Justified With A New Life
“그러므로 우리가 믿음으로 의롭다 하심을 받았으니 우리 주 예수 그리스도로 말미암아 하나님과 화평을 누리자”(롬 5:1)
예수님이 우리를 위해 하신 모든 일을 생각할 때마다 제 눈에서는 경배와 감사의 눈물이 흐릅니다. 저는 주체할 수 없는 기쁨으로 고무됩니다. 이것에 대해 생각해보십시오. 예수님으로 인해 우리는 결백하고, 의롭고, 무죄라고 선포되었습니다.
에베소서 2:4-6은 말합니다. “긍휼이 풍성하신 하나님이 우리를 사랑하신 그 큰 사랑을 인하여 허물로 죽은 우리를 그리스도와 함께 살리셨고 (너희는 은혜로 구원을 받은 것이라) 또 함께 일으키사 그리스도 예수 안에서 함께 하늘에 앉히시니.” 예수님이 죽으셨을 때, 우리도 그분과 함께 죽었습니다. 그분이 장사되셨을 때, 우리도 그분과 함께 장사되었습니다. 하나님이 그분을 죽은 자 가운데서 살리셨을 때, 우리도 그분과 함께 살아났습니다.
우리는 그분이 죽으시고, 장사되시고, 부활하셨을 때 그분 안에 있었습니다. 로마서 4:24-25은 말합니다. “의로 여기심을 받을 우리도 위함이니 곧 예수 우리 주를 죽은 자 가운데서 살리신 이를 믿는 자니라 예수는 우리가 범죄한 것 때문에 내줌이 되고 또한 우리를 의롭다 하시기 위하여 살아나셨느니라.” 우리는 그분의 죽음으로 의로워진 것이 아닙니다. 우리는 그분의 부활로 의로워졌습니다.
예수님은 죽은 자 가운데서 살아나셨을 때 거듭나셨습니다(행 13:32-33). 그분은 새로운 피조물의 선두주자이십니다. 성경은 이렇게 말합니다. “그런즉 누구든지 그리스도 안에 있으면 새로운 피조물이라 이전 것은 지나갔으니 보라 새것이 되었도다”(고후 5:17).
당신은 생물학적 부모에게서 태어난 그 사람이 아닙니다. 그 사람은 죄의 본성을 가지고 있던 옛사람입니다. 그 옛사람은 그리스도 안에서 죽었습니다. 그리고 당신이 거듭났을 때 새로운 당신이 태어났습니다. 로마서 6:4이 다음과 같이 말하는 것은 당연합니다. “그러므로 우리가 그와 함께 받은 침례에 의하여 죽음 안으로 장사되었으니, 이는 아버지의 영광으로 인하여 그리스도를 죽은 자들로부터 일으키심과 같이 우리도 또한 생명의 새로움 가운데서 행하게 하려 함이니라”(한글킹제임스).
그리스도 안에 있는 당신의 새로운 생명과 본성의 빛과 의식 안에서 행하십시오. 할렐루야!
고백
의로우신 아버지, 주 예수님의 죽음과 장사됨과 부활이 우리를 얼마나 위대한 기쁨으로 인도하였는지요! 그분이 죽은 자 가운데서 살아나셨을 때 우리도 그분과 함께 살아났고, 그로 인해 의롭다 함을 받았습니다. 나는 그리스도 안에 살아있습니다. 그러므로 나는 이 새로운 생명 안에서 행합니다. 아멘.

JUSTIFIED WITH A NEW LIFE
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1).
Each time I think about all that Jesus did for us, oftentimes, tears of worship and appreciation flow freely from my eyes. I’m elated with uncontrollable joy. Think about it: because of Jesus, we’ve been declared not guilty; justified; acquitted.
Ephesians 2:4-6 tells us, “But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.” When Jesus died, we died with Him. When He was buried, we were buried with Him. When God raised Him from the dead, we were raised together with Him.
We were in Him in His death, burial, and resurrection. Romans 4:24-25 says, “But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” We weren’t justified by His death; we were justified by His resurrection. When He was raised from the dead, He was born again (Acts 13:32-33). He’s the head of the new creation. The Bible says, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17).
You’re not the same person that was born of your biological parents; that’s the old man that had the nature of sin. That old man died in Christ, and a new YOU was born when you were born again. No wonder He says in Romans 6:4, “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.” Walk in the consciousness and light of your new life and nature in Christ. Hallelujah!
CONFESSION
Righteous Father, what a great celebration the death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus has ushered us into, in that when he was raised from the dead, we were raised together with Him, and thus, received justification. I’m alive in Christ; therefore, I walk in this newness of life. Amen.
