A Life Of Dominion
“무릇 하나님께로부터 난 자마다 세상을 이기느니라 세상을 이기는 승리는 이것이니 우리의 믿음이니라”(요1서 5:4)
오늘의 주제 성경 구절을 보면, 사도 요한은 예언을 하고 있는 것이 아닙니다. 그는 우리가 그리스도 안에서 가진 생명, 곧 사탄과 세상 및 그 체제들 위에서 다스리는 삶을 확언하고 있는 것입니다. 그리스도인은 정복될 수 없습니다. 그는 모든 상황에서 승리자입니다. 그는 영광스러운 생명 안으로 태어났고 결코 실패할 수 없습니다.
결코 무너지지 않고 패할 수 없는 당신의 본성, 곧 예수님 안에 있는 당신의 권위와 통치에 대해 예수님이 하신 말씀을 읽어보십시오. “내가 너희에게 뱀과 전갈을 밟으며 원수의 모든 능력을 제어할 권능을 주었으니 너희를 해칠 자가 결코 없으리라”(눅 10:19) 마가복음 16:18에서 예수님은 당신이 뱀을 집어 올리며 무슨 독을 마실지라도 해를 받지 않을 것이라고 말씀하셨습니다. 이는 당신이 독에 중독될 수 없다는 뜻입니다. 참으로 놀라운 생명입니다!
예수님은 세상을 이기셨고, 우리에게 승리, 곧 이 세상을 제압할 능력을 주셨습니다. 그것이 바로 오늘의 주제 성경구절에서 요한이 확언한 바입니다. “이기다(overcome)”라는 단어는 무엇인가에 대해 승리하다, 제압하다, 힘을 갖다, 정복하다, 우세하다라는 뜻입니다. 그러므로 당신은 이 세상의 요소인 인생의 여러 환경들을 제압했고, 길들였으며 정복했습니다. 그러므로 세상을 통치하며 걸으십시오.
말씀은 “너희가 충분히 열심히 기도하면 이길 것이다”라고 말하지 않습니다. 유일한 조건은 하나님께로부터 태어나는 것이고, 그러면 당신은 자동적으로 모든 위기와 환경을 다스리는 능력을 받습니다. 고난은 원수인 마귀로부터 오겠지만, 그것은 잠잠해 질 것입니다. 그리스도 안에서 당신은 이미 승리했기 때문입니다. 고린도후서 2:14는 “항상 우리를 그리스도 안에서 이기게 하신…하나님께 감사하노라”고 말씀합니다.
당신에게 올 수 있는 시련이나 유혹, 도전에 결코 놀라거나 당황하지 마십시오. 그 모든 상황 가운데서 당신은 항상 이길 것입니다. “자녀들아 너희는 하나님께 속하였고 또 그들을 이기었나니 이는 너희 안에 계신 이가 세상에 있는 자보다 크심이라”(요일 4:4) 당신은 이런 사실을 깨달아야 합니다. 이것을 의식하면서 자신을 훈련하고 계발해야 합니다.
기도
저는 말씀으로부터 태어났으므로 저의 근원은 신성하기에, 세상과 그 안에 있는 실패와 증오와 부패와 타락과 한계를 이겼습니다. 그리스도가 제 안에 계시기 때문에 저는 환경에 승리하며 다스립니다. 그것이 바로 점점 증가하는 영광과 영원한 번영의 삶에 대해 제가 가진 확신입니다. 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

A LIFE OF DOMINION
For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith (1 John 5:4).
In the verse above, the Apostle John wasn’t prophesying; he was affirming the life we have in Christ; a life of dominion over satan, the world, and its systems. The Christian is unconquerable; he’s a victor on every count; he’s born into the glory-life, and could never fail. Read Jesus’ assertion about your impregnable and invincible nature—your authority and dominion in Him: “Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” (Luke 10:19). In Mark 16:18, He said you shall tread upon serpents; and if you drink any deadly thing, it’ll have no effect on you. This means you can’t be poisoned. What a life! He overcame the world and gave us the victory, the power to subdue this world. That’s what John affirms in our opening verse. The word, “overcometh”means to have victory over, to subdue, conquer, and to prevail over. You’ve subdued, tamed and conquered the elements of this world; the circumstances of life; therefore, walk in dominion over them. The Word doesn’t say, “You’ll overcome if you pray hard enough”; the only criterion is to be born of God and you automatically have power over every crisis, and dominion over circumstances. Distressing situations may come from the enemy—the devil, but be unruffled; in Christ you’ve already been made victorious. 2 Corinthians 2:14 says, “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ….” Never wonder or be baffled by the trials, temptations or challenges that may come your way; in the midst of them all, you’ll always win: “Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world” (1 John 4:4). You have to come to this realization; train and develop yourself in this consciousness.
Prayer
I’m born of the Word; therefore, my origin is divine. I’ve overcome the world and its failures, hatred, corruption, decadence and limitations. I reign victoriously over circumstances, because Christ is in me; that’s my assurance of a life of ever-increasing glory and eternal prosperity, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
