

모든 그리스도인에게는 행복하고 형통하며 건강하고 견실할 권리가 있습니다. 요한삼서 2절에서 사도 요한은 성령님의 마음을 밝혀주고 있습니다. “사랑하는 자여 네 영혼이 잘됨 같이 네가 범사에 잘되고 강건하기를 내가 간구하노라”(요삼 2) 당신은 당신을 형통하게 해달라고 기도하거나 구걸할 필요가 없습니다. 그리스도인은 부자가 되려고 애쓰는 가난한 자가 아니라 그리스도 안에서 다함이 없는 부와 유업을 발견하는 부자입니다.

당신이 아브라함의 씨이기 때문에 재정적인 형통은 하나님이 당신에게 정하신 권리입니다. 성경은 아브라함이 모든 일에서 축복을 받아서(창 24:1), 가축과 은과 금에서 부요했다(창 13:2)고 말씀합니다. 아브라함처럼 당신은 모든 일에서 아주 풍성하도록 축복받고 부요해졌습니다. 갈라디아서 3:29은 말씀합니다. “너희가 그리스도의 것이면 곧 아브라함의 자손이요 약속대로 유업을 이을 자니라” 당신은 하나님의 상속자요 그리스도와 함께한 공동상속자입니다.

그리스도와 함께한 공동상속자는 그리스도의 모든 자산과 재산이 당신 것이라는 뜻입니다. 그리스도가 소유한 모든 것이 당신의 것이지 않습니까? 그리스도는 모든 보석과 자연자원을 포함해서 온 세상을 소유하십니다! 따라서 세상의 모든 부와 더불어 온 세상은 당신 것입니다. 당신은 이 의식으로 담대하게 생각하고 살아갈 수 있습니까?

바울은 다음을 이해했습니다. 성경을 공부한 후 바울은 만물이 당신 것이라고 결론을 내렸습니다(고전 3:21). 당신은 생명에 있는 모든 것을 얻고자 고군분투할 필요가 없었습니다. 당신에게 필요한 모든 것이 주어졌으므로 어떤 것도 구할 필요가 없습니다.

베드로후서 1:3은 말씀합니다. “그의 신기한 능력으로 생명과 경건에 속한 모든 것을 우리에게 주셨으니 이는 자기의 영광과 덕으로써 우리를 부르신 이를 앎으로 말미암음이라” 이것이 바로 당신의 부르심입니다. 그리스도인이 되는 날에 당신은 그 부르심을 받았고 축복의 유산을 받아들였으며 초자연적인 형통과 성공과 승리의 삶을 승인했습니다.

기도
복되신 아버지, 그리스도 안에서 제가 어떤 자리를 차지하고 있는지, 아버지께서 제가 생명과 경건 가운데 사는데 필요한 모든 것으로 저를 축복하셨는지 아는 것이 저의 영혼을 얼마나 기쁨으로 채우는지요! 축복의 유산과 그리스도 예수 안에서 초자연적인 증가와 형통과 영광의 생명이 저의 것입니다. 다른 사람들을 축복하고 높이도록 제 안에서 아버지의 은혜가 역사하니 감사합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

A HERITAGE OF PROSPERITY

Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant (Psalm 35:27).

Every Christian has the right to be happy, prosperous, healthy, and sound. In 3 John 1:2, the Apostle John reveals the mind of the Spirit, saying, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” You don’t have to pray or beg God to prosper you; the Christian isn’t the poor trying to be rich, but the rich discovering his inexhaustible riches and inheritance in Christ.
Financial prosperity is your God-ordained right, for you’re the seed of Abraham. The Bible says Abraham was blessed in all things (Genesis 24:1); he was rich in cattle, in silver, and in gold (Genesis 13:2). Like Abraham, you’ve been blessed and enriched in all things unto all bountifulness. Galatians 3:29 says, “And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” You’re an heir of God, and a joint-heir with Christ.
Being a joint-heir with Christ means all His assets and estates are yours, as much as they’re His; you own everything He owns, and guess what? He owns the whole world, including all its precious stones and natural resources! Thus, the whole world, plus its entire wealth, belongs to you. Can you dare to think and live with this consciousness?
Paul understood this; having studied the Scriptures, he concluded that ALL things are yours (1 Corinthians 3:21). You don’t have to struggle for anything in life; everything you need has been granted you; there’s therefore no need to even ask for anything.
2 Peter 1:3 says, “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue.” This is your calling. The day you became a Christian, you accepted that call; you embraced a heritage of blessings, and endorsed the life of supernatural prosperity, success, and victories.

