형식이나 의식을 뛰어넘은 진정한 경배
REAL WORSHIP—BEYOND FORM OR RITUAL
“여호와여 위대하심과 권능과 영광과 승리와 위엄이 다 주께 속하였사오니 천지에 있는 것이 다 주의 것이로소이다 여호와여 주권도 주께 속하였사오니 주는 높으사 만물의 머리이심이니이다”(대상29:11)
어떤 사람들은 경배가 무엇인지 이해하지 못하여 그 축복과 유익을 놓칩니다. 경배는 하나님의 선하심과 축복, 친절하심, 의를 인식하고 감사드리는 것입니다. 그분의 성품을 인식하고 감사하는 것이므로 그분의 성품에 대한 고백입니다. 따라서, 참된 찬양은 경배입니다.
예를 들어, 하나님께 감사를 드리며 “주님, 당신은 선하십니다. 당신은 친절하십니다. 당신은 나를 축복하셨습니다. 당신은 의로우십니다.”고 말합니다. 그렇게 말할 때 당신은 그분의 성품을 정의하고, 인식하고, 감사하고, 알리는 것입니다. 하나님은 그것을 귀하게 여기십니다. 당신의 삶에서 그분이 어떤 분이신 지를 보여주는 것이기 때문입니다. 이는 하나님을 다른 모든 사람 혹은 모든 것으로부터 분리하고 구별하는 것입니다.
하나님의 선하심, 공급, 축복, 당신의 삶에서 행하신 모든 놀라운 일들에 대해 그분께 감사할 때, 당신은 “오 주님, 이 모든 일을 행하신 분이 당신이신 줄 압니다” 라고 말하는 것입니다. 당신은 그러한 아름다운 일들이 주님 덕분이라고 말하는 것입니다. 그렇게 할 때 수반되는 결과는 하나님께서 당신을 위해 더 많은 일을 행하시고, 그분 자신을 더 위대한 방식으로 당신에게 계시하시는 것입니다.
경배는 항상 하나님에 대한 더 큰 계시를 줍니다. 그래서 우리는 사람이나 천사나 다른 어떤 창조물이 아닌 오직 하나님만을 경배합니다. 경배가 얼마나 중요한지요. 경배는 형식이나 의식을 뛰어넘는 특별한 일이 되어야 합니다. 경배는 하나님이 어떤 분이신 지에 대한 참된 인식과 인정, 진정한 만남의 시간이어야 합니다.
기도
사랑하는 아버지, 내 손을 들어 경배하며 내 영으로 찬양과 감사의 제사를 드립니다. 나는 당신을 사랑합니다. 당신만이 하나님이시며, 영원한 영광의 왕이시고, 오직 지혜롭고 참된 하나님이시고, 자비롭고, 친절하고, 거룩하고, 의롭고, 항상 사랑하시고 용서하십니다. 그리스도 예수 안에 있는 신약의 축복에 감사드립니다. 할렐루야!

“Thine, O Lord, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all”(1 Chronicles 29:11).
Some people don’t understand what worship is and so they miss out on its blessings and benefits. Worship is the recognition and appreciation of the goodness, blessings, kindness and righteousness of God. It is the appreciation and recognition of His character, and therefore, the confession of His character. Hence, true praise is worship.
When, for instance, you give thanks to God and say “Lord, you’re good; you’re kind; you’ve blessed me; you’re righteous”; you’re defining, recognizing, appreciating and promoting the character of God. The Lord appreciates that because it shows who He is in your life; it separates or distinguishes Him from everyone and everything else.
When you thank Him for His goodness, provision, blessings, and all the wonderful things He’s done in your life, you’re saying “Oh Lord, I know it’s you who did all these things.” You’re attributing those beautiful works to Him, and the necessary result is that He’ll do more for you and reveal Himself to you in a greater way.
Worship always brings a greater revelation of God. This is why we worship only God, not men, angels, or any other creation. How important worship is; it should be for you something beyond a form or ritual. It should be a time of true recognition, perception, and a real encounter with who God is.
PRAYER
Dear Father, I lift my hands in worship and offer to you sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving from my spirit. I adore you Lord, for you alone are God, the everlasting King of glory, the only wise and true God, gracious and kind, holy and righteous, ever loving and forgiving. Thank you for the blessing of the New Testament in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!
