Be Spiritually Discerning
“시험에 들지 않게 깨어 기도하라 마음에는 원이로되 육신이 약하도다 하시고”(마 26:41)
하나님은 “내 백성이 지식이 없으므로 망하는도다”(호 4:6)라고 말씀하셨습니다. 그리고 예수님은 “진리를 알지니 진리가 너희를 자유롭게 하리라”(요 8:32)고 말씀하셨습니다. 많은 사람들이 진리를 모르기 때문에 자신도 알지 못한 채 어두움 가운데 걷고 있습니다. 그들은 말씀을 알지 못합니다. 그들은 진심으로 진리를 찾고 있습니다. 그들은 하나님을 알고 싶어 하지만, 그 지식을 얻기 위해 잘못된 장소로 갑니다.
당신이 그저 어떤 사람들이 “할렐루야를 외치고 예수님께 박수를 올려 드립시다.”라고 말하는 것을 들었다고 해서, 그것이 예수 그리스도의 교회를 의미하는 것은 아닙니다. 당신은 영적으로 분별할 수 있어야 합니다. 사도행전 16장에서 바울과 실라가 시장을 가로질러 가고 있을 때 악한 영에 사로잡힌 한 여자 아이를 만났습니다. 성경은 말합니다. “그가 바울과 우리를 따라와 소리 질러 이르되 이 사람들은 지극히 높은 하나님의 종으로서 구원의 길을 너희에게 전하는 자라 하며”(행 16:17).
그 소녀가 사실을 말한 것 아닙니까? 맞습니다! 그러나 18절은 이렇게 말합니다. “…바울이 심히 괴로워하여 돌이켜 그 귀신에게 이르되 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 내가 네게 명하노니 그에게서 나오라 하니 귀신이 즉시 나오니라.” 그녀가 말하는 것이 좋게 들렸으나, 그녀는 점술의 영에 사로잡혀 있었던 것입니다. 바울은 이것을 분별하였기 때문에 그녀가 말했을 때 그의 영 안에서 괴로워했습니다.
하나님의 영이 말씀하실 때, 하나님의 자녀는 그의 영 안에서 괴로워하지 않습니다. 오히려, 그는 세움을 받습니다. 당신은 어떤 음성이나 메시지를 들을 때, 그 메시지가 어떤 영에 의해 당신에게 전달되고 있는지 알아야 합니다. 많은 그리스도인들은 사탄의 음성을 듣고는 그것이 하나님의 음성이라고 오해합니다. 이는 그들에게 분별력이 없기 때문입니다.
우리는 마지막 때에 살고 있고, 예수님은 우리에게 이러한 일들이 일어날 것이라 말씀하셨습니다. 그렇기 때문에 그분은 우리에게 “시험에 들지 않게 깨어 기도하라”고 말씀합니다. 그리고 마태복음 10:16에서 그분은 “보라 내가 너희를 보냄이 양을 이리 가운데로 보냄과 같도다 그러므로 너희는 뱀 같이 지혜롭고 비둘기 같이 순결하라”고 말씀하셨습니다. 또한 에베소서 5:15은 이렇게 말합니다. “그런 다음 너희가 어떻게 걷는지 주의하여 보라! 지혜 없고 무분별한 사람처럼 살지 말고, 지혜 있는 자(분별 있고 지적인 사람들)처럼 목적 의식을 가지고 합당하고 정확하게 살아가라.”(AMPC) 그분은 우리에게 무지하지 말고 항상 하나님의 뜻을 분별하라고 말씀합니다.
기도
의로우신 아버지, 나의 영을 건강하게 지키시며, 내가 언제나 분별하여 당신의 완벽한 뜻 가운데 걸을 수 있는 능력을 주심을 감사합니다. 당신의 말씀은 나에게 방향과 인도를 주시는 참된 빛입니다. 주님, 지금 나는 잘못된 방향으로 휩쓸려 가고 있는 모든 이들이 오늘 당신의 음성을 듣고 복음의 진리를 따르게 되길 예수 이름으로 기도합니다. 아멘.

BE SPIRITUALLY DISCERNING
Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak (Matthew 26:41).
God said, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” (Hosea 4:6). And Jesus said, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). Many are walking in darkness without knowing, because they don’t know the truth;
they don’t know the Scriptures. They’re honestly seeking truth; they want to know God, but then they go to the wrong place for knowledge.
Just because you heard some people say, “Shout hallelujah and clap for Jesus,” doesn’t mean it’s a church of Jesus Christ. You’ve got to be spiritually discerning.
In Acts 16, while walking through the marketplace, Paul and Silas encountered a girl possessed with an evil spirit. The Bible says, “The same followed Paul and us, and cried, saying, These men are the servants of the most high God, which shew unto us the way of salvation” (Acts 16:17).
Wasn’t she stating a fact? She was! But the 18 th verse says, “…Paul, being grieved, turned and said to the spirit, I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.”
What she was saying sounded nice, but she was being influenced by a spirit of divination. Paul discerned this, for as she spoke, he (Paul) was grieved in his spirit. When the Spirit of God speaks, a child of God isn’t grieved in his spirit; rather, you’re edified. When you hear a voice or a message, you have to know by what spirit such a message is coming to you. Many Christians have listened to the voice of Satan and mistaken it for God’s voice, because they were undiscerning.
We’re in the last days, and Jesus told us these things would happen; so He says, “Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation….” And in Matthew 10:16, He said, “Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.” Then in Ephesians 5:15 AMP He tells us not to be ignorant, but to always discern the will of God: Therefore see that you walk carefully [living life with honor, purpose, and courage; shunning those who tolerate and enable evil], not as the unwise, but as wise [sensible, intelligent, discerning people.
PRAYER
Righteous Father, I thank you for conditioning my spirit, and granting me the ability to discern and walk in your perfect will always; your Word is the true light that gives me direction and guidance. And now, Lord, I pray for as many as are being swayed in the wrong direction, that they’d hear your voice today and follow the truth of the Gospel, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