PRAYER
Blessed Father, what a place I have in Christ, and what joy fills my soul to know that you’ve blessed me with all I require for life and godliness! Mine is a heritage of blessings, and a life of supernatural increase, prosperity and glory in Christ Jesus. Thank you for your grace at work in me to bless and lift others, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

RESPOND TO THE WORD…NOT CIRCUMSTANCES

“바람을 보고 무서워 빠져 가는지라 소리 질러 이르되 주여 나를 구원하소서 하니”(마 14:30)

어느 날 베드로와 다른 제자들이 육지에서 멀리 떨어진 바다에 배를 타고 있었는데, 그들을 향해 누군가 물 위를 걸어오고 있는 것을 보았습니다. 두려워하던 그들은 유령을 보았다고 생각했지만, 그들의 두려움을 진정시키고자 주님이 그들에게 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “안심하라 나니 두려워하지 말라”(마 14:27) 신중에 신중을 더하면서 베드로가 응답했습니다. “주여 만일 주님이시거든 나를 명하사 물 위로 오라 하소서”(마 14:28) 예수님은 베드로에게 “오라!”고 말씀하셨습니다.

지체 없이 베드로는 배에서 물로 내리더니 주님을 만나러 물 위를 걸어갔습니다. 놀라운 기적이었습니다! 하지만 예수님께 다가갔을 때 바람과 파도가 거세지자, 베드로는 주의가 분산되어 가라앉기 시작했습니다(마 14:30). 주님께 주의를 둔 동안에는 베드로가 물 위를 걸었지만, 압도적인 상황으로 초점을 이동시키자 사태가 바뀌었습니다.

상황이 삶을 좌지우지하지 못하게 하십시오. 당신은 믿음의 피조물인데, 믿음은 상황에 개의치 않고 오로지 말씀에만 반응합니다. 적의 공격이 얼마나 거센지는 상관없이 움직이지 말고 승리 가운데 물 위를 걸으십시오. 자신의 나이가 거의 백 세가 되었을 때 자신의 몸을 주목하지 않고 사라의 자궁의 기능이 이미 상실된 것도 개의치 않고 오히려 믿음 안에서 강해져서 하나님께 영광을 돌린 아브라함(롬 4:19)처럼 되십시오.

고린도후서 4:17-18은 말씀합니다. “우리가 잠시 받는 환난의 경한 것이 지극히 크고 영원한 영광의 중한 것을 우리에게 이루게 함이니 우리가 주목하는 것은 보이는 것이 아니요 보이지 않는 것이니 보이는 것은 잠깐이요 보이지 않는 것은 영원함이라” 항상 마음을 말씀에 두되, 도전과 어려움에서 시선을 떼서 살아계신 말씀이신 예수님을 바라보십시오. 그러면 예수님은 계속해서 당신을 완전한 평안인 형통의 평안에 두실 것입니다. 할렐루야!

고백
나의 시선은 주님과 그분의 영원한 말씀에 고정되어 있습니다. 나는 하나님의 말씀이 예비하신 것에 반대되는 상황이나 환경에 움직이거나 방해받거나 주의가 분산되거나 영향을 받지 않습니다. 나는 말씀으로 살기에 상황 위로 올라가서 영원한 승리 가운데 걷습니다. 하나님을 송축합니다.

RESPOND TO THE WORD…NOT TO CIRCUMSTANCES

But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me (Matthew 14:30).

On a certain day, Peter and the other disciples were in a boat, far in the sea, when they saw someone walking on the water towards them.
Frightened, they thought they’d seen a ghost; but to assuage their fear, the Lord said to them, “…Be of good cheer! It is I; do not be afraid” (Matthew 14:27 NKJV).
To be double sure, Peter replied, “…Lord, if it is You, command me to come to You on the water” (Matthew 14:28 NKJV). And Jesus said to Peter, “Come!” Straightaway, Peter got out of the boat, into the water, and started walking on water to meet Jesus; a remarkable miracle! However, as Peter approached Jesus, the wind and waves became boisterous, and Peter became distracted, and began to sink (Matthew 14:30). He walked on the water as long as his attention was on the Master, but things changed when he shifted his focus to the prevailing circumstances.
Refuse to allow circumstances run your life.
You’re a creature of faith, and faith doesn’t consider circumstances; faith responds only to the Word. No matter how fierce the attacks of the enemy may be, refuse to be moved; walk on in victory. Be like Abraham who refused to consider his body, when he was about one hundred years old, neither did he consider the deadness of Sarah’s womb. Rather, he was strong in faith, giving glory to God (Romans 4:19-20).
2 Corinthians 4:17-18 says, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” Stay your mind on the Word always; look away from the challenge, the difficulty, unto Jesus, the living Word, and He’ll keep you in perfect peace; the peace of prosperity. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION
My gaze is fixed on the Lord and His eternal Word. I refuse to be moved, deterred, distracted or influenced by situations or circumstances that are contrary to the provisions of God’s Word. I soar above circumstances, and walk in perpetual victory, because I live by the Word Blessed be God!

ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE

“예수께서 이르시되 할 수 있거든이 무슨 말이냐 믿는 자에게는 능히 하지 못할 일이 없느니라 하시니”(막 9:23)

하나님의 말씀을 기초로 해서 그분께 반응할 때마다 당신은 확실히 간증을 얻을 수 있습니다. 믿음은 하나님의 말씀에 대한 인간 영의 반응이기 때문입니다.

하나님의 말씀은 항상 당신의 반응을 요구합니다. 그 반응 자체가 당신이 말씀을 믿고 있다는 증거입니다. 그래서 “믿는(believes)” 사람에게는 모든 것이 가능합니다. 이는 당신이 믿는 한 어떤 것도 할 수 있고 가질 수 있으며 어디든 갈 수 있고 또 어떤 것도 될 수 있다는 의미입니다. 그렇다면 믿는다는 게 무엇일까요? 믿는 것은 그저 정신적으로 동의하는 것과는 전혀 상관이 없습니다. 믿는 것은 수동적이 아니라 능동적인 것입니다. 믿는 것은 행동의 말이요 믿음의 동사형입니다.

그렇다면 질문은 이것입니다. ‘무엇을 믿는가? 무엇을 믿을 수 있는가?’ 문제가 무엇이든 상관없이 믿을 수 있다면 믿는 자에게는 모든 것이 가능합니다. 그러므로 중요한 것은 당신이 무엇을 믿느냐입니다. 당신은 믿는 대로 됩니다. 임신해서 아이를 낳을 수 있다고 믿으십시오! 다시 걸을 수 있다고 믿으십시오! 다시 볼 수 있다고 믿으십시오! 다시 건강해질 수 있다고 믿으십시오!

병이 당신의 가정을 공격했거나 아니면 사랑하는 이가 심신을 쇠약하게 하는 질환에 시달리고 있는데, 의학은 “치료법이 없다”고 말했을 수도 있습니다. 하지만 “믿는 자에게는 능히 하지 못할 일이 없습니다.” 그리스도인에게는 “치료법”이 없는 경우는 없습니다. 모든 것이 가능하기 때문에 불가능한 것은 없습니다! 단지 믿기만 한다면 당신은 기적을 일으키고 간증을 얻을 수 있습니다.

하나님의 자녀에게는 소망 없는 상황이란 없습니다. 상황에 대해 울부짖으며 상황이 얼마나 심각한지 한탄하지 말고 말씀대로 행동하여 변화를 일으키십시오. 믿음을 일하게 하십시오. 모세와 이스라엘 자손들을 생각해 보십시오. 그들 앞에는 홍해가 있었고 그들의 후미에는 성난 이집트 군대가 쫓아오고 있었습니다. 모세가 하나님께 도와달라고 울부짖었습니다. 하지만 하나님은 “모세야, 네 손을 바다에 뻗어서 가르라.”라고 말씀하셨습니다. 모세는 지시대로 행하였습니다. 그러자 홍해가 크게 갈라졌습니다.

당신 앞과 뒤에 무엇이 있든 상관이 없습니다. 말씀을 사용하여 변화를 일으키십시오. 말씀으로 폭풍을 잠잠하게 하십시오. 예수님은 “하나님께는 불가능한 것이 없느니라”라고 말씀하지 않고 “너희에게 불가능한 일이 전혀 없을 것이니라.”(마 17:20, 한글 킹제임스)고 말씀하셨습니다. 이는 당신이 무슨 일이든 할 수 있고, 하나님이 계획하신 모든 것이 될 수 있다는 뜻입니다. 할렐루야!

기도
사랑하는 아버지, 제 영에 믿음을 전이시켜주시고 말씀을 강하게 세울 수 있게 도와주시니 감사드립니다. 제 믿음은 살아있으므로, 제게 불가능한 것은 없으며 제가 바꾸지 못할 소망 없는 상황은 없습니다. 제 믿음은 강하기 때문입니다. 주님, 끝없는 승리의 삶을 살게 하시니 감사드립니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23).

Whenever you respond to God on the basis of His Word, you’re sure to have a testimony.

That’s because faith is the response of the human spirit to the Word of God. God’s Word always requires a response from you; that response is the proof that you believe the Word.
And to the one who “believes,” anything is possible.
That means you can do anything, have anything, go anywhere, be anything, as long as you believe. What is it to believe? Believing has nothing to do with mere mental assent; it’s not passive; it’s active. Believing is an action word; it’s the verb of faith.
The question then is, what do you believe? And what can you believe? It doesn’t matter what the problem is, if you can believe, all things are possible to you, and with you. So, it’s about what you believe.
What you believe, you become. Believe that you can be pregnant and bring forth your own children! Believe that you can walk again! Believe that you can see again!
Believe that you can be whole again!
Perhaps sickness has attacked your home or you have a loved one that’s suffering terribly from a debilitating ailment, and medical science says there’s no cure. For the Christian, there’s no such thing as “no cure”; nothing is impossible, because anything is possible! You can work a miracle and have a testimony even now.
Instead of crying about the situation, lamenting how dire it is, effect a change by acting on the Word.
Put your faith to work. Consider Moses and the children of Israel: the Red Sea was in front of them, with the fierce Egyptian army on their trail. Moses cried unto God for help. But God said, “Moses, stretch your hand over the water and divide it.” Moses did as he was instructed, and the Red Sea split wide open.
It makes no difference what’s before you, or behind you, use the Word to effect a change; calm the storm with the Word. Jesus didn’t say “nothing shall be impossible unto God”; rather, He said, “…nothing shall be impossible unto you” (Matthew 17:20). That means you can do anything, and be everything God has planned for you to be. Hallelujah!

PRAYER
Dear Father, thank you for imparting faith to my spirit, and helping me build it strong with the Word. My faith is alive; there’s nothing impossible unto me; there’re no hopeless situations I can’t change, because I’m strong in faith. Thank you, Lord, for a life of unending victories, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE LIGHT AND HOPE OF THE WORLD

“구원자들이 시온 산에 올라와 에서의 산을 심판할 것이요, 그 왕국은 주의 것이 되리로다.”(옵 1:21, 한글 킹제임스)

“구원자들이 시온 산에 올라올 것이다”라고 하는 성경 말씀은 ‘너희는 이 땅의 소금이요 세상의 빛이라’고 하신 예수님의 말씀(마 5:13-14)을 생각나게 합니다. 이는 세상의 어둠과 문제와는 상관없이 당신이 세상에 필요한 소망과 해결책이라는 의미입니다. 오늘날 세상의 문제와 어려움은 당신이 하나님의 영광을 비추고 드러낼 기회입니다.

예수님이 “너희 빛이 사람 앞에 비치게 하여 그들로 너희 착한 행실을 보고 하늘에 계신 너희 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하라”(마 5:16)고 말씀하신 것은 당연합니다. 그리고 주 예수님은 요한복음 9:5에서 말씀하셨습니다. “내가 세상에 있는 동안에는 세상의 빛이로라” 그런 다음 예수님은 마태복음 5:14에서 말씀하셨습니다. “너희는 세상의 빛이라…” 이는 당신도 예수님처럼 당신 세상에 구원자라는 뜻입니다. 당신이 세상에 있는 한 당신은 세상의 빛입니다. 빛은 무엇을 합니까?

빛은 방향을 알려주고 묘사합니다. 당신은 세상에서 어떻게 살고 무엇을 하며 어둠과 상관없이 어떻게 성공하는지 보여줄 사람입니다. 빌립보서 2:15이 “이는 너희가 흠이 없고 순전하여 어그러지고 거스르는 세대 가운데서 하나님의 흠 없는 자녀로 세상에서 그들 가운데 빛들로 나타내며”라고 말씀하기 때문입니다. 요한복음 8:12에서 예수님이 말씀하셨습니다. “…나를 따르는 자는 어둠에 다니지 아니하고 생명의 빛을 얻으리라” 그런 다음 요한복음 20:21에서는 이렇게 말씀하셨습니다. “…아버지께서 나를 보내신 것 같이 나도 너희를 보내노라”

주 예수님은 대속적 죽음과 영광스러운 부활을 통해 모든 인간을 위한 구원을 획득하는 일에 자신의 몫을 다하셨습니다. 이제 다른 사람들에게 구원하시는 그분의 능력을 알려주는 것은 당신의 책임입니다. 사실 예수 그리스도의 복음이 바로 오늘 세상이 겪는 문제의 해결책입니다! 우리가 우리 세상에 있는 모든 이에게 비추어야 하는 하나님의 의의 빛보다 더 큰 빛은 없습니다.

복음의 불이 당신 안에 그리고 당신을 통해 타오르게 하십시오. 당신은 세상을 향해 하나님이 뻗으신 사랑과 자비와 긍휼의 손입니다. 당신은 세상의 빛과 소망입니다!

기도
하나님을 송축합니다. 하나님은 저를 고통당하는 세상의 빛과 소망으로 배치하셨습니다! 저를 통해 저의 세상에서 구원받지 못한 자들이 복음의 빛을 듣고 받아들여서 어둠에서 빛으로 사탄의 권능에서 하나님께로 변화되고 전환됩니다! 주님, 저를 복음의 효과적인 사역자와 청지기로 삼아주셔서 감사합니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

THE LIGHT AND HOPE OF THE WORLD

And saviours shall come up on mount Zion to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be the LORD’s (Obadiah 1:21).

When the Bible says, “saviours shall come up from mount Zion,” it brings to mind the words of Jesus that you’re the salt of the earth, and the light of the world (Matthew 5:13 & 14). This means that it makes no difference the darkness and problems in the world, you’re the hope and the solution that the world needs. The problems and hardship in the world today are your opportunities to shine and manifest the glory of God.
No wonder Jesus said, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). He said in John 9:5, “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” Then in Matthew 5:14, He said, “Ye are the light of the world….” That means, like Him, you’re a saviour to your world; as long as you’re in the world, you’re the light of the world.
What does light do? Light gives direction; it describes. You’re the one to show the world how to live, what to do, and how to be successful, irrespective of the darkness, because Philippians 2:15 says, “That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.” In John 8:12, Jesus said, “…I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” Then in John 20:21, He said, “…as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.”
The Lord Jesus did His part in obtaining salvation for all men through His vicarious death and glorious resurrection. Now, it’s your responsibility to tell others about His saving power. That, really, is the solution to the problems in today’s world: the Gospel of Jesus Christ! There’s no greater light than the light of His righteousness with which we must light up everyone in our world.
Let the Gospel-fire burn in you, and through you; you’re God’s hands of love, mercy and compassion to the world. You’re the light and hope of the world!

PRAYER
Blessed be God! I’m divinely positioned as the light and hope of an ailing world! Through me, the unsaved in my world hear and receive the light of the Gospel, and are transformed and turned from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

“하나님이 능히 모든 은혜를 너희에게 넘치게 하시나니 이는 너희로 모든 일에 항상 모든 것이 넉넉하여 모든 착한 일을 넘치게 하게 하려 하심이라”(고후 9:8)

모든 그리스도인에게는 모든 선한 일에서 탁월할 수 있는 은혜가 있습니다. 오늘의 본문구절은 하나님께서 당신이 현세에서 어떤 것을 갖는데 필요한 모든 은혜를 당신에게 향하게 하실 수 있기에 당신은 능률이나 능력에서 결코 뒤처지지 않는다고 말씀합니다. 당신은 모든 과업을 해낼 수 있는 자질이 있습니다. 그것이 바로 “모든 일에 항상 모든 것이 넉넉하다”는 의미입니다. 당신에게는 모든 일을 탁월하게 할 수 있는데 필요한 모든 능률과 특별한 기술과 능력이 있습니다.

오늘의 본문구절에서 “넉넉함(sufficiency)”으로 번역된 말은 헬라어 ‘아우타르케이아(autarkeia)’인데, 이는 어떤 도움이나 후원도 필요치 않은 자족 상태(a state of self-sufficiency)를 의미합니다. 하나님은 당신이 어떤 도움이 필요하지 않을 정도로 매우 유능하고 효과적이며 탁월하도록 아주 균형 잡힌 삶을 주셨습니다! 무한한 가능성과 끝없는 기회의 관점에서 생각하고 보고 사십시오. 당신은 삶의 모든 측면 곧 당신의 직장과 가족과 학업과 일상사에 탁월하도록 은혜를 받았습니다.

고린도후서 3:5은 “우리가 무슨 일이든지 우리에게서 난 것 같이 스스로 만족할 것이 아니니 우리의 만족은 오직 하나님으로부터 나느니라”고 말씀합니다. 여기서 “만족(sufficiency)”이라는 말은 할 수 있도록 자격을 갖추고 과업을 수행할 수 있는 유능함을 의미하는 헬라어 “히카노테스(hikanotes)”를 번역한 것입니다. 삶에서 어떤 도전에 직면하든 상관없이 그 도전은 당신의 밥입니다. 당신은 그것들을 유능하게 다룹니다.

바울이 빌립보서 4:13에서 담대하게 “내게 능력 주시는 자 안에서 내가 모든 것을 할 수 있느니라”고 확언할 수 있었던 것은 당연합니다. 당신이 어떤 일을 하도록 선택되었다면 당신은 그 일을 할 수 있을지 없을지 궁금해할 필요가 없습니다. 당신의 유능함은 하나님께 속한 것입니다. 당신은 하나님의 영광을 위해 초자연적으로 살 수 있는 특별한 능력을 부여받았습니다.

지금이라도 이렇게 선언하십시오. “나는 위대한 일이 이루어지게 한다! 나에게 그리고 나를 통해 선한 일들이 일어나고 있다. 나는 탁월하며 내게는 탁월한 생명이 있다. 내가 탁월함을 낳도록 은혜를 받았기 때문이다.” 하나님을 송축합니다!

GRACED TO EXCEL IN EVERY GOOD WORK

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8)

Every Christian has the grace to excel in every good work. Our opening verse says God is able to direct all the grace you require for anything in this life towards you, such that you’re never behind in competence or ability. You’re qualified for any task; that’s what it means to have “all sufficiency in all things”; you have all the competencies, special skills and abilities required for excellence in all things.
The word translated “sufficiency” in our opening verse is the Greek word “autarkeia,” which indicates a state of self-sufficiency, whereby you require no aid or support. God has given you a life that’s so balanced, such that you’re so efficient, effective, and capable that you don’t require any help! Think, see, and live from this perspective of limitless possibilities, and endless opportunities. You’re graced to excel in every aspect of your life: your job, family, academics and daily pursuits.
2 Corinthians 3:5 says, “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.” The word “sufficiency,” this time, derives from another Greek word, “hikanotes,” which means competence; being qualified enough to be able; to be up to the task. No matter the challenges you might face in life, they’re bread for you; you’re competent to handle them.
No wonder Paul could boldly affirm in Philippians 4:13: “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” If you were chosen for something, there’s no need wondering whether or not you can do it; your competence is of God. You’ve been specially enabled to live supernaturally to the glory of God. Even now, declare, “I make great things happen! Good things are happening for me and through me; I’m excellent, and I have an excellent life, because I’m graced to produce excellence.” Blessed be God!

PRAYER
Dear Father, I thank you for granting me the grace to excel in every good work. I’m excellent, and I have an excellent life. Your divine power works in me mightily, and I go forth to impact and influence my world with your divine presence, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

마태복음 28:19-20에서 주 예수님은 다음과 같이 지시하셨습니다. “그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족을 제자로 삼아 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 세례를 베풀고 내가 너희에게 분부한 모든 것을 가르쳐 지키게 하라 볼지어다 내가 세상 끝날까지 너희와 항상 함께 있으리라 하시니라” 주 예수님은 우리에게 재림하시기 전까지 세상을 복음화하라고 명하셨습니다. 누가복음 19:13에서 예수님은 “내가 돌아올 때까지 장사하라(occupy)”고 비유적으로 말씀하셨습니다. 이는 계속 일하고 말씀을 전하며 영혼을 구원하라는 뜻입니다.

우리는 어두운 세상에서 하나님의 의와 빛을 담아서 운반하는 자들입니다. 우리는 모든 민족을 향한 증인으로서 온 세상 사람들에게 복음의 빛을 가져가야 합니다(마 24:14). 우리는 나약하거나 미지근하거나 가만히 있어서는 안 됩니다. 우리는 성령의 열기와 열정을 유지하고 하나님의 지혜와 능력으로 계속해서 복음을 전해야 합니다. 물론, 우리는 반대에 직면할 것입니다. 이 세상에는 우리에 맞서는 어두운 영역과 이 세상을 지배하는 대적들이 있지만, 이 중에 어떤 것도 우리가 복음을 전하지 못하게 놔두어선 안 됩니다.

우리가 신뢰하는 것은 우리에게 맡겨진 이 영광스러운 복음이 하나님의 의와 영원한 생명과 온 인류를 향한 운명을 밝혀주는 구원하는 하나님의 능력임을 기억하십시오. 이는 우리가 살아야 할 이유(worth)이자, 필요하다면 죽을 수 있는 이유이기도 합니다. 따라서 어떤 즐거움이나 역경이나 반대에 포기하거나 움츠러들지 마십시오. 계속해서 영혼을 구원하십시오.

주 예수 이름으로 저는 온 세상 사람들이 복음을 받을 때 하나님의 의와 영원한 생명과 불멸이 오늘날 온 세상의 사람들에게 밝혀진다고 선언합니다. 저는 인간들의 삶에 드리운 사탄의 권능을 깨며 그리스도의 영광스러운 복음의 빛이 그들의 심령이 비춘다고 확언합니다. 아멘.

Send us around the world with the news of your saving power and your eternal plan for all mankind (Psalm 67:2 TLB).

In Mathew 28:19-20, the Lord Jesus instructed: “Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world.
Amen.” He’s given us the mandate to evangelise the world before He returns. In Luke 19:13, He said,parabolically, “…Occupy till I come”; that means keep working; keep preaching; keep winning souls.
We’re the bearers of His righteousness; His light in a dark world. We must take the light of the Gospel to men and women around the world, as a witness to all nations (Matthew 24:14). We can’t afford to be weak, lukewarm, or quiet. We must maintain the glow and passion of the Spirit, and keep preaching the Gospel in the wisdom and power of God. Yes, we’ll face oppositions; there’re many adversaries; there’s a dark realm over this world and in this world, which we’re set against. But none of these should deter us from preaching the Gospel.
We must have the same mind with the Apostle Paul; read his inspiring conviction and resolve to preach the Gospel: “And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God” (Acts 20:22-24).
Remember, this glorious Gospel which has been committed to our trust is God’s saving power that unveils His righteousness, eternal life, and destiny for all mankind; it’s worth living for, and if need be, dying for. So, refuse to give in or cower under any pressure, adversities or oppositions; keep winning souls.

PRAYER
In the Name of the Lord Jesus, I declare that the righteousness of God, eternal life and immortality are unveiled to men and women around the world today, as they receive the Gospel. I break the power of Satan over men’s lives, and affirm that the light of the glorious Gospel of Christ shines in their hearts. Amen.

예수 이름으로 살기
LIVING IN HIS NAME

“또 무엇을 하든지 말에나 일에나 다 주 예수의 이름으로 하고 그를 힘입어 하나님 아버지께 감사하라”(골 3:17)

주 예수님께는 하늘과 땅에 있는 모든 권세가 있습니다. 예수님이 마태복음 28:18-19에서 말씀하셨습니다. “하늘과 땅의 모든 권세를 내게 주셨으니 그러므로 너희는 가서 모든 민족을 제자로 삼아 아버지와 아들과 성령의 이름으로 세례를 베풀고” 이 진술을 하심으로써 예수님은 그분의 권세를 교회인 우리에게 물려주셨습니다. 이 세상은 물론이고 이 세상 너머에 존재하는 모든 것은 예수 이름에 굴복합니다. 그런데 당신은 예수 이름으로 살고 있습니다!

예수 이름은 어떤 정체를 훨씬 능가하는 의미를 지니는 것으로, 예수님의 권세와 성품을 가리킵니다. 거듭났을 때 당신은 그리스도 안으로 태어난 것입니다. 당신은 예수 이름을 유업으로 받았으므로, 당신에게는 예수님의 권세와 성품이 있습니다. 당신은 그분의 자리에서 기능합니다. 이 점을 이해하십시오. 즉 당신이 말하고 움직이고 행동할 때 이는 문자 그대로 마치 예수님이 말씀하고 움직이고 행동하고 계신 것과 같습니다! 하늘과 지옥과 자연과 생물과 무생물 전체가 예수님께 반응했듯이 당신에게도 반응합니다. 이 얼마나 복된 실재입니까!

당신이 그 권세를 사용할 때 하늘은 그것을 존중하므로, 당신은 어디든 갈 수 있고 받아들여질 수 있습니다. 당신은 전능하신 하나님께 기도할 수 있으며, 그러면 하나님은 온전히 예수님 때문에 응답하실 것입니다. 예수 이름으로 당신은 귀신들을 다스릴 권세가 있으며 새 방언을 말할 수 있고 뱀을 집어 올릴 수 있고, 독을 마실지라도 해를 당하지 않고 병든 사람에게 손을 얹으면 낫게 될 것입니다. 하나님을 송축합니다!

예수 이름에 맞설 수 있는 귀신이나 병이나 문제는 없습니다! 빌립보서 2:9-11은 말씀합니다. “이러므로 하나님이 그를 지극히 높여 모든 이름 위에 뛰어난 이름을 주사 하늘에 있는 자들과 땅에 있는 자들과 땅 아래에 있는 자들로 모든 무릎을 예수의 이름에 꿇게 하시고 모든 입으로 예수 그리스도를 주라 시인하여 하나님 아버지께 영광을 돌리게 하셨느니라”

예수 이름이 암보다 더 큽니다. 예수 이름은 손상된 팔다리를 교체하며 보이지 않는 눈을 볼 수 있게 하고 들리지 않는 귀를 들을 수 있게 하고 죽은 자들을 일으킵니다. 예수 이름으로 당신은 정복자 이상이며, 영원한 챔피언이고, 영원히 열매를 맺고 생산합니다. 대단한 이름입니다!

사랑하는 아버지, 예수 이름으로 살며 그 이름을 사용할 수 있는 대리권을 내게
주셔서 감사합니다. 나는 모든 상황과 이 세상의 위험을 능가하여 승리하며 살아갑니다. 나는 영구적인 평안과 형통과 건강과 성공과 위대함 가운데 살고 있습니다. 할렐루야!

LIVING IN HIS NAME

…whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him (Colossians 3:17).

The Lord Jesus has all authority in heaven and earth. He said in Matthew 28:18-19, “…All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” By that statement, He bequeathed His authority to us, the Church. Everything that exists in this world and beyond is subject to His Name. And you live in His Name!
The Name of Jesus means much more than an identity; it refers to His authority and His character. Being born again, you were born into Christ; you inherited His Name; therefore, you have His authority and His character. You function in His place. Understand this: when you talk, move or act, it’s literally as though Jesus is the one talking, moving, and acting! All of heaven, hell, nature, living, and non-living things, respond to you as they would to Jesus! What a blessed reality!
I encourage you to do a personal study on the Name of Jesus: what that Name represents to the Church! It’s the Name above all names; the Name that opens every door! That’s the Name given to us to live by, and use as an instrument. The Master gave us the power of attorney to use His Name—to act in His stead as His full, legal representatives.
You have heaven’s respect; you can go anywhere and be heard; you can pray to God Almighty and He’d answer, all because of Jesus. In His Name, you have authority over devils; you can speak with new tongues, take up serpents, if you drink any deadly thing, you’ll not be hurt, and you can lay hands on the sick and they’ll recover. Blessed be God!
There’s no demon, sickness or trouble that can stand against that Name! His Name is greater than cancer; it replaces maimed limbs; it opens blind eyes and unstops deaf ears; it raises the dead. In His Name, you’re more than a conqueror, a champion forever; eternally fruitful and productive. What a Name!

CONFESSION
Dear Father, I thank you for the power of attorney you’ve granted me to live in the Name of Jesus. In His Name, I live triumphantly, over and above circumstances, and the perils of this world. I live in perpetual peace, prosperity, health, success and greatness. Hallelujah!

당신은 육신을 십자가에 못 박았습니다
YOU’VE CRUCIFIED THE FLESH

“그리스도 예수의 사람들은 육체와 함께 그 정욕과 탐심을 십자가에 못 박았느니라”(갈 5:24)

특정한 습관에 노예가 된 그리스도인들이 있는데, 그들은 그런 습관을 극복하도록 도와달라고 하나님께 계속해서 기도합니다. 불행하게도 그들 대부분이 기도할수록 오히려 그 습관의 통제와 지배를 점점 더 받습니다. 이로 인해 그들은 혼란스러워하면서 그들의 상황은 더 이상 개선될 수 없다고 생각합니다. 그중 어떤 이들은 자유로워질 수 없을 것이라고 생각해서 넘어지기도 합니다.

그러나 성경을 공부하다가 로마서 6:14을 발견합니다. “죄가 너희를 주장하지 못하리니” 오늘의 본문구절 역시 동일한 목소리를 냅니다. “그리스도 예수의 사람들은 육체와 함께 그 정욕과 탐심을 십자가에 못 박았느니라” 이는 그리스도 안에 있으면 당신은 어떤 습관에도 묶일 수 없다는 뜻입니다. 그렇다면 특정한 습관에 묶여있는 듯이 보이는 사람들의 문제는 무엇입니까? 그것은 단지 그들에게 지식이 없기 때문입니다.

하나님은 우리에게 육신과 싸우라거나 죄와 습관과 고군분투하라고 요구하신 적이 없습니다. 우리는 이미 육신을 십자가에 못 박았습니다. 우리는 세상을 이겼고, 사탄과 죄를 다스릴 통치권이 있습니다. 그러므로 어떤 그리스도인들, 심지어는 말씀을 전하는 자들이 다른 사람들에게 “육신을 십자가에 못 박으십시오”라고 조언할 때 이는 모순된 것입니다.

이미 된 사람이 되려 하거나 이미 가진 것을 얻으려고 애쓰는 것은 쓸모없는 짓입니다. 하나님이 당신이 육신을 십자가에 못 박았다고 말씀하신다면, 이미 그런 것입니다! 당신이 할 역할은 “나는 그리스도의 것이므로 죄나 육신의 지배를 받지 않고 또 받을 수도 없다. 그러므로 나는 육신을 그 정욕과 탐심과 함께 십자가에 못 박았다.”라고 말하여 반응하는 것입니다.

갈라디아서 5:25은 말씀합니다. “만일 우리가 성령으로 살면 또한 성령으로 행할지니” 우리는 성령 안으로 태어나서 성령 안에서 살고 있기에 성령 안에서 걸어야 합니다. 따라서 간단히 말해 성령 안에 걷고 있지 않았다면 성령 안에서, 다시 말해 하나님의 말씀의 빛 안에서 걷기 시작하십시오. 이렇게 선언하십시오. “오늘부터 육신과 마음이 나를 지배하고 주재하지 못할 것이다. 나는 감각의 지배받기를 거부한다. 하나님의 말씀이 나의 나침반이 되었으므로 나는 말씀을 산다.”

갈라디아서 5:16은 말씀합니다. “육체의 소욕은 성령을 거스르고 성령은 육체를 거스르나니 이 둘이 서로 대적함으로 너희가 원하는 것을 하지 못하게 하려 함이니라” 어떻게 성령 안에서 걷습니까? 하나님의 말씀의 빛 가운데 곧 그리스도 안에 있는 진리 안에서, 다시 말해 그분 안에 있는 당신의 의와 영광의 빛 가운데서 걸음으로써 성령 안에서 걷습니다. 할렐루야!

고백
죄가 나를 지배하지 못합니다. 나는 육신을 그 정욕과 탐심과 함께 십자가에 못 박았으므로 성령 안에 살아갑니다. 나는 세상을 이겼습니다. 나는 사탄보다 우월합니다. 나는 주 예수의 이름으로 씻겨서 거룩하며 의롭습니다! 할렐루야!

YOU’VE CRUCIFIED THE FLESH

And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts (Galatians 5:24).

There’re Christians who are enslaved by certain habits, which they keep praying to God to help them overcome. Unfortunately, for most of them, the more they pray, the more they find themselves controlled and dominated by those habits. This has left them confused, and thinking their situation is beyond remedy. Some have even backslidden, because they thought they couldn’t be free.
But in studying the Scriptures, we find that it says in Romans 6:14, “For Sin shall not have dominion over you….” Our opening verse is also unequivocal: “…they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts”; meaning that if you’re in Christ, you can’t be bound by any habit. So, what then is the problem of those who seem to be in bondage to certain habits? It’s simply their lack of knowledge.
God never asked us to fight the flesh or struggle with sin and habits; we’ve crucified the flesh; we’ve overcome the world; we have dominion over Satan and sin. So, when some Christians or even preachers counsel others to “crucify the flesh,” it’s a contradiction.
It’s fruitless to try to be who you already are or get what you already have. If God says you’ve crucified the flesh, then that’s it! Your role is to respond and say, “I don’t get, and can never be, dominated by sin or the flesh, because I am Christ’s. Therefore, I’ve crucified the flesh with its affections and lusts.”
Galatians 5:25 says, “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.” Since we were born into the spirit and we live in the spirit, we’re to walk in the spirit.
So, simply, if you’ve not been walking in the spirit, start walking in the spirit; that is, in the light of God’s Word.
Declare, “From this day, my flesh won’t control me; my mind won’t dictate to me; I refuse to be sense-ruled,
for the Word of God has become my compass, and I live the Word.” Galatians 5:16 says, “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.” How do you walk in the Spirit? It’s by walking in the light of God’s Word. It’s by walking in the truth in Christ; in the light of your righteousness and glory in Him. Hallelujah!

CONFESSION
Sin has no dominion over me. I live in the spirit, having crucified the flesh with its affections and lusts. I’ve overcome the world; I’m superior to Satan; I’m washed, sanctified, and justified, in the Name of the Lord Jesus! Hallelujah!
